Awesome 10k walk!
We took a dog-walk today for 2.5 miles, but it's extra since I did spinning class today. It's my "Add an extra video one day this week". emoticon

Just got back from a 10K walk myself, but a slow one for me. Two bad street crossings where I had to wait for the walk sign, two show ties and one ipod shuffle shuffle. (The ipod cord got caught on my belt page and was hanging and had to get it properly back on, so it wouldn't completely fall off.)

We've turned it into a family outing too. Rook, our black lab, got a little overweight with us. PLUS when we're in school she lays around bored. She can't go as far as we can yet, but she'll get there. :)

Walking is cardio and it is good to break up your routines. Who doesn't want to go out for walks with the nice weather we have been getting. Walking is fun, especially when you are with someone else. Way to go.

I wonder why people have to ask if walking counts as cardio? I just don't understand it. Of course, it can count as cardio.

Most of the videos are strength training, except the Sunday video. So yeah, if you can/want to, go ahead and do an hour of spinning and one strength training video. GReat thing to do.

I admit, I have fallen off the strength training wagon and need to hop back on.

This week I did 10 fitness minutes all but one day, Friday. But only one of those days did I use a bootcamp video: We've been going on walks (and I'm double-dipping in the Family Makeover challenge for it too) for 60 minutes, 3.1 miles, 3x weekly. I make up the other days usually walking myself (at work, pacing), or on the elliptical machine (when I remember). I've been trying to turn it into 20 minutes a day. I do alright with it.

The obvious problems are: It's not a bootcamp video, and can you count walking as cardio? O_o

School starts tomorrow, and they have pilates 2x weekly and spinning 2x weekly. I hope to do as many of those as possible. But, if I'm doing an hour long spinning, do I still have to do a workout video that day? What about on days I do an hour long pilates? That's probably not cardio...

Opinions appreciated!
