Several years ago I was experimenting different positions to target the inner jiggly thigh that wouldn't go away. The closest thing that made me feel those inner muscles were working was a type of squat like a pliet. Its a wide stance ( feet just a little wider than shoulder width)with toes pointed out. I did not stick with that health kick years ago but maybe this time I can.
I've also heard that spot reducing is a myth but building muscle in those trouble areas can't hurt. I've also heard that a flexibility routine such as pilates that incorporates long lean muscle sculpting for bulky areas such as the legs and thighs.
I feel your pain! I lose everywhere,but my lower body first. My chest, stomach and believe it or not my fingers are the first to lose. If you are able to run, that has given me the best success of toning and lose some of that extra butt and thigh jiggle. Intervals are great, just run hard for a minute, recover and then keep repeating.
Most of all celebrate your other body parts, toned arms, small waist, sulpted abs or maybe those thighs might carry a little extra cushion, but they are really strong!

I'm a pear just like you and I have never been able to spot reduce. I loose weight EVERYWHERE but my thighs and butt! I've weighed 94 lbs and still thought I was fat because of my hips. I have learned to love my body shape and focus on being healthy instead of model thin. I look to the stars who have made having a booty a good thing. Also, a good bra can help balance out your figure too if you feel you need the boost. I like the Ambrielle up size from JCPenny.

I have found that what SparkPeople tells you is so true about spot reducing. You just can't do it. The cardio helps you to lose all over and the strenght training tightens up and strengthens the areas worked. Cardio is necessary for the overall weight loss.
From what I've learned in SP, I would say that there is no such thing as spot reducing. From my own experience, I would say that walking and being consistent with nutrition and exercise are the best ways to achieve success. Good luck!

I need help from any body who understands my problem.I have big thighs and im loosing weight on every part of my body except my thighs.If anybody knows any exercises except lunges,please let me know.for some reason i can't do the lunges right.Thanks and happy mothers day to all moms.
