Hi everyone! I am new to SparkPeople also! My current goal is to lose 35 pounds and to be healthy as I am not getting any younger - I'm 46 menopause is just around the corner. I'm not trying to lose the weight quickly as I want it to stay off. I am walking with a neighbor, we have some good hills here! I also try to eat healthy (90% of the time). Tomorrow I am going to start a strengthening program also.
I really need help with my motivation and I would love to help motivate others. Anyone want to be buddies with me?

Hi all! You can add me as a buddy if you want - I won't flake on you :) I am about to turn 30 and have just under 30 pounds to lose. I've lost 10 already and had hoped to lose more by now, but I'm happy to see every ounce go! I'm into clean eating, running, lifting, and, newly, Zumba.
I've been working out for a long time and never should have let these pounds creep on (bad job, bad relationship, family problems ganged up on me all at once and I gave up), so feel free to ask me any questions you might have about fitness basics or clean food ideas. Let's go, class of July 10-16!

I am looking for a buddy (or buddies) too. I have done this before and I know it works with a community. I was doing WW and doing pretty well but I didn't have the support that I needed like I know I can get here. I'm in this one for the long haul and I will be healthy and happy with my body.

I too am looking for a buddy. I really am on a mission this time too loose the weight and be healthy. I know that from past experience that when I have some one I can " talk too" about my highs and low days and that understands me is so good for me. I love empowering and being a cheerleader as well. So if anyone is interested in being my SP buddy, please drop me an email. I am looking for a buddy. I agree as I read I see so many people who have left..My story is a long one and I just bloged aobut it but I am here to stay. This is the best time of my life and I cant wait for what the future holds.
I was looking at my emails and I get daily challenges. I think that is great too. If you dont get them let me know I will tell you who sends them everyday.

I've noticed a horrible trend.. people get motivated they join they have great ambitions then the disappear off the radar. Too bad :( I want an active buddy. (or Buddies) One that I can talk to daily.. about every thing and nothing. Recipes.. what and how they are doing in their lives.. What challenges they are going through and what and how they will overcome them. Weight loss isnt just aboubt the pounds, but about the relationship you have with food. And for many of us, its a very intimate relationship that spands across decades of 'food abuse' and lack of will power.
