I feel off the healthy lifestyle wagon and then let it run me over! I don't know why but I gave up last fall and keep struggling to stay recommitted.

I am not back up to my start weight which is the highest I have weighted (as of last week).

Congrats to those who have kept going!

If you have been struggling like me...Love your self and just try to focus on little goals.

I am actually down two pounds this week. The two goals I focused on was drinking my water and trying to change my thinking. Forgiving myself...the past is the past...if I want different results I need to change what I am currently doing. Just because I gained weight back doesn't mean I have to continue to gain weight.

Anyways just wanted to check in and see how others are doing who started last year.

Hope everyone is having a great day! and if it hasn't been great...there is still time left to turn it around!

I joined a new gym, mostly because it's so freaking hot outside that I don't think the dog can take much more. I'm planning to try one of each of their classes in the first month - because if I wait I know I'll find a way to make excuses forever.

PS - Is 14 months too long to wait to make a first post in the team forum? :)

So my progress is really slow but that has been all my own fault. I'm the reason I look like I do and that my A1C (diabetic number) is high. I'm starting a walking program however I just got a really bad leg cramp and had to be picked up from where I had walked from lunch. Thankfully I have a very supportive sister and she helped me. I walked .70 miles and feel good. Tomorrow I'm going to try to walk again but probably for not so far. Its good to walk to lunch because that way I can't stop and go home - like I could on the track at the community center.
My family is supporting a CSA at our local farmers market (Community/Consumer Supported Agriculture). We just got our box this weekend and we have more squash. Seems like thats all that did well in this awful mid-west summer.

Megan, It was good if you were so tired yesterday that you stayed and just relaxed with Hubby and your son. Good for you in going to the step aerobics tonight. I really don't think you will die(although you might think you are going to).....lol...lol.... I like step aerobics. Have fun.

nancy- unfortunately I didn't start my C25K yesterday. I was so exhausted from work and getting up at 3a.m. that I decided to have a relax night with my husband and son. Going to step aerobics tonight though.. First time, I hope I don't die emoticon

Way to go on the weightloss Bipolar! You're doing great, don't get discouraged. I've been kind of at a stand still for the past 2 weeks, hoping to push through this week. I'm adding in some aerobics classes this week to change things up in hope that it helps. I did one class last night and it was a lot of fun.. I'm going to do a step aerobics class on Wednesday. Tonight I'm going to start Couch to 5K. Hope everyone is doing good!!!

You have done very well to have lost 21 lbs in that amount of time (or actually, any amount of time). Sounds great to me. You are exercising and doing what you need to do on this journey. Don't set your goals too high because you could get discouraged because it takes longer to get there. Smaller goals a little at a time is good. When you meet those, you will be really pleased and then you can set new goals. SP has so many things to help us track just about anything you can think of. Good luck on your journey and keep us updated.

It's July 26 2011 and it's 4:47am (Missouri time.) I've been up for awhile and I've done 2-20 minute sessions on my recumbent stationary bike. I'm trying to push myself to do 1 more 20 minute session before I quit for the day, but not sure that I can do it. Since june 10 2011 I've lost 21 pounds. Started out at 265 and now I'm down to 244. This past Friday (July 22 2011) I weighed 246. Some days I just want to give up. I'm not even close to my self imposed goal weight of 120 pounds. But I can almost fit into my size large fuzzy warm pajamas. The top fits at least although it is a bit tight. Haven't even tried to try on the bottoms.

Made it to the gym last night. Managed to get a 12.5 min/mile in, which is good for me considering I couldn't run for a minute 30 days ago. Hoping to keep getting better numbers. The night before I did a 15min/mile, so quite a jump. I pushed myself harder, now I just need to keep gradually pushing forward!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I'm not feeling the greatest and it's EXTREMELY hot here!

It is 105 right now in St. Louis, Persephone and I are heading to the pool after work with a lot of sunblock and ice water.

3 days tracking and being in range (high end) and 3 days at the gym, I'm liking this streak.

Well, we made it back from vacation. My weigh in was this morning, I lost 0.2 lbs since last Monday, but have gained since my Thursday weigh in. I thought this was okay since we were on vacation and didn't eat as healthy as I would if I was at home. Today, it's back to work- not liking it one bit! LOL...

Hoping to get in a good workout tonight- it's extremely hot here today!

Well, I'm on vacation and ate horrible yesterday. I took Mason for a walk/jog this morning which felt good, but I'm sure I didn't burn enough calories to make up for eating last night. Bleh, greasy food and me do not agree anymore!

On the up side, I've got about 3-4lbs to lose before I hit my 20lb weight loss mark!

Healthy156......good for you not to turn to junk food when stressed. Great job. It isn't always the easiest thing to do but you DID it.

Yesterday, I went to Curves, came home and fertilized all veggies/flowers. Pulled weeds. I try to spend at least 1 hour in the yard a day.....most of the time it is more, but I love working in the yard and being outside. I thought we were getting a storm yesterday, but it didn't happen. Not sure what I will be doing today except for a few errands and of course my hour or so in the yard.

Remember to eat healthy, track your food, DRINK your emoticon and do a little exercise. Oh, and have a emoticon day.

Finally got a pretty good workout in. Went across the road to the school track and did some walk/running. Then did some 'grasshopper/mountain climber' moves and jumping jacks. Finished off by running and walking a few blocks in our area. It was 90 degrees out and I was sweating like crazy. This has been my only decent workout all week so we'll see how tomorrow's weigh-in goes!

Ugh, woke up sick this morning with what feels like the flu. I'm hardly ever sick. I ended up not going to work. I seriously laid on he couch until about 1p.m., then had to go pick up Mason from daycare. Hope I feel better soon because I work all weekend!

Thank you, and Yes we had an amazing swim! We also have plans to swim with friends on Tuesday and go to a water park next Saturday! I love having a fish for a child. She can keep up with me in the 9' deep water and it gives me a chance to do some good parenting and exercise at the same time!

Morning everyone! I weighed in today for my Biggest Loser challenge, I'm up from Monday about a pound. I figured that was going to happen because I haven't ate the greatest the last two days. Last night we visited Jason's family again and they had fried chicken, potato salad, and baked beans for supper. I gave in and had two chicken legs, ugh! I entered it into my tracker and I was still within calories. I need to find some time to workout! I haven't had a good workout for at least a week and I can tell.

How is everyone doing?

I had a good weekend, not loss, no gain this morning, I'm pretty content with that.

I've got two cups of fruit and some proteins for lunch so here's hoping I stay full and positive. I had a crazy first two hours of work but it's calming down a bit now.

Down another 2.6lbs this past week. I had to weigh in today (Tuesday) instead of Monday because we were visiting my parents this weekend and they have no scale. I was pretty good eating this weekend other than Sunday night I ate 2 s'mores and then Monday we BBQ'd at my sister's and although it was pretty healthy food, I think I ate too much. It was a long 1.5 hr drive home with a stomach ache emoticon !!

I was scared to weigh-in this morning after that, but it turned out to be okay. I'm down 11.8 lbs total since I started 3 weeks ago. I've done better than I thought I would!

How was everyone's 4th of July weekend? We just spent time with family, nothing major.

Had a nice day yesterday. Went to son's for cookout and had a great time. Today, we worked in yard a little, went for a drive and picked tomato horn worms off of my tomatoes. Yukky.

My little one and I are on an adventure this weekend. Greyhound from St. Louis to Indi to spend the night with my SO, then to Columbus for the 3rd with my extended family. Then back to St. Louis, it's a whirlwind trip but should be a lot of fun. I'm packing healthy snacks for the bus ride and planning to make good choices at the family party! Luckily the S.O. usually has a pretty healthy stocked kitchen and I love to cook for her so that part should be easy!

It's July already! Where has time gone? Anyone have plans for the 4th of July?

We're heading to my parents house on Saturday and staying until Monday. We'll probably attend the firemen's annual street dance, the parade, and a craft fair. Planning on getting a lot of walking in this weekend!!

How is everyone doing today??

Healthy- hope you get feeling better! Keep your head up.

Tmoose- good for you for getting strength training in.

I weighed in today for Biggest Loser- lost 0.2 lbs since Monday, not a lot, but better than a gain. Hoping I can stay on track all weekend!

Feeling a little sluggish the last few days. I blame it on my TOM. Today I was unmotivated, and I read someone's blog about holding whatever pounds' worth of weight in her hands to realize how much she'd lost.

So I went to my dumbbells and held the 5-lb dumbbell in my hand. As I thought about the weight, I realized how silly it was to stand there holding that weight and not actually *do* something with it. So I bit the bullet and did my strength training then and there. Not my best workout, but completed nonetheless!

Tomorrow is my Biggest Loser Summer Slimdown weigh-in, I'm not feeling too confident about this one. I'm pretty sure I've gained since Monday. I haven't got much of any good workouts in and ate like crap yesterday!

I was back on track today, but I felt bloated and yucky from yesterday.

Way to go ladies, it seems like we are all sticking with our baby steps!!

I'm enjoying my already prepared foods. Persephone (my 4 year old) ate a whole bowl of multigrain pasta with grilled chicken instead of the Mac N Cheese she requested! Wooohooo!

Worked outside today for 2 hrs. and it was way too hot. Temps 91 and humidity was really high. This afternoon when Mom returned from senior center, we went to Target and to Ross. Didn't find anything I HAD to buy.......lol...lol....

Healthy- way to go on the cooking! Hope you enjoy all of your meals!

Debbie- glad you made it to the gym. We had strong winds here also and had tree branches laying everywhere. The rest of the week looks sunny and hot!

JLFISH- Way to stay on track. I took snacks with me to my family events, this way if there wasn't a healthy option I had my own. I managed to stay on track all weekend!

I'm feeling a little tired today. I stayed up a little too late last night. I was watching a movie and should have just went to bed. I made some slow cooker salsa chicken for supper last night. It was amazing, 157 calories. I put it in a low carb/high fiber wrap and it was delish. I found the recipe here on sparkrecipes. My husband REALLY loved it. Not sure if I'm going to get a workout in today or not. I work til 5:30pm and then have to be in bed by 7 so I can get up at 3a.m. for work, UGH.

I have been tracking everyday still and making healthy food choices. Drinking my 8 cups of water has become a lot easier to achieve.

I am feeling like I have more energy this week and very motivated! However I am struggling a little with hitting my workout goals. I started strength training last week and I think that is helping me on the scale! I am going to try to get in 15 mins of walking tonight and strength training.

I am a little nervous about the weekend because I am going to visit family. I am going to try and focus on one day at a time and try to do my best everyday!

Made it to the gym yesterday. This morning - out to the gardens. I have lots of bending to do as the cicadas have done their job to our trees and there are branch ends all over. How many calories do you loose when you bend over to pick up a tree branch:)? Have a great day to all!

I cooked up a storm last night. I should have delicious food for the rest of the week!
I'm having a hard time staying awake this morning. I made it safely to work but my eyes are super heavy. It's a side effect of my medicine but it's not usually this bad.

I've got some healthy issues but am feeling good spiritually.

Well, weigh-in went pretty good! Down another 3.2 lbs! Almost 10lbs down in 2 weeks.
