Thanks for the input. I saw it on line for 36.00; it is the 7 disc set. I believe it is a weight based program and I enjoy that type of workout. You are right though, even the most inexpensive program is not worth the money if you dont use it consistently.
That always seems to be my challenge, sticking with the exercise.

I'm here! I hadn't heard of that exercise program, but Googled it. I assume you are just talking about the DVD set? It seemed kind of expensive for a DVD, but it looked like there were lots of reviews at Amazon. I always say the best exercise is the one that you'll do regularly. So, if the reviews sound like something you would enjoy, go for it!

I agree, it has been so quiet. I think we need to have a competition! That is a great way to get people motivated and communicating. I know that i could use the kick in the pants to jump start my eating program. I had been doing so well but then mysteriously I began to put the weight back on. My doctor suspects thyroi, I wiill see.

Good to hear you replaced the burger with a veggie sandwich! I had a great holiday with my family. It's been sooooo quiet in this group lately! Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy July 4th- a little late. I had a BBQ with the best grilled veggie sandwich; I didn't miss the fattening burger at all. I hope everyone had a good holiday!

Thanks for the advice. I think some of it might have just been me being sick and in an illness-induced funk. Now that I'm starting to feel better, it's not really on my radar. I have such an all-or-nothing mindset that I'm not sure I could successfully do the tracking on some days and not others. Even on my really crazy days, I still track. My gut instinct says I would probably be one of those people you mentioned that would be "really, really unsuccessful"! Believe me, I know it's true for a lot of people (I've seen it play out horribly for many). But, who knows. I know another SparkFriend that quit tracking, but still tracks her veggie and water servings. That's something I might consider down the road, too. Definitely easier, but for now I'll hang in there!

I know people who were successful when they stopped tracking and others who were really, really unsuccessful. I think it just depends on the person. You could try it out by having a couple of days a week when you don't track or do track. For example, before I had kids and was working full-time, I pretty much at the same thing Monday through Friday. Weekends were a different story. So, if you followed that pattern, you could try not tracking during the week and then track during the weekend, or whenever you would be out of your normal routine.

Can you believe I'm not over my cold yet?!?! Argh, talk about a downer. I think I'm getting better, but it's a REAL slow process. I'm still getting in my exercise and probably eating less than normal (but with a vitamin supplement). I just want to feel normal again, and soon! I've actually been contemplating the thought of no longer tracking my food/nutrition. I mean, I lost 90 lbs and kept it off for over a year afterwards. Although, I'm up a few pounds right now, but probably just water weight since I've been sick. Any opinions? It's probably just my sickness getting into my head. I learned a while ago not to make major decisions while sick.

I hope you're over your cold. Spring colds are the worst (well, no...summer colds are the worst!). Luckily, we've been able to avoid the colds, but my allergies were out of control a few weeks ago!

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well! This month has kind of been off for me. I think I caught a cold last week which gradually got worse (originally I just thought it was really bad allergies). Last night was the worst so far, so I hope I'm over the 'hump' of it. I usually feel fair during the day, and worse during the mornings and overnight. Still keeping up with my exercise and stuff though.

I'd definitely be up for a challenge in the summer! I did put up the fitness tracker for June and I'm do in a 30 / 30 challenge this month (a 30 minute walk every day this month). I fell off the wagon big time at the end of May, so I really need all the help I can get!

June is here. Where did the first part of year go? Seems like it was just the new year and five months later haven't accomplished much. Can't say the weather's been good with all the rain and humidity - causing really bad hair days!

What do you guys think of a challenge for the summer? How can we get more Team members involved?

Have a great weekend!
