I'm lucky that chips and salsa usually don't get to me. However potato chips are another story! emoticon

For me, it doesn;t even have to be real food. The though of a McRib or Wendy's BBQ chicken dip sandwich will get me to really, really, seriously wanting one, like now;)

I do find that spicy and/or salty food brings on craving for sweet. I can usually compensate on this would be a piece of sugar free hard candy.

I think sugar does something to my brain (seriously) which causes me to stop caring whether I overeat. I try to not eat foods with added sugar, but I had yogurt today, and somehow just had one and didn't eat anything else afterwards. Mexican food is impossible for to not overeat...I love those tortilla chips and salsa.

We ate mexican this weekend and it triggered a craving for something sweet and I think I really wanted pop. The craving went away rather quickly so it wasn't a struggle or maybe it is a sign of being more mindful.

Do certain foods trigger cravings for other foods?
