Just saw your post. That is very interesting! We will see what happens if the U.S. is still able to afford Medicare and other social programs as the baby boomers begin to retire. Perhaps more will be moving.

FYI, I do not know, if any of you follow international stuff like this - BUT , I thought I share with you, something that will never appear on the TV news.
For years, the very wealthy, retired out of the USA, because - "their pensions are non taxable" in a place like France - BUT , the rich - do to being older, sign up for social medical - and get that !! so just when they start racking up doc bills, they run to social countries ..

A new French law passed, saying, if u sign up for ANY social programs, your pension will be taxable at 6% !
the French are getting smarter, about the "Wealthy getting social programs',
