Hi! I am new here as well. Just came across the term "Superfoods" in the last week. I have been having some digestive "issues" and ignoring my health (see blog from yesterday if interested) and picked up the book The SuperFoods RX Diet. I absolutely LOVE 90% of the stuff on the list so I thought I would give it a try and give my body a little break. I am going to try to follow it pretty closely for the first two weeks and then reassess and see how I feel. Regardless I suspect I will try to incorporate these principals as much as possible - it's hard to argue with how good all these foods are for you.

I am REALLY hoping there is someone out there - this doesn't seem like the most active group - I am REALLY anxious to find some support so LETS GO you guys!!!

hi everyone! i joined a week ago and can't believe how well things are going. i haven't weighed yet and i honestly don't really expect a weight loss. the success has been more about a change in mentality, which is awesome to feel. i've tried this site many times before and always sort of veered off and quit, but this time i feel something different. i feel more committed and more willing to check my ego and belief that i know everything and to just listen and read and talk and learn.

there doesn't appear to be a whole lot of activity in this group, but i hope it'll pick up because it's a subject i'm interested in. i don't believe there's anything magical about "superfoods" specifically, but i am very interested in the health power of all foods, so i'm keen to learn more here.

Hi everyone! I have lost almost 17 pounds since joining SP! I am trying to just lose a pound or two a week, nothing drastic, which is going to take a long time to reach my goal of 88 pounds, but it will be worth it next summer which should translate into about 60 more pounds gone! I'm aiming to lose another 10 before the holidays and then hold steady through those horrible eating times and not gain ... then I'll work on losing again in the new year! If I do lose in December, all the better!

Success is the sum of many small steps ...

Hi! I was a Spark People member last year, but I didn't do very well. I came back again this year and I have lost 35 pounds since the end of April. Since being given permission by my doctor to eat what ever foods I wanted to I have improved the type of foods I am eating. Previously I was on a restricted diet due to my ulcerative colotis. Now I am eating alot of fruits, veggies and high fiber and I am loving it.
