Hi, My favorite is Ginger (I cut it up and put it in a pot of water and have ginger tea) You can also put a tiny piece in a juicer with other stuff. It is great and always feels good on a bad throat. The best thing to do is drink aloe vera juice. It is a little expensive and you have to be pretty brave. If you are willing to spring for the good stuff though it's not bitter at all. My favorite is George's Aloe Vera, I get it at Vitamin Shoppe. That tastes just like water no bitterness or flavor. I used to drink it everyday to keep my allergies from acting up. I sing so when I was getting my Masters in Boston I had to drink it regularly to keep cattargh from building up from the cold air. It seemed to be an automatic response for me. I only drink it now if I get sick (very rare now) and I can feel it building on my chest.
