Thank you so much for prayers for my dear Mom. She really needs them.
I won't take the time to describe my extremely busy day with Mom. But
her primary doctor told us, that her blood work, chest xray & heart echo,
came back good. However, she did not get tested for her tummy. Why, I
do not know! She was sent for infusion & referred to a surgeon, to be
scoped, down her throat. I took her to see the surgeon, he questioned
us, then had his nurse to call the hospital to schedule the procedure to
be done today. When I went to his office, it was full of patients. But he
felt my mom was really a sick woman and took care of her first! He is
the one, who did my mastectomy in Nov. 2010.
I took her to infusion at the hospital and the surgeon called for them to
bring her down to be scoped. He came to me after he was finished and
told me that she had a huge ulcer and a large hiatal hernia. He presented
me with colored photos showing both. Wow, it looked horrible to me! He
is sending them off to be biopsied before treating her, to make sure it is
not cancer. I feel the Lord was with us all day. Everything happened
that needed to happen. We were both exhausted when the day ended.
She did eat a plain cheeseburger & a milkshake. This is the first food
that she has eaten in way over a week. In her IV, they gave her lots of
protonics and the nurse told me that should help a lot. Also, she was
treated for dehydration.
Dee, so sorry about the bad news of spots on your mom's pancreas. I
surely hope that it is nothing to worry about. I do hope that the defib
or pacemaker and the pancreas problems can both be treated at the
other hospital. May God bless you, your dad, Mom and the rest of the
family, as you go through these trying times.
