I am not for drone warfare but I can't really say why except I think it would be too easy to kill just anyone, without care or thoughtlessly. As in, "Oh! You killed my dog, I'll fix you - Boom! Take that!"
I have a neighbor (early 70s) that loves drones and/or remote controlled devices. He goes over to a field behind a school that is a designated remote controlled aircraft field RCAF. He has a plane he flies from there (remote controlled plane about 3 feet long). He has a pickup truck (about 2 feet by 1 foot) that he races up and down the road out front when he feels it's fairly safe from real cars using it. Most people stay away from the area cuz they don't know if when they are walking, they won't get attacked by a RCtruck. It can scare you.
Now think of a drone flying over your head and you have no idea of who made it, is flying it, or where it is headed. I don't want that. Believe me, the stupid RC pickup is bad enough. I think someone complained because he doesn't run it up and down the road as much any more. But you would come around the corner only to have a toy rush under your car or near your car and all you see is a streak of color, you don't know what it is and then you want to throttle the idiot racing it when you finally realize what it is. Not what a senior citizens neighborhood needs.
Have a great one!
