I thought it was interesting that there were no comments allowed on the article. I can't imagine that it would have led to any sort of constructive discussion.
The pejorative "caveman", in quotes no less, was telling too. Of course then SP fires up an article about 13 ways to get more protein in your diet which was pretty much 12 dishes with boneless skinless chicken breasts, rice and beans and one bonus dish of just rice and beans.
In any case, I don't really mean to slam SP too much since I generally enjoy the site, use their tools, and ignore the incorrect info. My own bloodwork can attest to the fact that removing all seed oils and only using saturated fat (well, olive oil too especially on salads ... LOL) is what works for me.
I use coconut oil for all my curries and other dishes where the flavor is complementary. I also use it daily for seasoning my cast iron pans.
Despite Ms. Hand's assertions to the contrary, lauric acid is good for you too.
