I'm checking in every now and then to see if someone is out there. Things are going OK here. I need to up my exercise. Summer trickiness -- taking care of myself, entertaining the kids without the TV, and, oh yeah, working.
spent the weekend on the water at Lake Havasu. Drinking water = Easy. Getting meals in = not bad. watching everyone else eat chips, candy and go for the traditional ice cream after boating = imposssible (almost). I managed to do it!
Day 2 complete. I'm a sucker for the first couple of day's (false) results. You see, knowing I'm back to GO, I pigged out on Sunday. So the scale already shows a drop. Amazing how the water and healthy fiber quickly gets my body in a better place. I feel better (yep, could be a placebo effect, but it's a GOOD effect!) And feeling better helps me stick with it. Boiled some eggs so I have food to go!
Laurie, those sound like great goals for your habits! I like your sensible viewpoint on adjusting your TV viewing approach.
My good habit is to take my morning vitamins. ) BLUSH ( Yes, that was a goal before. But I backslid and need to establish that again. My bad habit is sweetened coffee beverages. Sigh. Repeat after me, "It means more to me to be slim and healthy than to have this momentary indulgence." Repeat. Won't be easy, but it's crucial for me. Those huge calorie loads just slide down my throat without much real satisfaction.
Thanks, Laurie, for spurring me to begin this challenge again!

I understand. I get on the scale and go "ouch" when I see it crept up. So, I'm up about 5 pounds from before, which is about 1/3 of what I lost during my last run. I love your sisters words. So, at least we're facing the truth and we can make changes!
My good habit is to read a book for 15 minutes a day. It's a measurable way to make time for me. My bad habit is no watching TV on my computer. I cannot give this up! The point is to be with others, or at least not sedentary on my computer!
Hello! Hey, I'm starting to look here and check in too! You're not alone. Wait, neither am I now! I'm going to start "GAMING" tomorrow. I'll be here "talking to myself"... unless you or someone comes by and checks in. ttfn.
