I didn't reach goal, so I didn't get my bonus this week, though I am satisfied with the half a pound that I did lose.

Laurie, we have all been in your shoes. Don't beat yourself up; please be kind to yourself! My Beck Diet Solution book is such a help when Dr. Judith Beck says, "You can start over right now." Of course I'm NOT talking about Game On! That is just structure; I am trying to say I hope you will feel a sense of freedom to give yourself a clean slate, even this evening, and think of what choices will truly be rewarding and good-feeling for you. I got a miserable 556 this week...UGH! Was not focused at all from Thursday on (and the sad part is, I exercised every day, so this is all food-related stuff that brought my score down)...But, I know I'm in a MUCH better place had I not been playing! So, I am going to start a new forum for posing your daily score. It is completely optional but I figured it would help between rounds for people who want to have some accountability and "stick with it" when there isn't an official round going on. I was thinking about starting our next round January 3rd, which is a Monday. What does everyone think? I'll put a "sign up" forum on as well for that round soon and will send out a team spark mail.

Sadly, I didn't know I could score so low! Team, if you want to throw me off, i wouldn't blame you! But I did meet my personal goal which was to partake in moderation, and not gain weight. I missed meal points from bad timing, or a non-approved food in my meal. It's been rainy, i had to start my christmas shopping, I've been working with my husband crazy busy. My soccer games were rained out. And there was the time we were on our way to dinner and a movie fundraiser. But my son threw-up. Charming. By the time the rest of us got to the theater, there was no time for dinner out, I'd forgotten my emergency food, and I was starved. THAT didn't go well. That pretty much describes my whole week! Thank goodness for sleep and habit points!!

BUT in the end, I actually LOST half a pound! and I got ego strokes cuz people have noticed the weight loss. In the big picture, I'm feeling pretty good!

My score, in little tiny embarassing print is: 577. Sorry :-(

802 for me this week. Making weight helped a lot!

I still haven't figured out the eating on schedule vs. hunger thing so most of my points lost were for missing a meal or being a little late in eating it. I'm OK with that and will keep working on it.

698 for me. I made weight though (or else it would have been a lot lower)! As I'd mentioned in another post, similarly to FreeLady, it was forgetting little things and when I made a poor food choice, it was a controlled portion. That's probably why I still lost (that and I'm very comitted to my exercise program)! I also did very lousy with my water intake this week, so I really need to focus on that.

730 points total for this week. My points really dropped this week but Hurrah! I am so excited about losing 2 pounds! I saw many Game points ebbing away through carelessness like forgetting something had butter in it or an extra weigh-in . . . also being away from home with more events, I had more unsanctioned meals according to the Game On! list, yet they were still healthy and moderate. By God's grace I was vigilant about calories and exercise so I feel elated that it did show up on the scale. I have such a long way to go, but I am telling myself, just keep doing these specific behaviors, and you will get there eventually.

I did great with exercise, sleep, water. Lost a few points to snacking and mindlessly staying on the computer past 8:30. Not making weight really hurt, though I was close so that's all OK. What's the plan now? Are we going to keep playing or just hang out together until after the holidays?

Was doing great until Sunday. Don't laugh, but the way I felt Saturday, I thought I was headed to food poisoning. But it turns out it was the worst cramps I ever had! I think childbirth was easier. If this is perimenopause, I'll pass, thank you very much.

And, Hannah, I may be wrong, but I think team one is closer to West Coast time! I'm just waking up! emoticon And we don't wake up at 5 am! Got to get our sleep points :D.

Not a good week....sorry ladies! I lost a total of 148 points this week. Meal points, a soda or two, and communication points for the week. I was SUPER busy at work and it messed me up. I did however WIN the real life Game On challenge i was participating in! We played for a poem so I got it read to me at a Christmas Party this weekend. That being said, I managed to lose about 8 pounds in a month so I am THRILLED. I would LOVE to do another challenge come January if you guys are up for it. With the holidays and my work level increasing because of it, doing anymore right now just wouldn't be fair to a team that i am on. Let me know what the plan is for another game.

Week 2 for me was 790. Had a snack penalty, a few meal penalties and slipped up on my good habit (tougher one than I thought). Still happy with my score AND my weight loss though!! :) Hope everyone is doing well this Monday morning. I know my stress level is rising as the holidays approach...luckily, I have the game and all of you to thank for my strength in avoiding stress eating though.

WEEK 2

Total points 802.
I worked really hard this week and stayed on my food plan.  I did enjoy that day off and meal off!  The only points I lost were minus ten points x 4 for not overcoming my bad habit on four days.  So I had 660 points, and I did lose 2 pounds, so the 20% bonus is 132 points, plus 10 for posting on time, which comes out to 802 points.  Team 1, I wish you guys the best, but I was determined to do all I could to help us beat you!!

I came out with 768.4. That includes 20% bonus and 10 points for posting today.

I missed a proper meal a couple times, and I couldn't lick my bad habit several days. But I did lose 2 pounds. Hooray!!

I am finding the structure very helpful. I'm being far more consistent than I ever have with any diet, simply because I hate losing points!

LOL, it's Monday, what can we say? I took a snacking penalty for eating an apple. It was supposed to be part of my lunch, but I got busy/forgot about it and then was hungry before my next "meal." This time it was an apple, no biggie, but who knows, next time it could be a snickers bar calling my name so I like that there's the penalty there to make me really consider whether I'm hungry or if it's "worth" the penalty!

Hang in there, Shazamela. I get in those "funks" every now and then too. The water thing is impossible for me today too because I forgot my water bottle and I cannot possibly get up and go to the break room every hour to refill my cup! I think we're all doing fabulously! The message board lets us all reflect on our weaknesses and pull support from others for better scores next week! You can do it!!

Cathy, I don't think you need to deduct anything! The book clearly states that you can follow a different meal plan and you are spacing your meals appropriately, eating healthy foods so I see nothing wrong with that! We could all choose to follow something different if we wanted to! :) Congrats on a GREAT score for your very first week playing!

My score for the week: 715. I was doing fabulous until the weekend hit. Suddenly, drinking water became impossible, I didn't get my sleep points for last night, and I had a tough time fitting in exercise. Normally I exercise Saturday mornings, but I was reminded, just as I was getting my running gear on, that I had an emergency choir practice. But I'm trying to look on the bright side: I exercised 5 times last week, so I'm getting back into the habit of getting up early and getting it done, I drank so much more water over the course of the week then I think I did over the entire month of November, and I've been perfect on my old and new habits. And I took a bit of the Thanksgiving gravy off. Not much, but enough to earn the bonus points :-)

Hi there everyone! The spreadsheet tells me I have 828 points (including the 10 for posting score on time). I lost points for a few meals but didn't snack or have any alcohol this week, and I was consistent with exercise, habits, water, sleep. Thank goodness I saved my day off for yesterday - DBF called last night and we talked for 5 hours. I got to sleep at 3 a.m. We are long distance (he's Canadian, I'm in MN) and are in the process of figuring out where to live so we needed that talk badly - I'd gladly lose sleep points if we could figure this out!!! But, we're making progress.

I do feel a little guilty because I think my modified food plan is a lot easier than what you ladies are doing. I'm sticking to my clean eating plan, SP calorie range, AND eating every 2-4 hours or not counting the points, but do you really think that's fair? Should I take a weekly deduction for following a different plan?

Hannah, that's a solid score! Perfect scores (850) should be hard to get! I was guessing I'm in the low 700s -- thank goodness I made weight this morning!. (OK, not too hard because i was Thanksgiving Weekend "fat" last Monday.) but...

THE FINAL TOTAL: 692. I lost a lot of points for low-cal meals that had not approved foods: non-whole grain bread, incorrect dressing, and salad toppings I couldn't pick out! I've learned something about the need to cook for myself, and my kids are learning how to prepare food I can eat. Yippee!

Thanks Hannah! I think I added the 10 points before the 20% so I am sure that is where the difference is.

Shoppy, I get 719.2. Not a huge discrepency: 700 (perfect score before 20% added in and 10 bonus points) - 109 = 591 + 20% (118.2) = 709.2 + 10 bonus points = 719.2.

Good job though! Congrats on your weight loss!! :) Keep up the great work!!!

ok, IF i did this correctly (and i can do math) I have 721 points this week. I lost 109 points this week (meals, one day of communication, and a water day) BUT i got the 10 pts for reporting my points AND the 20% weight loss bonus. IF you see a glaring error in my points this week. Please let me know.

Ok, I'll be the first to post my score...766, which I consider to be very good! I lost some meal points this week, had a snack penalty and am not doing so hot with my new habit. Hoping to shape up that habit for this week though...!

yeah -- uh, i'll be a one of the low scorer! I've been watching how much i eat, but got slammed today with two mother/daughter teas. The first one I succeeded -- green salad with chicken and a lime/vinegar/touch of olive oil dressing SCORE!! -- second one -- petite sandwiches with white bread, mayo, scones,ham, spinach in filo dough (cannot think of the name of those little things). Clotted cream, jam, sweets galore. UGH!

I'm in a different time zone, but if it makes you feel better, you can post after I do!

Don't forget, if you get your score in on Monday, you get 10 bonus points! :) If you don't feel comfortable posting your score to the board, feel free to private message your score to me if you're on team 2 and to Laurie if you're on team 1!

Please keep in mind, we're all supportive here, so if you tanked, we're here to pick you up off the ground, dust you off and help provide the motivation you need to do better next week!
