This photo was in an email message today. Thought I'd share it with you. It goes perfectly with my challenge this week. ...

-- Instead of doing what's easy, what's moderate, what represents a safe, comfortable improvement, -- go to your depth! We don't want to be uncomfortable. But that's where maximum growth & improvement comes from! That's where we have unbelievable opportunities for improvement, acceleration and confidence! --- "Don't back away. So today I'll be pushing myself out of my comfort zone, for the greater good. Happy Sunday! Have a fantastic new week everyone!

Hey guys!
Marki, I like your idea of building consistency, I always get so wrapped up in perfection sometimes and it's great to see support that it's okay to do things differently
I'm in the process of waking up, I better get some coffee and get moving!
Good luck with your taxes Mary!
Take care everyone!

Happy Labor Day!

emoticon Emi and Marki! Getting your TA done! I'm not getting much exercise right now other than walking - as usual I'm working on taxes this time of year - when that's done I'll do better at working the exercise back into my routine. Finally the weather here is cool enough to enjoy being outside - been in high 60s the last few mornings - delicious!

Marki so sorry to hear about your dad. It's so hard for a teenager to not have use of his dominant hand - even harder for a 90 year old. Hope he's getting help and recovering now. Did your dad need a cast or could they just splint it? Son goes to doc on the 19th hoping he can transition to a splint then.

Too funny that you thought computer generated TA was real!

OK back to taxes I go!

Have a great day!

Pura Vida!

Good morning! It's September! So exciting! I'm catching up on my email this morning. The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy.

Mary, your poor son! How funny that he allowed his friends to scribble on his good arm. I'm glad he's letting his friends help him stay on top of his school work. Allowing others to help, is a sign of strength. It's been so frustrating. My dad (90) had another fall last week and broke his 4th finger on his left hand, and he's left handed. So he really needs more help, but is so stubborn that he's trying to do everything as usual. And it takes a lot more to heal our bodies at that age! So, doing things on his own had ended up making him sicker and we've had to take him back to the ER 3 times emoticon

I'm glad you had a great time on your trip to CA. This summer has been a lot milder than last summer. At least in Huntington Beach. I've actually needed a jacket nearly every morning and evening when I walk the dog. I love it!

Oh and funny you both are commenting on Tracy's seeming robotic. Because what I love about her workouts compared to a Jillian DVD is that Tracy is the one doing the work, not just ordering a perfect bodied minion around. Even if her little smirk has caused me to toss a shoe or two at the tv when the move she's doing had me frustrated to tears. Ha! So anywho ... a long time ago, I had seen some "new" non dancing cardio TA workouts on YouTube. -- I was so excited to try them, but just couldn't keep up with her. It was worse than her dancing. I couldn't believe she never slowed down, changed her breathing or even broke a sweat. emoticon Then I discovered those workouts weren't "real" Tracy. They were computer generated Tracy for XBOX! emoticon I couldn't even tell the difference! Crazy'.

Emi, I'm not worrying about 6 days in a row. I'm working on building a habit. So, if I can only do 10 minutes I'll do 10 minutes. If I need to take a day off I will. And then I just pick up where I left off the next day. I just took 3 days off because we were traveling. So even though today's Sunday, my preferred rest day. I'm planning to workout as soon as I get home.

Oops. Before I forget, Mary congratulations on losing weight and getting back to eating more veggies again! That's awesome!

Have a great day!

Hey guys! For some reason I didn't get a notification when you guys replied v.v
I did day 3 yesterday and plan to do day 4 in just a little bit -- I'm amazed that I actually look forward to the workouts, even tho I'm pretty sore and noodley when I get done
Do you guys normally do one day off for each section? My schedule is kinda whacky and was just wondering what everyone is doing ^.^
I should probably get started -- nice seeing you all! I'll check in again soon :)

Hey Marki and Emi!

Oh my goodness Marki - after a week of delicious Cali weather it was rough coming back to the heat and humidity here - not sure why this summer was so much harder to handle than most - I guess a few degrees hotter makes a big dif and we had a few weeks with no showers so no break from the sun...

Oh well, the worst is behind us! So I'm feeling a little "sparky" again! I actually lost weight this summer because the heat zapped my energy and my appetite - not because I made nutritious choices ): but I've gotten back into eating lots of veggies again - so I can start tracking my food again and not embarrass myself!

DS's faves were UCSB, UC and Stanford not sure the order...he liked UCSD when we were there but after seeing other campuses it fell down the list - not sure if it was because he wasn't wild about their 6 college system or because other campuses had flatter terrain and he's not a fan of climbing hills!

All's good here EXCEPT son played in his first high school football game on Friday night and broke a finger on his right hand emoticon crazy kid played a few more plays with it broken then finally told coach he should probably see the trainer...I saw the trainer ice and wrap him & didn't thing much of it but she called me after the game and said I should have it xrayed Sat morning...thank goodness she did because it's a long break down his 4th proximal phalanx...poor guy...he has a cast from his finger tips to his elbow that he can't get wet and this is the nicest weather of the year for boat and beach (his thumb and 1st two fingers are somewhat free so he can awkwardly hold a pencil)...
life-changing for the next 6 or 8 weeks since he's right handed...oh well he's got good friends who will keep him in high spirits...they hung out at the beach and other places Saturday...when he came home he had all kinds of black Sharpie scribbles all over his left arm...he wouldn't let them draw on or autograph his cast so they drew on the skin of his other arm!

So the last time prior to Friday that son played a football game was the final game of the bantam season in 7th grade and he broke his collar bone! Broken bones 2 games in a row - maybe he should realize football is not the game for him! At least he has time to hopefully recover before basketball begins...

I glanced at the box scores the other day Marki and saw that your nephew is still in the majors! emoticon

Great job ladies doing your Tracy! As usual this time of year I'm in the weeds trying to get company taxes filed so it will be a couple of weeks before I can get back to regular posting and exercise but I will get there!

Emi - hubby gets a kick out of watching me exercise!

Marki - what fun cardio dancing with your giggling nephews!

OK - back to work I go - have a wonderful week!!!!

Pura vida!
Mary

emoticon emoticon Thanks for popping in! Great timing too! I'd been slacking on my Tracy workouts too and just kicked myself in the butt by starting Meta Hiocentric days 1-10 again. Plus an added bonus of Mat Workout arms & standing abs. I am feeling muscles I had forgotten I had. Tomorrow will be day 3. Congratulations on all the exciting changes that I'm certain have occurred in your life since you last posted here. Like having a boyfriend around to watch you do Tracy. emoticon
Happy Monday tomorrow! Hope you and everyone has a wonderful new week.

Ohhhh guys I know it's been tooooo long since I've checked in, I miss you guys! Been forever since I've done Tracy, but decided since I miss doing any sort of workout yesterday that I'd do am extra one and...why not tracy?! Ive found that I actually sort of miss it and I'm of course sore from it, but I'm starting at omni d1-10.
I will do my best to keep with it (I work a weird shift and working out doing Tracy in front of my boyfriend might be weird but...ehhhhhh I'll get over it!)
Just thought I'd say hi and see how everyone was doing! (And I should probably finish the workout huh? Lol)
Take care everyone!

Oh my gosh! Can't believe I forgot to check for posts again. Good thing I'm having Bulletproof Coffee to feed my brain this morning.

Your picture looks so delicious! It made me hungry Ha! Not good since I won't be eating until noon today. Hope it passes.

Yesterday was Day 1 of my 40 day Tracy Mat Workout Arm Challenge. I am going to have sexy arms in time to wear a fabulous new dress for my husband's birthday.

How did the rest of your campus scouting trip go? UCSD and UC Santa Barbara are my favorite UC campuses.

Ok. I just wanted to check in. I'm watching my nephews this morning. And I still need to walk the dog before I go. The best thing is they now love to do Tracy Dance Cardio with me. It's hilarious to watch them jump up and down trying to keep up. They never stop giggling. They have infused my sessions with so much joy. It's nice to finally enjoy the cardio.

Have a great day!

Hey Marki!

I'm pretty good at checking in but terrible about posting a reply since I usually check in with phone.

So I read your post days ago but just sitting down to a keyboard today.

Way to go with your exercise!!! emoticon I've not been meeting my goals but hopefully that will change this week - feeling positive! It was hot here too and I didn't start my days by getting out there early and then used heat as an excuse - but I've walked first thing yesterday and today and think I can make it a routine. Simple. 1. Get up earlier. 2. Open the door and start walking!

Your father's day gathering sounded fabulous! Glad you were able to relax and soak it in!!! Bet it's extra special since your great-nephews are such a big part of you life now! I know you're so happy to live close to your family again!

Your post made me go out and buy some brussels sprouts! I had pumpkin seeds on hand already. And when I made nicoise salads the other day I made extra dressing - evoo, vinegar, lemon, garlic, mustard, s&p - emulsified with an immersion blender (which I've also used to make mayo now!). So I shredded the brussels sprouts and some kale, toasted pumpkin seeds and pecan bits and parm regianno - oh my goodness it was so good! - hubby cleaned his plate! I don't think he even knows he was eating Brussels sprouts - not sure I'll tell him - he claims he doesn't like them!

Sunday dinners have become shrimp night here - I go to the dock (5 minutes away) and get fresh shrimp and make shrimp salad. Last night I made homemade flatbread with fresh ground flour I can order with my CSA. I knew hubby would clean his plate of the flatbreads and the potato salad I made with CSA potatoes but didn't know he'd wipe out the bs/kale salad too! I work hard trying to get him to eat enough sulfurs - this will really help - thanks for the inspiration!

OK - time to go and knock out 30 minutes of MS - no excuses!

Have a great day!

Pura vida!

Mary, I guess because we were texting, I forgot to post. emoticon I must need more healthy fats for my brain and memory emoticon

Now how are your peppers doing? And let me say. Holy crap! That was some crazy weight loss strategies your friend and you were experimenting with! Yikes! Isn't it amazing what we'll do and endure when we're motivated.

I'm not sure if it counts a backsliding again or what, but I was slacking on my Tracy muscle work, and went back to workout this week. Whatever it counts as, I'm happy with the decision. I've felt motivated to get that 30 minutes done first thing in the A.M. I've also tweaked my cardio. I'm doing the rebounder workout, but working on breaking it into intervals. 3 minutes of going all out, even faster than Tracy if I can, and then taking a 1 minute rest. and so on and so on, until it's over. We'll see how it works out.

I've been eating up lots of cabbage and brussel sprouts as part of my meal time salads. Yum! Just with basic lemon, garlic, and oil dressing with salt and a pinch of red peppers in it too. Adding a little pecorino cheese, and toasted almonds or pumpkin seeds.

We had a hot spell the last few days. Thankfully it was not as bad down here by the ocean. Our hottest day was 84. My poor parents live in the valley and were dealing with temps around 109. Yikes!

My challenge this week, is to "not react" to stress, lack of sleep, or any other situation or excuse that I used to use to make less than stellar choices. So far so good. It came in handy on Father's day. As a last minute plan, since it was too too hot to drive out to see my parents, we invited them and everyone over to our (tiny) house. I shopped on a scramble all day Saturday, and then got up at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday to start cooking. Normally I would have been completely stressed ALL day long, but I did great. Changed my perspective, and practiced gratitude all day for the opportunity to share the day with my parents and family and make lasting memories. Even when, everyone tried to help me clean up, I sent them away. Back to relax with everyone and share in the experience of being together. I cleaned up later that night long after everyone had gone. And soaked in the memories that had created the mess. Loved it! The rest of the week has been going great too. No issues, no bad choices. emoticon

Hope you had a great weekend, and that you're having a fabulous week!

hey Marki!

I read your post days ago on my phone but just now sitting down to a computer to post - sorry!

That's so awesome that you're feeling so great!!! And losing some weight! Slow is good!

My peppers aren't looking so hot emoticon but I'm not giving up!

My second fast was 21 years ago when we moved back here a friend and I challenged each other with a weight loss bet...we weighed in on Thursdays...he lost 1.5 lbs a week I lost 1...if we didn't make our weight we had to pay the other $100...if I was over my goal on Tuesday or Wednesday I go extremely low cal for those days...if I was still over on Thursday morning I would completely fast (and drink nothing - not good!!!) until I hit my mark...my friend sometimes was even more extreme - he would drive around with his car heater on in the summer to sweat off the weight! So it certainly wasn't healthy, well thought-out fasting but it worked...we both got down to what we weighed in our teens...and I kept it off for 3 years - then I got pregnant and put on 65 lbs!

Wish I could share our rain with you too! I love it but we have more than our fair share!

Hope your week is off to a great start!

My heart is heavy for the people of Orlando today...we suffered a senseless tragedy here last summer with shooting at Mother Emanuel church...way too many senseless unthinkably horrific tragedies happening...

Peace
Mary

Good morning Mary! Hope you got your Mike's in yesterday. And if you could wish your rain away, I'd love to share it with you. Raini is my favorite! I love the sound and watch the drops fall. No umbrellas for me. Mine is strickly for sun, unless I'm all dress up.

I really hope your peppers grow well for you this time. Then you can your secrets with me, and I'll try next year.

Definitely share your other fasting experiences! I agree that once I stopped and gave it some thought I realized that when I was thin I was always working, going to school and working out in a fasted state. And it was always feast or famine for my body. And I didn't start struggling with my weight and gaining more like a magnet until I started following expert advice and eating several small meals a day to help keep my metabolism going. emoticon

We have officially settled into a more natural fasting flow. I don't even think about food anymore. We're typically going between 18 - 20 hour's between meals. Either feeding between 8 am - 12 pm or between 12-6 pm.

The fat is melting off my husband and dripping slowly off me. I guess his metabolism is healthier than mine. But that's ok because the best part is waking up pain free! -- unless I'm sore from exercising. That pain is the good kind.

Ok I'm off to walk the dog. Then I'll do some Tracy MS and some Jillian cardio spurts.

Have a fabulous day!

Hey Marki!

I'm sure you're a very scary troll monster! emoticon & I'm sure this play is keeping you younger & you're getting exercise while laughing (& crying) - that's the best!

I have hot peppers & bell peppers planted - we'll see how they do - haven't had luck with peppers in many years.

I need 8 minutes ms & 4.5 miles by 3pm tomorrow to make my goal...ms no prob but we're getting rain from Colin so might have to do indoor walking...but I will do it!

How was your weekend? Are you fasting this week?

I never really thought about it but short fasts have been a part of it all 3 times times accomplished significant weight loss...

in college for 4 week days I would eat very little until 4pm then I would hit an all u can eat salad bar & eat til full & that was pretty much it for the day...on weekends I didn't eat much during day...but ate with no careful thought at night & drank quite a few beers & lost 20 lbs in a semester...

later life was different but this post is long enough so I'll tell you about those later!

Hope you've been able to get out for walks today! I'll try to knock my miles out early next week so I don't get stuck indoors by weather...but even though we're saturated & really don't need rain it makes me happy & appreciative but I wish I could send some of our rain your way!

Pura Vida!

Yeah Mary! Screaming triceps! I love it! Keep up the good veggie work. And enjoy your days off.

Today I am catching up on all my junk. I have boys again tomorrow. Troll monster is their favorite game to play. They run from me and scream, until one of us ends up crying. Usually me. emoticon

I love love love crab cakes. emoticon Your smoothie sounds yummy. I just got this recipe in an email.

Author: Kimberly Snyder
Recipe type: Smoothie
Serves: 16 oz
Ingredients
8 ounces coconut water
½ a large grapefruit, peeled and deseeded
½ cup fresh pineapple chunks
½ a banana
½ cup fresh spinach
⅛ cup fresh watercress **see notes
Instructions
Add the coconut water, grapefruit, pineapple, banana, spinach and watercress to the blender. Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth. If needed gradually increase to higher speeds and blend until smooth.
Enjoy!

She also shared this recipe for her daily detox/power smoothie

Green Power Protein Smoothie

Print
Author: Kimberly Snyder
Serves: 1 Serving
Ingredients
1 cup organic hemp milk
1 serving plant-based protein powder (I like the Gardens of Life Brand- check the label for the serving size)
½ ripe banana
½ teaspoon of maca powder (if you are new to maca start with a tiny amount, and always check with your doctor first)
1 tablespoon chia seed gel (Chia seeds soaked in water in a 1:9 ratio)
1 cup spinach (or more!)
Instructions
Blend all ingredients on high until smooth.
Enjoy!

I haven't tried either because I'm fasting and staying away from liquid carbs. Not as satisfying as chewing for me. But both recipes look yummy.

Today I'm staying fasted until Mike gets home at 4. It will end up being 18 hours. On my way into the workout room to do some tracy MS. Went for a 3 mile walk this morning with the dog.

Have a great day!

Hey Marki!

I totally understand when life gets in the way of posting!

I bet the boys are adorable - troll monster! Love it! Sounds like your time with them is great for everybody!

Your breakfast cookout sounds amazing! Yummm!

I managed to get my 90 minutes of MS in last week - but all on Sunday and Monday - my triceps were so sore on Tuesday! Yippee! that means my muscles got some tears and will make themselves stronger! And I got my 35 miles done! (My second week began at 3pm on Tuesday.)

I'm doing pretty good with my veggies but I'm taking every 3rd or 4th day "off"...

I had a nice paddle with a friend early this morning then ate a crabcake and a giant smoothie - grapefruit, pineapple, mango, strawberry, spinach and turnip greens...

Now it's time to do the 30 minute barre workout that made my arms scream on Tuesday!

Hope you've been getting some great sleep! emoticon

Have a great day!

Pura Vida!

Mary, how was your weekend?

Sorry for disappearing over the long weekend. I had hoped to have some quiet time, but by the time I did, it was bedtime. I'm working on my sleep and trying to stay away from blue light after 8. I'm making an exception today because it's been WAY too long since I posted and I just woke up an hour ago from a 4 hour nap emoticon

My great nephews are 2 & 4. Such a fun age. I love seeing how much they learn and change with each new day. I get a beautiful thank you note from my niece (their mom) almost weekly, telling me how grateful she is for my help and influence on her boys. So that adds to my enjoyment. I keep telling my husband that keeping pace with the boys is either helping me stay young or it's going to kill me emoticon
Wow! You got a GREAT price on those plants! Were they spicy peppers or bell peppers? My niece grows spicy peppers, and gives me some when they're ripe because she always had too many. But I would love to grow bell peppers. They are the most expensive veggie I buy regularly. Fresh bell peppers and tomatoes would be so yummy! Hope you got yours planted after the rain. emoticon
OMG! The hardest day of fasting was yesterday! We decided that the best feeding time for us is 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. But with the holiday yesterday, when I took our dog out for his evening walk, everyone was barbecuing!!!!! All the scents made me crave chips and onion dip, and a burger. emoticon
So this morning we had our own cookout. Grilled burgers on top of tomato slices with avocado, grilled onions, and a huge mixed cabbage salad, roasted brussel sprouts. Fresh peaches sautéed in a little butter with a dash of basalmic and toasted coconut flakes. I still feel completely full.

No "fitness" today or yesterday. Just walks with the dog. Sunday was a LONG boy watching day and I carried what felt like a 20 pound diaper/picnic supply backpack when we walked to the park. And did running sprints with it on my back as I tried to keep up with them and played troll monster. Ended up with a pinched muscle and a lingering headache. Hence the accidental 4 hour nap today.

Ok. Well, I'm off to make some bed time tea. Hoping I can fall back to sleep tonight.

That was a great food day for you! Great job with your exercise too!

Hope you got some great rest & are having great fast day!

How old are the boys you babysit?

I started the day strong...5k jog & 1 mile doggie walk...then hit a nursery for some pepper plants...I usually start from seed but the first peppers I planted this year & I really want to figure out what went wrong & don't feel like waiting for seeds to sprout...I got 5 plants for $1.30 but rain started before I got home so I didn't get planted...

Tropical rain from the Bahamas...I couldn't resist s rainy day nap...but up again & going to do some much needed MS!

Have fun babysitting!

Pura Vida!

Wow! That would be stressful being responsible for other people's kids in your boat without an adult. But look at all that great leg work you got in emoticon
Oh my gosh! Watching the boys was the hardest part of fasting! It made me realize how much extra food I shove in my mouth when I'm with them. They want nectarines, and I would normally eat the outside slices with the "skin". Spaghetti? I would taste the sauce and the noodles to make sure they're perfect. Luckily right when they asked if we could go get ice cream their parents called and said they'd be home. So I'm happy to report I stayed in my fasted zone. Tonight at 6 I finished my "feed". Good food day. Salad with lots of veggies and 3 oz of steak oil & vinegar dressing, sliced strawberries and blueberries, then dinner of pumpkin curry and garlic green beans with beef over riced cauliflower and some kombucha emoticon I took my PM vitamins at 6. Now I intend to go until noon tomorrow 18 hours. But if I'm feeling good and not hungry I'll push it to 6 pm or even 6 am Sunday. Sunday wiould make it 36 hours. Which is one of the longer blocks and is supposed to have extra health benefits. And I will be able to enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning with my husband. I haven't been home on a Sunday In awhile. So I'm looking forward to it. I'll let you know how I do.

Today I did 15 min of dancing. 30 min of muscle work and 2 walks with the dog. I'm ready to turn off all my electronics and go to bed. Watching boys tomorrow so I'll need all my energy.

Hope you had a great day! Have a great weekend Mary!

emoticon So glad you're feeling amazing!

Sounds like you have a good plan!

5 miles walking/jogging yesterday and 4 miles paddling! Good thing because I didn't cover any miles today but I probably climbed onto my trailer and into my boat and back down at least 2 dozen times so that must count for something! Son asked late yesterday if he could take some friends out on boat today so my whole morning was devoted to making sure everything is "ship-shape"...it was going to be a flotilla of 3 & son would have 5 on his boat then it changed to 2 boats with 7 on son's boat (our max capacity) then they decided to go to the beach instead! Big relief for me! 1st thing I told son was that I needed a text from each parent that they were ok with their child going out on our boat - well I hadn't received any texts and I would have been regulating who got on board and if I didn't hear from a parent they weren't getting on - and I was only going to have life jackets on board for kids with permission - there are lots of public docks around so I didn't want kids without permission being picked up at another point! Glad I didn't have to be the dock police! And glad son didn't end up in an awkward peer-pressure situation!

Not good nutrition today but only 740 calories and I'm not hungry so probably won't eat more...I'll get back to the veggies tomorrow - this might end up being a 2 or 3 days "on" the veggies then take a break for a day but don't overeat kind of lifestyle for me...

Son just challenged me to a chess game - our new thing so far 1-1 but I have a feeling that 1 I got (our first match) may be my last - he was awfully strong that second match!

How was your babysitting?

Hope you're having a great day!

Pura Vida!

Mary!!!! What a scary experience for you & your son! We leaped into intermittent fasting without planning it out. Started with 2 24 hour fasts in a row. Today at noon we started our feeding period for our 16 hour fast. Which means we ate normal healthy whole food as needed or wanted between the hours of 12-8 pm. It wasn't that easy to get in all my veggies because I was full so fast. Tomorrow we'll do another 16 hour fast only eating between 12-8. Then we need to look at our schedules and decide what will work best for Fri, Sat, & Sun. We want to do two 24 hour fasts per week 2 16 hour fasts 2 18 hours and one feast day. And see how we feel, adjusting as necessary or if needed. If we're feeling good at the end of week one, we'll continue for a second week up to 4 weeks. The ultimate goal will be to incorporate it into our life style and 16 hour daily fasting would become our normal. With 24 hour fasts once or twice a week.

So far I've been feeling amazing and I'm finally able to understand that what I used to think was hunger wasn't really hunger it was mental cravings and a timing habit.

1 walk with the dog today and 30 minutes of muscle structure. Now I'm off to bed. It's our early night.

Yep...the mayo recipe was embedded in the slaw recipe!

What kind of intermittent fast are you doing? You are wise to listen to your bodies. I like that one thing I read on Fung's website was: "Also, if you feel unwell at any point during the fasting, you must stop. You may feel hungry, but you should not feel faint, or unwell or nauseated. This is not normal and you should not attempt to ‘push through’. I am not specifically recommending any fasting regimens, only trying to document various fasting regimens in widespread use."

I tried going keto 3 1/2 years ago and almost fainted while driving on a long bridge with my son in the car - very scary - I put flashers on, slowed down and was shaking so badly I told my son he might have to grab the steering wheel - he was 13 then and was cool as a cucumber he said " ok - just tell me when"...so if I ever attempt fasting I won't be driving or operating heavy machinery until I know my body and brain can handle it!

66F and overcast here...love it! I'm heading out for a jog followed by a paddle - it will be 20 degrees warmer by noon!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Pura vida!

Mary, I thought I put a link for Cabbage slaw with ginger dressing. So I hope there was just a link in the recipe for her mayo. I LOVE her easy immersion blender recipe. I make it right in the jar, almost no clean up. Even as a kid, my husband hated mayo and wouldn't EVER eat anything made with it. But he will put homemade paleo mayo on his brats and eat anything I make with it. emoticon

I think the fact that you aren't eating processed foods and are getting in lots of veggies keeps your insulin in check and you'll be back at your happy weight soon.

I bought the Dr. Fung's book (but haven't started reading it) because his lecture was so interesting and in a way his theory supports "the golden rule of carbs & fat loss ". That Elizabeth Benton taught me and her belief that calories are not all the same. BUT I (we --my husband too). Are on day 2 of our intermittent fasting experiment. We watched a bunch more lectures and decided to just do it emoticon I need to jump into the OC book and see if there are any suggestions for how to do it, other than the terminology used in the lectures 18, 24, 36 hours and Blocks. 4 days or more emoticon

We both experienced serious mental challenges yesterday, in the form of cravings and obsessing over the thought that it was time to eat. But also both acknowledged that we really didn't experience any genuine hunger pangs. In fact this morning I woke up feeling the most rested that I can remember feeling in years, with tons of energy to get my day going. I broke my fast at the 20 hour mark with Unicorn fuel and then at 12:30 my husband and I had that egg, avocado, bacon, cabbage bowl. I felt stuffed quickly and my brain told me to stop eating. It's been 2 hours and I still feel stuffed. CRAZY! We are also taking these new vitamins from Carlton Nutrition-- He and his wife wrote the micronutrient miracle. So I'm not going to worry about my body missing out on anything. It was $35 for a one month supply for each of us. But when I added up the cost of all my individual vitamins I was saving money. Anyway, we've agreed that if either of us has any adverse issues that we'll stop. Day 2 has me feeling much better than day one. Probably because my mind knows that I've already done it once without a problem. Believe, believe, believe. Anything you believe you can achieve.

Ok. Gotta get a walk with dog in. I'm babysitting this afternoon for 6 hours. That has me more scared than the idea of fasting emoticon

Hey Everyone!

Marki - I had a "me day" today. So I tracked and prepped all of my food and hit my nutrition goals with 1000 calories. Trying to stay around 1200 per day.

And I finally watched the Jason Fung video - very interesting! Something I will certainly consider if I don't see weight loss by going back to the methods I used 3 years ago (pretty traditional calorie in/calorie out but focusing on carbs from whole fruits and veggies - pretty much no grains - macronutrients around 35 fat, 30 protein, 35 carb and hitting some micronutrient goals - mainly fiber and potassium).

Are you fasting?

Thank you for the mayo recipe! I was just thinking today that I need something I can sub for the store-bought mayo I've been using for cabbage slaw and for chicken and tuna salad that I've been putting on my giant bowls of greens! I will probably make the mayo tomorrow - but probably a smaller batch - I'll let you know how it turns out!

Walked 3+ miles this morning. Heading to the grocery and the library to get the Wahls book now! Then when the sun gets a little lower and the tide starts coming back in I think I'll go for a kayak paddle.

I'm feeling much better about being able to "just say no" to the bad things lurking in my kitchen - the worst being pretzels that I keep on hand for son - for months I've been snacking on them almost daily but today I feel like I've finally found the " that is not an option" mentality that I had before!

So I think I'm ready for a fitness goal - 35 miles a week - can be a combo and walking/running/kayaking and 90 minutes of some kind of MS a week. Those should be both be doable!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

Pura vida!
Mary

I think you've figured out the secret Mary. Paying attention to your own body and learning what works for you. I've had a busy cleaning day, which means my TV has been playing YouTube Educational videos so I can learn and clean. Today it was more about reinforcing what EB has taught me -- insulin is key to controlling fat loss and weight gain. Dr Jason Feung -- might be spelling that wrong was my favorite. He's written the Obesity Code. He discussed why Calorie counting and Calories in Calories out don't work. Loved him.

Today I made a yummy cabbage salad with ginger dressing. And added roasted pork. I could eat it every day. nomnompaleo.com/post/3955306349/red-

Unicorn Fuel works better at satisfying me than regular BP coffee. I'm trying fat fasting in the morning again.
I'm happy with everything I ate but it was not a perfect Wahl's day. Since I had lots of sulfur veggies and color but not enough leafy greens.

Ok I'm off to bed. Gotta be up at 4;30 have a great weekend!

Unicorn coffee - haha - I tried the bulletproof coffee but I'm not much of a coffee drinker so it didn't really work for me

so I think I'm on day 7 of trying to get back to Wahls - I'd say so far I've had 2 goods , 2 so-so days and 2 bad dasy...so far not good today -but the day's not over so I can change that right now - right!? - as soon as I finish this post I'm going to make a fruit and veggie smoothie!

that cabbage breakfast sounds great - I have all of those things in my fridge so I think I'll do that for lunch today after my smoothie!

when I did Wahls before I counted brussels sprouts, cabbage, collards, kale, etc as sulphurs - I never bought the book - I checked out of library - I think I should check it out again!

OK - time to go - hopefully I'll get some exercise today - need to set a goal in that department too but want to get the food on track first!

Have a great day!

Pura vida!

Mary, YES PLEASE! I need accountability!!! Just look at this. Today is already Thursday, and I'm just checking back in. emoticon

Knocking out veggies in your first meal sounds awesome! My favorite "real" breakfast lately has been --- now it's going to sound weird, but I promise it tastes yummy. lol. -- Chopped green cabbage, avocado, 2 eggs, and two pieces of bacon. All chopped up and mixed together. It's kind of creamy, salty crunchy all at once. It really feels me up. But Im back to having Unicorn fuel (AKA Bulletproof (MCT oil & grasped butter) Coffee with maca powder, cinnamon, turmeric, pinch of cayenne. and cacao) I actually really like the taste much better than plain BP coffee and it fills me up longer.

I haven't had a single "perfect" Wahl's day, but I'm making progress. Sulfur veggies are the hardest for me. Do you remember if brussel sprouts and other cruciferous veggies count as suffers or was it just mushrooms, onions, and garlic. I misplaced my book in the move and need to find it.

Snails!! Ugh! How icky. That would make me so mad! They're so hard to get rid of too!. Those raised boxes would definitely help I think, At least they said, they were made of cedar or something that was a natural insect deterrent.

I would love to grow tomatoes. My nieces grows them, and shares them with me, because she has so many, and they taste absolutely AMAZING. Nothing at all like the bland blobs they sell at the store. Does your home grown lettuce taste better than the bland store bought stuff?

I'm looking forward to having Wahl's veggies be a habit again. Even the limited progress I've made so far has made a difference in my energy and sleep.

Well, Happy Thursday! I've been up since 3 a.m. -- on purpose to make my husband breakfast. He leaves for work at 4:30 a.m. I had my Unicorn fuel coffee at 4:00 with him and have been catching up cleaning. Now I'm heading out for a walk with our dog.

Today's fitness goal is 30 minutes of Tracy. Still at Meta level 2.

Happy Sunday!

I never got around to my weeding on Friday (kiddo asked for "mom food" as I was heading out)...but spent 3 hours out there this morning while it was still shady...weeding and snail removal...these tiny snails are my nemesis - they're smaller than the diameter of a pencil but there are so many of them! - at least they're easy to catch! I'll have to look for those Costco boxes next year - bet that would help with my snail issues!

Can't believe it's already been a year since you moved back to CA - I know you and doggie are enjoy those breezes and I'm so happy that CA has gotten rain this year! Last year you couldn't have even considered a garden. This is the first time in probably 10 years that I've planted in the ground...for years I grew tomatoes and cucumbers and herbs in containers and last year I added lettuces...maybe you should start with a couple of pots?

OK today is day 3 of Wahls veggies and I already feel better (even though I didn't eat all of the sulfurs that I should have yesterday)...

I just finished my first meal of the day - brunch with lots of veggies - mushrooms, onions, cabbage, carrots, beets - best for me to knock of as many veggies as I can with the first meal - I tend to get lazy about preparing food for myself later in the day - but instead of grabbing a handful of pretzels during lazy time I've started grabbing a few nuts and a little grass-fed cheese (Comte from costco), then if I still have the munchies I'll either get out of the house or make myself big salad...that's my plan anyway! always easier said than done!

Want to be accountability buddies again? I fell off the food wagon last July when I spent a week in a hotel in Louisville with son's basketball team and haven't been able to get my mojo back since - weird considering I did so well for 2 years - but not really that unusually I guess.
So I'm 10 lbs over the weight that I "hung out" at for 2 years. Could be worse - but 10 lbs makes me go up 2 full clothing sizes so I've got some cute board short that I'd like to wear when I paddle my kayak but they are way too tight and I refuse to buy bigger ones. Right now I'm wearing a couple of pair from my larger days - they are too big but at least they're comfortable!

Ok time to get moving again - Off to the garden I go...have a wonderful day!

Pura Vida!

Yeah Mary! I've missed you! I'm so sorry about your dog. Thank goodness his sense of smell still works. I think your little guy it's the perfect example of how we should all keep our perspective on what we CAN do.

You're so right. I have never felt better than when Wahl's veggies were a daily habit. I'm working on getting back to that too.

All your outdoor activity sounds fabulous! I love that you have a veggie garden. I saw these raised planting boxes at Costco and wanted to buy them to plant some veggies of my own, but when I talked my husband into it they were sold out. I didn't realize what a great deal they were until I looked for them online. Yikes they were twice as much. My husband was a firm no at that price. Boo! We've been back in CA for a year now and I haven't joined a CSA or been to a farmers market. Luckily I can walk to Mother's market and it has organic veggies at great prices. Well much better than Whole Foods.

I'm so happy that I'm working out with Tracy again. But I must confess I started mixing in some "extras" too to keep me on my toes. Double daily walks with my furry guy are still mandatory but soooo much nicer now that we can enjoy an ocean breeze while we walk.

Oh and thanks! My nephew was called up about two weeks ago now to help fill in while another player recovers from an injury. His mom & sister got to sit in the owner's box on Mother's Day. It was a special day for all of them. Keeping our fingers crossed his time continues to get extended. He's such a great kid -- ha! Young man.

Well hope you've had a beautiful day and have another one tomorrow!

Hey team!

Marki - it was so great hearing from you today! Congratulations to your nephew!!!!

I read back through the last few weeks posts and seems like we've both been battling some poor choices that end up making us feel bad. Weird how we let ourselves do that when we both know better! Can't change yesterday but you helped me do better today! After hearing from you I started thinking about the "old days" when I had my "A game". I think the best I ever felt was when I was doing the veggie portion of Wahls protocol - so I started today! 3 cups of sulfurs, 3 cups of green leafy and 3 cups of colorfuls everyday for 10 days! Excited to see how I'll feel on May 23! And back to tracking food so I know I'm getting enough fiber and potassium - when I make poor choices I know those 2 things (among others) are low.

Exercise for me these days is mostly walking and kayaking with a little jogging thrown in. Need to work on that too but for now I'll focus on food - the good food will hopefully give me more energy and make me want to do some more intense workouts! Still walking my little pooch Harry a bunch and he still loves it but sadly he went blind a couple of months ago ): - but his sniffer and ears still work so he still has a waggy tail and loves to retrieve his toys!

OK time to go weed my little veggie garden - it was on my to-do list for today but I used the bright sunshine as an excuse and put it off until it was shady out there - well it's shady now so can't put it off any longer!

Great job with your workouts everyone! Keep up the good work!

LOS your doggie is precious!

Off I go! emoticon

Great job on your workout! Day 2 of 11-20. I actually enjoy this level a lot more than days 1-10. But probably only because my body is bouncing back and feeling stronger again. Yeah!

Live streaming was a lot more fun than the DVDs. I don't know how to word this so it doesn't make me seem negative
... But I liked watching Tracy being amazing and seeing that the women in her "class" were real. not perfect Tracy replicas. Some would be clearly struggling, some would be doing great but have to stop and rest, so it really helped me feel more at ease with my own "performance". And be less critical of myself.

Do you have any really great friends that love Tracy too? I was lucky enough to have one and we were able to "share" the cost of the membership. So it worked out to be $33 each a month. So the same as our Continuity memberships. This time around I'll definitely ask her if she'd like to workout with me again. I do best if I have someone to help keep me accountable. But if she's not up to it. I'm willing to cut back on other things to make up for spending the $67 a mo on myself. -- that's the discounted price for the 6 mo auto renewal package.

I'm off to bed. Have a great day!

Great idea to get the live streaming as a birthday present! I'd love to get it, but it seems way too expensive!

I did day 21-30 today, and because I quite like it I will stick to it for some days... I do feel that some of the workouts feel more effective, and this one really made me feel the burn without being completely impossible to keep up with!

Yeah!!! Finally!!! I think you're the first person to join this team that owns Hipcentric Meta -- well other than me. Congratulations on getting your workout done! emoticon
emoticon Hope your furbaby's birthday is perfect. How wonderful that you live close enough to have the option of beach or mountains. Enjoy your day!

I slept in, and just woke up. I definitely needed it. I'm so happy today is my free day. My dog is waiting patiently for our walk. Heading down to the beach. Day 1 (of days 11-21)when I get back.

I completely understand why you get bored with 10 days at each level. If you want you could always just do 6. If you were to ever suscribe to Tracy's live streaming the muscle structure changes each week. My least favorite exercises were always the odd levels -- which have all exercises the same regardless of which body part Meta you own. Even levels it's only the leg exercises are different. emoticon And when I say levels I'm just referring to each workout. 3 Discs with 3 workouts each. = 1-9. emoticon
since this isn't my first, second, or even third time doing Meta emoticon I'm planning on only doing each level for 6 days. Monday - Saturday. I'll rest on Sunday and then move on. I have to become consistent with Tracy before my husband will be ok with me doing the live streaming classes again. If I am, he's going to make it my birthday present in November. So I'm motivated. emoticon

Have a great day!

I did meta hip centric D41-50 today. I'm mixing up the meta workouts, I can't stand some of them (D11-21 for example), and get too bored doing the same workout for 10 days!
It's my dog's birthday, so we're going to go for a nice long walk today. Haven't decided whether to go to the mountains or the beach!

Yesterday was Day 8 of Meta. Today was my rest day. Intentional movement for the day was 2 long walks with the dog. emoticon

"Be more committed to fixing than defending"

Went to bed extra early last night (7:30) and forgot to post that I got my Meta workout done. I opted for another walk over rebounding to give my body a little extra healing time.

My husband had to be up extra early today (3 a.m.--hence the early bedtime). So what I could do was get up with him and make us both a fat loss friendly breakfast. I wanted to get day 14 of the challenge done, but my email hadn't arrived and for some reason I can't get the video to load from the 30 day page. But what I could do was was do my Meta workout.

Meta Hips Days 5 & 6 emoticon

Now I'm off to walk the dog. I love getting out with him when it's still quiet and a lot of people aren't on the roads yet, because you can hear the roar of the ocean every time we cross a street or pass an alley. It's amazing.

Have a great day!

"Success is reserved for the committed"

Not sure who said that first, but it was in my inspiration box today. So true.

The challenge this week is to work on reframing my perspective, by using the mindset.... What I can do is ..,,

So I woke up today feeling rested and decided that what I could do was start my day with day 13 of the core challenge. As usual, I enjoyed the first 3 exercises and I have created modifications for the last two that challenge me without the risk of injury. Afterward, I decided I could do some intentional movement, so I took a 45 min walk with the dog. Now what I can do is hop off my computer and eat some fresh and delicious whole foods and have matcha green tea before I go to my doctor appointment. I'll be back later to report if I get my Meta workout done too.

Hope you have a great day! emoticon

Thanks for pointing out my negative self talk. I didn't even notice it. emoticon You're absolutely right about the power our words have to shape our reality and impact our health and destiny.

I didn't end up getting much sleep Sunday night, and yesterday I realized I had actually caught a stomach flu virus. So, I skipped everything and focused on sleep and staying hydrated. I'm still running a fever today, so I'm giving my body another day off from exercise and being kind to it by fueling it with organic bone broth and lots of fresh clean water.

Fingers crossed tomorrow, I'll be feeling strong and ready to get back to the fitness challenge.

Hope your knee/leg is feeling better and that you're still going strong. emoticon

Wow, if I didn't think better of you, I'd swear you were watching me exercise, that twisty knee thing was what I modified, last week I did it on the floor, not the sticky mat, which is so much better. I'll go back to doing that, that way.

Do you realize the impact you have on yourself when you use negative language to describe yourself or your habits? Maybe you need to ask less questions and be aware of what words you use to describe your actions? Just an observation.

When you use those words in conversation, someone might get the impression that you are bloated, gross, and full of crap; we know that's not true.

Regroup. I have the flat belly diet log book I found at a discount store last week. It's similar to the foods I already eat, has a place to log foods, workouts, and cardio. I couldn't have found a better match for recording my next 30 days than if Tracy made one herself. It has 3 months of pages, Perfect if you're getting started with Meta again, hint, hint.

There is a reason Germany puts Privacy at the top of the list for what is important in personal integrity, IT MATTERS! Keep your eyes on what matters, not someone else's personal space. I'll take you at your word from here on out. Thanx.

Today G6D8, Core Challenge Day 11 Butt, don't be one! and dance cardio. emoticon

Oh no. Take care of your leg. Hope today's twisty knee thing didn't cause extra stress.

Hipcentric Meta, challenge, rebounding and walked dog. But I ate total crap today. I forgot to pause and ask the questions... How do I want to feel in an hour. How will this make me feel. Given that answer is it worth it. Going to bed feeling bloated and gross. Hope I can sleep. Tomorrow I need yo regroup and make sure to pause.

WTG,Great job on day 9, hips, bounding! I haven't heard of those you mentioned, I've never done a cleanse, I have changed what I ate and prefer to add new recipes. My diet was better a few years ago when I ate mostly vegetarian & vegan. I will probably go back to that style of eating. I like an international variety, more assembly than cooking. There probably isn't a bean dish I don't like.

I did challenge arms late last night, nothing else. Might have over done it on the dance cardio, and just learning the steps!

Back to G6D7, challenge legs, haven't decided on cardio. emoticon

Hope you're having a great weekend so far.

I managed to get done early tonight so I'm off to bed for some much needed rest. I want to wake up at 4 and workout in the morning but that will still only be 7 hours. So I might just set my alarm for 5 and see if I wake up on my own early enough to workout.

Challenge Day 9, Meta Hips Day 3, and rebounding today. emoticon

Oh and forgot. You asked about doing a cleanse. In a way, yes. But never a cleanse out of a box. I've done several Whole30s and even a Whole90. Where you eat super clean to reset your body. And I've done a 10 day juicing reset where you drink green juice for two meals and eat one clean whole30 approved meal a day. And I've done 1 three day green juice only reset. What about you? Is there something you're thinking about trying?

emoticon Good morning. Typed up a quick post last night and forgot to actually hit post emoticon

I have the hipcentric Meta. But had often wondered if I should have purchased Abcentric so I bought her Ab workouts (PP1 & 2) to have extra ab work. That's why I love this 30 day challenge.

Day 2 of Meta, 30 min rebounding, and ab challenge day 8 all DONE uh finally emoticon Tomorrow (which is now today) I'll be up early and it'll be a long busy day. Hoping to get my workout done and check in again before 10 pm.

Have a great day!

Way to go, fitting it all in. Some of those moves take a while to get right. good on you for making the most of it. which Meta are you doing? I'm Omni, but Glute is really good. Might put them both together when I get to continuity. G6D6, Core Challenge abs, I did those slowly to get the moves better, and dance cardio.

Have you ever done a cleanse? It's kind of a springy thing to do. Good work on all your TAM.

Have a great day!

Good morning!!! I managed to get 6 hours of sleep last night and obviously 8-9 is the goal for optimum health but my body was so out of whack that the 6 I got feels like 12. I feel amazing today. Like the energizer bunny emoticon

Started my day with water and a 6:00 a.m. walk/sprint session with my dog. Got home more water before a cup of black coffee and a piece of phat fudge for my fat loss energy breakfast. Did the challenge exercises, 15 each except that reach back arabesque thing. I managed 3 on each hand then did 12 of a modified version using both hands. I also skipped that 5th exercise and did 15 each leg of a modified version. I just couldn't figure out why I couldn't get in the correct position to do even one, so afterwards I asked a friend of mine/neighbor for help. Turns out, I'm not totally awkward and confused. My arms are disproportionately short for my height and body length. Who knew emoticon I always knew that given my height (5 10") my size 7 1/2 feet were considered small. But never thought I had "small" arms. They don't look weird or anything. emoticon

I've also decided that I just don't have time to do PPD2. It's nearly an hour. So I've decided to start Meta over. 30 minutes of muscle structure and 30 minutes of cardio fits best into my life. Especially, while I'm adding in the core challenge and extra Mat arms 3 times a week. So Challenge Day 7 and Meta Day 1 are both done! And it's only 10 A.M. emoticon

Congratulations on your workouts! You keep me inspired!

I'm not worried about it, it's from running on uneven surfaces. I do take a multi, and try to get as much from quality foods as I can, maybe you can squeeze in a nap? Try to get those 8 hours of sleep. Do what you can. Great job on the walking, so good for you.

The sky os so clear & bright. We're building a fence for our dog, he will just love it.

Do what you can do, it's core day 7, 5 exercises x15, it is on the video page, plus G6D5 & dance cardio, for me. Good Luck!

So you suffer from shin splints and other issues??? Do you take a good Vitamin D supplement? Last year I was in major pain. Felt like I had been jabbed in the leg with a knife. That was on top of my other knee issues. Found out my tight hips were causing some of my leg/knee pain and I had IT Band syndrome. So I started using a foam roller for hips & ITband but didn't get 100 % better until I upped my Vit D levels. It's vital for so many body functions. Who knew?

Great job again today! emoticon I'm a walking zombie right now. Such a long day. I've been up since 2:30 a.m. And I have to get up at 3:30 tomorrow. I got in a 40 min walk this morning. Definitely had my heart racing, since it was still dark and I couldn't see the spider webs. emoticon emoticon I got in another evening walk only 20 minutes but it was beautiful out. I just finished up 20 minutes of rebounding. Can't wait to see what's on the schedule hor tomorrow. Good night! emoticon

That happened to me this year with Meta Glute, my lower leg problem kept me from dance cardio & I just did the structure days in order, even when I couldn't keep the schedule. Finally though, I got more consistent. Now I only take a day when I'm freakin' tired. Funny or not so, if I had started back with Meta last year when I was going too, I might have avoided all those doctor visits, the cane, & crutches.

No sense looking back, I'm on track now, and picking up steam! Great job on fitting it in. You can only do your best, be kind to you. I'm in single-tasking mode, and focusing on one thing at a time, harder than I thought. I just didn't realize how many things I do while I'm doing other stuff, it's crazy.

Yoga blocks, what a great idea. I started slowing down and really trying to get the set up right on both sides, it's still challenging. My biggest challenge is the cardio, no matter what I do, i still get shin splints, or some other weird tightness in another part of my leg. It's easier to do just a little bit more though. You should not beat yourself up, she makes these moves the way she does so you have to work at it. nobody starts out getting everything perfect. If they did she would give them some thing even harder to do! I've seen some of her bootcamp, it's a little scary, that is. emoticon

I'm going to do cardio today, and G6D4, might have to try the rebounder again too.

Don't feel bad if you need to skip a day, if you're super busy, that's good too, just do what you can do! emoticon

Hey!!! I don't know what happened!! emoticon I hate that!!! My thumb typing is slow so it's double frustrating when I lose a post. I'm so sorry. I thought I had checked in with you.

I haven't moved on to PD2 yet. I'm having a tough time fitting in my fitness this week and not getting it done until super late. Yesterday it was 8 pm and all I really wanted to do is go to bed so I only had enough energy to do the challenge exercises and rebound cardio.

Great job getting stronger on that balanced arm move!!!! It is just not happening for me. But I'm still giving it my best effort. I was working out yesterday thinking that it felt like I had done those moves before but couldn't remember if it was in the challenge or in PD1 or Meta.

Today's workout went pretty well. I had to modify two -- I think. (Side body balance isn't happening at all and I had to use yoga blocks for one. I'm starting to get my days and workouts mixed up. Not enough sleep.

Boy oh my gosh, Yesterday was rough for me. I'm mad my post disappeared because I don't remember the exercises- It was the one where you started one way and then twisted from your knee all of your body weight onto your side??? I have bad knees so I only managed 3 safely. The one arm stabilizing arabesque thing was really tough I had to go slow and give my wrists a break in between. I only did 10. Dang it! I feel like there was one more I had issues with and modified.

Oh well. I'm going to hit post on this now and go back and read your last message again. I feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah and did you say that the check in thing has a different number of reps than the description by the video? I haven't printed it out yet. I'm going to go look for it right now before I forget again. Tomorrow I have a long day. I leave for work at 6 and will be lucky to get home by 6. So it's going to be late -- after 9 pm PST before I'm able to workout. You must be back easy somewhere??? Because when I wake up at 5 you've usually already posted. Thank you for posting!!! I hope you know I probably would have allowed myself to skip a challenge day if it weren't for you.

What's happening Marki? Hope you're still on PD2 & core challenge. Todays butt challenge had that side tripod balance thingy again, still challenging but better today. Glute 6 day 3, core challenge and a longer walk. that's the most I've walked for a while. I didn't even realize it until I got home.

I'll be darned, those ab lines are really showing up. I shouldn't be surprised, her workouts have always been a great gift to me, so grateful for them! emoticon

Have an incredible day! emoticon

It's okay if you don't want to check in everyday, I'd join the FB group I knew how to use it, lol.
If you don't want to check in I'll just blog my progress, I really want to see this challenge through the 30 days. I've been inspired by some of her other recommendations & goop as well, It's like hanging out with an entire new group of friends, or friends I haven't seen for a while. emoticon
