Hi All
To keep me accountable today I have already log in all my food for the day. Since I wanted to eat a particular thing for supper so if I eat exactly what I logged I will be good for the day. It is easier for me to log in the morning at work since when I get home at night I often forget or get or caught up in the children's activities. I will see if this works for me today.

I've only had one green smoothie this week. My excuses are: I'm not seeing the health benefit I saw in the beginning. I became bored with the smoothie taste so I changed it up to savory. That was okay for a week, then the texture became too much. So I switched back my greens and added flaxseed and some other veggies I hadn't added and still didn't care for the texture.

I could start where I began, with fruit smoothies and then work the greens back in slowly. I have to convince myself that the other health benefits (less desire for sweets and other not as nutritious foods) are as important as any other benefit.

Pro: Today I rose to the challenge and picked up romaine lettuce, carrots, and orange juice for adding to what Is in the fridge for my green smoothie.

Soon we will be changing the calendar and thinking of all we did in 2012, reflection is growth when applied with hope. And looking ahead to 2013 and thinking of what we want in the new year with visions of goals with results. We select plans and jump in. Many fail and many are disappointed in themselves for failing. I have taken this month to seek out and am working on preparation to succeed. There is no failure in attempts, just failure if nothing is attempted. Attempts are actions lived and lessons learned. Keep attempting and keep going ahead with visions and goals. Yes they may change as you walk in your journey, but the changes are growth and the changes are in each of us to be the best we can be. Not the best someone else is in their life, but you in your own life.

The days I know I may be faced with choices that are not exactly healthy or healthy but still need moderation. I have to start the day fully green with a smoothie. If I do this I have a better chance of being successful in my goal of moderation.

I am happy to say I am and have been eating now 23 days clean. My goal was 80% and I have accomplished 90% and most days 100%. The days I struggle are the days I do not drink green.
Even if a small amount, it makes a big difference. It seems the energy it gives me, as well a clearer mind when it comes to choices. Perhaps the body being fueled correctly to start with is the trick...you think LOL

When I go on vacation, I drink the V8. I know it's not as good as the green smoothie, but it works.

Well, I do believe the greenness in my life is helping me.

I do add a lot of superfoods to mine and I feel the difference ABSOLUTELY!
I have to start moving alot more and hoping the doctor allows more today.

Drinking green and feeling better.
I have had health issues most of these last years since my 80+ pound weight gain. It damn near killed me. From time to time I will struggle. BUT! With these right tools I get through and bounce back faster each time I have a situation I am faced with.
I must say I bring on these situations with bad choices and pay the price dearly with breaking down my immunity. Building it back up is only maintained and bettered through good healthy practices. Wheat grass is my shocker charge and a green smoothie is my base of needed nutrition for my immunity so I can keep away sickness or heal as I am doing right now.
I hope everyone had a great week end. Looking ahead again(as always) to a better week working on health through greenness :-)

Well I ate and drank off plan, well sort of.
Food choices were good, but we all know restaurants add a lot of things we should not be eating. Many will not accommodate request. I did ask each time.
It was our holiday and we enjoyed.
I handed the scale to DH this morning and told him to hold it at work until Friday.
I am back on plan today and will work my trousers off all week.
Did I have fun, ya butcha!
3 things to do in the Keys, water sports, very little sight seeing, eating and drinking. I did much of this.
Am I sorry, not at all.

I pawned those smoothies off on DH emoticon what a guy!

Today mine will be two, as I have the need and want for a green day. Listening to my body speaking to me. I am preparing for a huge month that will start tomorrow. I am cranking it up. I refuse to drag my butt into the new year with regrets, that I didn't work harder and work through the holidays and instead of them owning me... I will own them!

This week end, we are traveling down to the Keys and I know I may have challenges and I am building myself up so I do not fail.
First, I have to make sure I have a base that will not tire. When I am tired I am weak.
Second, I will have a clean filled system or should I say empty system LOL
So I will absorb the value of my foods and drinks BEFORE.

There is so many events coming up and I know I better start now; building that foundation of health to tackle with a strong offense. Instead of whining trying to fight defensively because I turned over my life to a bad game plan.

I made smoothies yesterday for the next few days, junk ones lol. Just taking all odd ball ends, bits and pieces of trimmings. Things like strawberry tops, kale stems, zucchini ends, softer oranges, very ripe fruits, a few wilted but still good salad greens. Waste not want not :-) I find the very ripe fruits are so sweet and full of great flavors.

Sometimes I just need to focus on doing one thing and do it consistently. It might be nothing more than walking 15 minutes each day and not worry about the food. Or do just a perfect breakfast everyday and not worry about the rest. Feeling that accomplishment seems to help me get back in the groove.

You can do this. Don't worry about being on track when you come here. For me here is accountability whether I am doing anything or not. It seems to help when I come and share even if I am not doing anything positive except writing about it....

I haven't been around in a while. Haven't been feeling very focused. Last week was rough. Trying to find a work life balance and not doing very well. Work is cranking and in general I like what I do. The problem is that the more effort I put into my work the less effort I put into eating properly and exercising. Junk food and lethargy become outlets for me. Ways to blow of steam. Not healthy and needs to change. Bottom line is that I am a work in progress. My focus seems to have a limited scope and different parts of my life get more of it at any given time. I still need to work on balance.

Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections. -unknown

Well I ate popcorn yesterday and owned every kernel and enjoyed every bite. Today I am back on track and going to eat and drink on plan. No slip, not disgusted in myself or consider what I did something awful.
Didn't walk as much as I wanted to, but also enjoyed my day and loved spending it with my two loved one....life is good!

Today I am buying a bike and going to start biking again. Made the old one into a yard ornament, it was a classic old bike with a basket.

The X purchased a copy of "Let Me Be Frank" and is circulating it around the family. It's all about accountability and features nutritional smoothies as a part of the plan. It's encouraging to see someone else make big changes but I'd like to be the one. Maybe if I make a video about myself I could get it done.

Today was suppose to be a different day then what it has become...doesn't that happen just to often. When you get caught completely by surprise and are standing there going; what happened, where did I lose control of my life? Well I could have lost control, but didn't. I came here instead.
I have smoothies made and in the fridge, meals planned, schedule set up and now to apply what I have set up for success. I am and will make it through what life has dished out once again. I will not be defeated.
