When the weight loss is slow, remember, (as someone just said, that you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. Also... although we would LIKE to have instant gratification, the slower we lose, the more likely it will be to KEEP it off! And it will give you more time to reinforce the GOOD eating habits you are learning!!

Congrats on sticking with it ... it can be hard at times, but just remember that if you feel that you ate too much or were too lazy on a certain day ... you haven't failed.

That's great! Finding what works. SP has really helped me to do that! With tracking my food and nurtrients, I've found that when I eat "balanced", I'm not as hungry and don't have the cravings that I used to have (I used to have times that I felt that if I didn't eat I'd just DIE!!! And I mean... eat a LOT!!!) Thanks to SP, I find it so much easier to "say NO".

I joined sparkpeople in mid Jan. and have always had a rough time losing weight since I take thyroid replacement. This time I stuck it out with help from good people on this site,and have actually lost some. I'm going the low carb route,since I'm carb sensitive it seems, but I've added veggies and some fruit and excersise 3x a wk. for 1 hr. each time, and with the support of sparkpeople, I get through the rough spots when I feel discouraged,and that can make you or break you. Thanks to all for advice and suggestions,they really do help. good luck everyone!
