Mine would be my appetite. If I didn't have such an appetite for all the wrong foods and / or portions, I wouldn't be over weight now. I'd love to be one of those people that rarely got hungry and had to be reminded to eat.

I think any plan will work as long as you stick with it strictly. For me personally, I'm trying to do a combination of low carb/low fat/ lower calorie. Basically trying to keep everything as low as I can; but pushing heaviest on the lower calories.

I've fallen away from tracking daily, but when I did I tried to faithfully track everything I ate that day, whether I made it myself or ordered it in, or went out to eat.

When I first got out of my 40-hour-a-week-on-my-fanny job I lost steadily but then hit a plateau. I've just recently been told my thyroid is dead, so the gain I had after the holidays at least has a cause! I'm hoping once we get that regulated it will make the journey to healthy weight easier!

FIRST QUESTION:
Do you find yourself losing weight on a steady basis or do you tend to take weeks or months to get thru a 10 lb stretch?

For me, it seems to take me about 3 months to go from one 10 lb set to the next. I tend to yo-yo badly so it's sometimes a struggle to get into the next set of numbers (240's down to 230's, etc).
