HAHA! OK you asked for it!

School and procrastinating on projects for school, studying for exams at the last minute, not having enough clients, eye twitch, wonky wrist, seeds that get moldy, people that know what lane they need to be in to exit but still wait for the last minute to cut you off. Not stopping for pedestrians in lit crosswalks. Not enough water in the pressure cooker, Luke eating cat poop, people that don't care, zealots of any kind...

I think that's enough for now

I think I mostly drive myself insane by allowing other people's behavior and how they project their issues to bother me. There are A LOT of things that irritate me, and there really shouldn't be as many as there are.

Wow, Beth, you hit on some "more" of the things that drive me insane! Ha! I'll bet it drives a lot of folks insane, too.

1. People who ignore the people they are with to text people who are someplace else.
2. Weight loss doctors who tell people to eat gross things like bacon but avoid vegetables because they have too much sugar.
3. People who complain that they can't afford healthy food or even their rent, but can still pay their cable bill.
4. Joint pain.

Oh K8, you hit on a BIG one that I suspect most of the vegans here have experienced: "people who think that my being vegan somehow threatens them." We all probably could have had that on our list! Ha!

What's that all about, I wonder? Why is it so scary to them? And to make matters worse...why did "I" use to be one of those people???!!! Yeah, I really was! When one of my nieces became vegan (this was maybe 10 years ago), I went into my speech about how we need meat protein. I think I was mostly worried about her health...not once thinking that I should be worried about my OWN health, from eating all that meat!!! LOL!!! I should have been taking notes from her instead of giving her speeches! Ha!

I have the feeling this will be a VERY popular thread!
Slow drivers in the fast lane;
Anyone putting my life at risk on the roads - cell-talkers, texters, drunk/drugged drivers;
People who are just plain mean. When being polite would take as little effort as being rude, they choose rude.
And, of course, the people who think my being vegan somehow threatens them.

K8

Some people think the “plant-based whole foods diet” is extreme. Half a million a year will have their chests opened up and a vein taken from their leg and sewn onto their coronary artery. Some people would call that extreme.

People who feel they need to tell you all the intimate details of their lives (co-worker inference!)

I'm right there along with you, Carol, on folks who talk WAY too loud on their cell phones! I've actually had people frighten me before doing that. I've been in the grocery store, reading an ingredient label on a can of beans, when unknown to me someone comes around the corner isle quietly listening to someone on their cell phone, and then as they get 'right behind me" they suddenly shout out to the person on the phone like nobody's in the store but them...and I jump about 10 feet off the floor with my can of beans!!!!

love it Alan!!

What drives me insane?

~The fact that I can't make a decision. I might make it but rarely stick with it. I go back and forth so much it drives me crazy.

~people who drive under the speed limit in the passing lane

~when people talk on their cell phone when they are supposed to be doing other things like going through the check out line at a store, driving a car, riding a bicycle, etc.

~my husband's driving - he's really aggressive and he makes me nervous, maybe not insane but close

I'm sure there are more but those are just a few.

what drives me insane:

people who are on their cell phone and or texting while driving

people on their cell while in the elevator and talking about stuff I really would rather not here...like their herpes....ugh

people on their cell phone in a restaurant talking loudly like I really care what is going on in their life

Think there is a pattern here emoticon

I'm wondering what drives us insane, too! Ha!

For me it's both serious and funny stuff:

1. My dad--easily number one! Ha!
2. Car repairs! (Am I the only one who HATES garages? I would say this is a common insanity maker, here!)
3. Spending too much time alone (yeah--it's weird with me: I need a lot of alone time, but not too much or it drives me nuts!)
4. Narcissistic people--this may actually be number one on the list! (Folks who think the world revoles around them and feel free to put you down to make them feel better about themselves (Don't worry--you are all great and not like that! But I do have two people in my real time life who are like that.)
5. Missing the nail and hitting my thumb with a hammer! (You'll quickly see all my religion go out the window at that point! LOL!!!)
6. Feeling a lack of control in my life.
7. Turnips!!!!

(Gee, I had more things that make me insane than those that make me sane...what does that say about me??!!! LOL!!! emoticon emoticon
