I'm hoping there are some female runners who can help me with this little problem I'm having. I'm 46 years old and I'm starting to show some signs of perimenopause. I have read that one of the symptoms is bladder incontinence. Sometime when I run, I'm.....to put it delicately...tinkling. I make sure I pee right before I go on my run, and I have even resorted to wearing a maxi pad when I run because sometimes the leakage gets bad. It's so embarrassing! I'm up to running 3 miles now; I can't imagine what will happen when I start running longer distances! I'm not sure if this is something I need to see a doctor about, or if it's just a phase and once I reach menopause, things will get better. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
