I'm usually drink coffee in the morning, and then stick to water in the afternoon, and then I run when I get off work. There is about a 90-minute window between my last drink of water and my run.

Not to that extent. Maybe a visit to a doctor is a good idea. Coffee agravates this for me. Do you stick to water before runs or only half a cup of coffee?

I'm hoping there are some female runners who can help me with this little problem I'm having. I'm 46 years old and I'm starting to show some signs of perimenopause. I have read that one of the symptoms is bladder incontinence. Sometime when I run, I'm.....to put it delicately...tinkling. I make sure I pee right before I go on my run, and I have even resorted to wearing a maxi pad when I run because sometimes the leakage gets bad. It's so embarrassing! I'm up to running 3 miles now; I can't imagine what will happen when I start running longer distances! I'm not sure if this is something I need to see a doctor about, or if it's just a phase and once I reach menopause, things will get better. Has anyone else experienced this problem? emoticon
