Rotary Rides for Families-- supporting the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality

Location: Levitt Shell at Overton Park
About the Event
The 50- and 30-mile routes are fully supported. Enjoy an ice cold milkshake at the rest stop on your way out to the Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. Family Fun participants will stay on the grounds of Overton Park for a 1.5-mile run/walk/ride - the best choice for families with small children. After your ride, enjoy great food and cold beer.
50- and 30-mile cyclists will receive special, event-themed cycling socks, while Family Fun and Ghost Riders will receive an event t-shirt.
To participate, helmets and an ID are required.
Time: Check-In - 7:30-8:00 a.m.
Long Rides - 8:00 a.m.
1.5 mile Family Fun Walk/Run Ride - 11:00 a.m.
Distances: 55 miles Biking, 30 miles Biking,
1.5-mile Family Fun Walk/Run/Ride

All registrations include post-ride food and beer, plus:

This event is held by the Memphis community, including the Memphis Rotary Club, to raise money for the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, an organization that provides a home to families without one. My sister and I volunteered at this event in 2012 with our University of Memphis Rotaract Club. It feels great to be a part of an event that supports members of our community.
