It's a new semester for Students for Healthy Lifestyles! This registered student organization will be meeting every other Thursday for 30-60minutes at 3:30pm in the University Center Senate Chamber room (room 261). Our first meeting is January 31, 2013 at 3:30pm. We would love to bring in a lot of new members this semester.
The purpose of the club is to promote healthy lifestyle choices like eating well, exercising, and managing stress. It's all about what you want to make of it. In the past, we have hosted events including a free yoga lesson, a presentation on stress management techniques, and a healthy picnic.
We want to get more students caring about their health because the decisions we make today affect our long term health, and it's much easier to get into healthy habits when you have someone supporting you. (Note: this club is not about weight-loss just healthy lifestyle in general.)
