Joy - congratulations on listing your house! I hope it sells quickly.

Fesy - you are just BUSTING out with finished quilts! Wow! I wish I had been that productive this week.

I haven't been productive on (pretty much) any level this week. I'm still getting over my cold and it made my asthma start up again. I need to go pick up my inhaler refill today. {{sigh}}
No gym. No good eating. No quilting. And the one thing I worked on in crocheting... I ran out of yarn and I couldn't find more at Michael's. Maybe I'll go look at JoAnn's... they might have it. Better luck next week!

I went to a sit and sew at my favorite quilt shop tonight.
I finished one quilt - all finished, quilted, binding.....looks great
Then I moved on to 2 table runners (made with border patterned fabrics with a 60 degree ruler - quick, fun and easy.
I got 1 completely done and the second one almost done..... wahoo.

It feels so good to get the COMPLETED !!!

Time for bed - good night all.
I'm starting the June thread too.

Thanks, Fesy, for the congrats and the good wishes. We were transferred enough that selling a house and moving somewhere else is no a problem. I always did all of the arranging, selling and moving because he always went to the new job first, but what is going to be hard is moving there without him. I have 6 more months to get through all of the firsts. I am a tough old bird, I will make it just fine.

I think we all have trouble keeping the quilting correled and under control. And of course the dirt and dust doesn't take a vacation just because we are quilting! lol I am going to have to keep the mess under control while the house is for sale. At least to the place where I can hide it all if they want to show the house.

I am looking forward to my daughter and grand daughter coming tomorrow night and not going home until Saturday night. It is going to be fun putting in flowers together. Tomorrow I have to make a trip to Walmart and I have a trunk load of things for Goodwill. I should just about be done with that but I keep finding things I need to give away.

Joy - congrats on having the house listed. I hope it sells quickly and that you are soon in Idaho and all settled.

It is exciting and scarey at the same time to move - isn't it?

This AM I decided not to go to my exercise and yoga class - I'm going to do laundry and try to get my house picked up a little bit. It has gotten out of control again and that happens so fast.
If I just pick up my quilting stuff - it would help a lot. ha ha

Hope everyone has a great day - the last day of May !!!

Today the realtor put the sign up and the lock box on the door, so I guess the house is officially for sale. I found a recycle place that will take the organ free, I jsut have to find a couple of strong, willing backs and a pick up so we can haul it into town and turn it over.

Time just seems to be flying by. I hope to get the quilt back to the owner tomorrow. I need to get a few boxes packed. I am trying to do some every week. The stack in the garage is growing.

Fesy, you seems to be involved in so many things. You are busier than a one armed paper hanger.

Yep, the 1st of June is upon us. Summer is moving in. I hate to think how fast the summer will pass.

I have had to switch allergy meds because of the high blood pressure incident and what I am taking now sure doesn't work as well as the Benedryl did. So I am sniffing & blowing, and coughing, and sneezing. I have allergies all year round so this complicates things a lot. I am allergic to just about everyrthing known to man. I am hoping that when I get relocated in Idaho, they will be better. I can always hope because they were better when I lived in Idaho before.

Hi all,

Another nice sunny day here. I'm going to my lunch bunch today - that is always so much fun.

Joy - you sure finished that quilting quickly......bravo

Jessica - sorry the allergies are acting up. I never had allergies in my whole life, but last year I was allergic to something and had a runny nose for weeks........looks like it is back this year.
So I took some meds I found over the counter at Target and it seems to work.

When I get home this afternoon I'm going to put the new fabric corners on the Round Robin Quilt and try to get a couple of other things finished.

Can you believe it is the end of May already!!!!!????????

I'll start a new thread tomorrow (funny we call this a thread and we are all quilters....ha ha)

Fesy, don't you just love it when a plan comes together? You are doing well. Aren't you glad that you aren't working anymore?

We had a cool, cloudy day today so it was a good day to get one of the quilting projects done. Took it off of the longarm a bit ago and tomorrow I will tie the thread and clip them, trim the edges and then return it to it's owner.

I am tired tonight and I'll be more than ready for bed.

WAHOO !!!! my round robin quilting project problem has been resolved.
I went to the quilt shop and talked to the lady that gets the quilt after me - she will also add on a border.
We talked about my problem of "building fabric" that doesn't overwhelm the applique center of the quilt.
Then I turned around and on the shelf was the absolutely perfect fabric for my big triangle corners !!!! Wahoo!! it is perfect and everyone agrees.

This is such a giant relief for me.......
I'll be sure to take a photo after I get my blocks on - so you can see what I have been struggling with.

Beautiful day here, cool enough for a jacket when I went for my walk but the floers were encredable!

Worked a couple of hours preparing a quilt top for the quilt machine. It is made of hezagons and needed muslin added to the edges so iit is easier to put on the machine. Then after the walk, my realtor came and I signed the papers to list the house. She took photos and we chatted a bit. It should have a sign by the end of the week, maybe before.

Then I talked to my sister for a hour and 45 minutes. We talk every night even though we live about 2,000 apart, and it is always at least an hour but most of the time we go over an hour. I guess you can tell we are best friends. LOL

Tomorrow maybe I will actually get the quilt on the machine. It is only a twin so it won't take that long to quilt it onc I get it on the machine.

Hi all,
Happy Memorial Day to all......sounds like you are all having a fun time today.

I'm going to a movie and lunch with my lunch bunch to celebrate one birthday.

Manderbean - Had to laugh at the typewriter. My mom used to buy stuff like that,
in case she needed it. I just told myself "it makes her happy - so it doesn't matter"

Sound like that math class was a hard one.......I don't do well with math either.
Don't know what I would do with out my little calculator. I've forgotten how
to do some of the simple stuff I used to do in my head.......

Chat more later,

Looking forward to having the family over for a beginning of summer afternoon grilling fest, complete with burgers, watermelon, corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, and homemade icecream. Mmm. mmm, mmm! But the best part of all is being with family! This will not be a good day for dieting, and you know what?, I don't even care. I'm just going to enjoy the day...

Hi all

I am very busy with school work. I usually act alergin to the computer and all things book on Sunday. I am ready to be done with my Math. 4 more weeks. I learned this week that no mater how much I study the game of reulette, I will NEVER completely understand it or get to correctly predict winnable bets. Good thing I do not gamble. I spent today with my grandma. We went to the flea market were we got a T.V. we did not need and an old typriter. She pain 25 for the typewriter. Grrrrr. I try to keep her from such things. She said I might need it to write a letter. Ha Ha. I just bit my tongue as I thought type a letter. She was happy to get to spend the day with me and I even went out with her. Two double hambergers and two large drinks for $4 at Mc. D.'s

On a good note my sister is down 25 pounds. I had not had any caphine in a month, and I know several people who graduated. Life is good.

After church, I got the dirt moved around today so that there is the same amount in each bed. Then I swept and washed the sidewalk. It looks real nice and next weekend DD will come and we will put in the flowers and thearbor. Also, the guy came and got the 2 things he said he wanted and then I rearranged things in the living room and on the porch so there wasn't a big gaping hole where the stuff was. It's about ready for the real estate person to take photos and put up a sign. I am praying that it sells soon before the blinds need cleaning again! lol Sorry, I hate to clean blinds.

Tomorrow I have a quilt top to quilt for a customer/friend, so that should keep me out of trouble most of the day. Then I have one more top to do for another friend/customer and that will just about wrap up the quilting projects. I do need to make a quilt for my great grand daughter, but there is no deadline included with it. I do hope to get it done before her 1st birthday! lol

It sounds as though everyone is keeping busy.
My parents are visiting for the weekend. We're not doing much, just visiting, but it's nice.
My wrists have been hurting for the last two weeks. I've gone to my chiropractor twice and they're mostly better. Now I just have to wait for them to heal completely. Only time will help with that. I haven't been able to do any quilting or crocheting and I'm getting bored... but I will soon be back in action.

But things are wrapped and ready to go.
We are also celebrating the birth of ther 1st GREAT GRANDCHILD !!! Yikes - she is over a year younger

I am going over to look for a house to rent after I get an offer that I have excepted. Living expense there are really reasonable after Eastern WA. I should be able to find a split entry house with a family room in the basement where I can set up Kay. I am giving away a lot of stuff but not the quilting machine unless I absolutely cna't find a place for it. Rent is a lot cheaper there as is everything else. Gas is 40 to 50 cents a gallonc heaper than here.

I have a friend in Boise that I have had since the 1970's and she's a quilter also and can hardly wait for me to get there. I'm not sure whether it's me or the quilting machine that she is anxious to get to town. LOL When we lived in Spokane, she came and used my machine and once here also. She loves it and I will let her use it.

Things are really coming together. Yesterday a friend and I went and bought enough dirt to fill the back of her small pickup. And then we shoveled if off the truck into two new flower beds that I am creating. Needless to say I am tired today and didn't do anything big.

I do have two quilt tops to do for customers that want me to do them before I leave town. So I hope to get to them this next week. I would like to get them done and back to their owners. It will help me buy the flowers for the two new flower beds.

Hope everyone has great plans for Monday and has a great time.

Anchors - the quilt is amazing. If I sewed one of those circles, it would be a lumpy, bumpy mess. So, I really admire your work.

I'm building fabric today. I need a scrappy looking piece of multiple batiks for corners
on a wall hanging to be set on point. So I "building" 2 24" squares of many pieces of
batiks.....then I'll cut them in 1/2 and use the 4 pieces for corners (and won't have a bias
edge!!!)
It is taking forever - but I'm trying to do the " mile a minute" method of just grabbing a
piece and sewing it on and them kind of cutting of funky edges as I go, so that I
can sew on another short strip or piece.
I'll be sure to post a photo when done.

Fesy

Anchors - we have a fire here too. But it is east of me - near the mountains and desert. I sure hope they get it under control before it spreads.
After the big fires here is 2006 and 2009 - when we all had to evacuate, the fire fighters are much more aggressive in the fighting.
They have more money to spend and have several planes and helicopters that can scoop up water and drop it on the fires. They did not have all that avail. before.
Today they evacuated some people where the current fire is and some homes are gone - sheesh ......I hate wildfire season.

How is the 4" square quilt top coming?

I made some progress today in getting a border on 2 quilts and cut out some binding for another and need to work on my "Round Robin" quilt.......I have another person's quilt top and as it passes around to all of us - we add a border.
I think I am being overly driven on this one and should not have planned such an elaborate border. Oh, well.....it will be very nice when I get it done.

Hi all,
Just got home from a very brisk walk (75 minutes) with my Tues. walking group.
I was really gasping for air on some of those hills.....but I did it and I feel good.

So tonight I am going to get the binding cut for my latest quilt and hope to get that
sewn on tomorrow. I will do the whole thing by machine.....takes too long to hand stitch
down one side (on a big quilt.)

Today I went to a military funeral (the dad of one of my Prayers & Squares friends.)
It was at the big National Cemetery that overlooks the bay. It was beautiful with the view
of the harbor and the ships.
He was 95 and a WWII vet. Small group, but very very nice.
Sure is sad to hear the bugle play taps......

So I'm going to go watch a bit of TV and then try to go to bed early......

Jesslyn, I know about sore muscles and you are correct, walking/working through them rally does help. I am finally over all of the sore muscles from all of the work in the garage and the shed. I had to do my fasting blood work today abd that's about all I got done because I had to drive all the way to Olympia for the test, which only took a couple of minutes. I am anxious to see the results so I can see how much improvement I managed to make. It takes about an hour to get there and another hour back. Since mornings is a really productive time for me, I was rather lazy when I got home.

My oldest daughter is going to help me make the entrance to the sidwalk leading to the front of the house look more like and entrance sidewalk. We are going to add an arbor and a bunch of flowers, so we spent some time today e-mailing back and forth trying to pick the arbor. She is coming on Friday, 6/1, after work and spending Saturday with me. She is checking on E-bay and found a really nice one I liked for not too much. It would include the shipping, which is a good thing. Then we will plant a little garden between the sidewalk and the garage. The plan is to list the house this week.

I have a friend coming tomorrow to get started on a quilt made from a panel for her grandchild that will arrive later in the year. She is afraid to cut into it and wants so help from someone either brave or dumb enough to just do it!! LOL

I cleaned the quilting machine and room today so that I can get started on a quilting of a top for a customer. It is an all hand pieced queen sized Grandmother's garden quilt. She doesn't want to hand quilt it like she thought she would. She says she is so sick of it, she just wants it done. I think I know that feeling. lol

Hi all - it is going to be a nice sunny warm day here.....YEAH!!!!!

Anchors - the 4" square quilt looks amazing. Are you sewing the circles on the top of the 4" squares or are they pieced in the middle? (I am terrible with sewing curves.)

I finished hand stitching the binding on my batik "rail fence" quilt.
I'll take a photo and post it in a while. (I have it on my bed as a bed topper/runner now.)

I have binding to do on another quilt, but think I will do that all by machine - much faster.

Enjoy the day.........Joy don't work too hard on the house purging, Jessica - are your legs sore from all the hills you had to walk????

Sounds like it's a busy week for everyone.

My son & I got back today from our Cub Scout camping trip. It was set up in the California Coastal region. GORGEOUS. BUT it was set up on this ***HUGELY*** steep hill and our camp was at the highest point in the entire camp. The dining hall was set at the lowest point. Walk DOWN for breakfast, walk UP for archery. Walk DOWN for crafts. Walk further down to make ice cream (OLD fashioned way). Walk ALL the way UP for BB gun practice. We had a blast but my calves are sore and I AM TIRED. And I'm really looking forward to using a toilet where I don't have to kill spiders before sitting down.
Lots of good exercise and I logged it all into the Fitness Tracker here on SparkPeople.

Did great on my walk today........

This evening we are having a partial solar eclipse.
I put 5 sheets of old film negatives together and could see it just fine.

I had all the folks in my neighborhood coming to my driveway to look at the eclipse.
Very interesting for the little ones.

I am sorry that you had this very negative experience. I hope that you like this new group. You are right, some groups really don't want or need new members, too bad, their loss! You'd be a great addition to any group!

I am sure I am going to miss my little quilting group when I move. But my friend from when we lived there before, is a quilter, so I should be able to get into another group.

I am really tired tonight. I tackled the quilting room. I sorted through all of my thread and threw all of the old spools away. Moving thread is such a hassle that I decided I wasn't going to move any that is old. My trash man will think I've lost my mind, I've thrown away so much stuff. I also packed the computer in their and tore the desk apart and took it out to the stack for the next dump run. It was not an expensive desk to begin with, and the movers were really hard on it when we moved here and I had glued it back together and some of it was needing it again, so I decided to toss it. It was a bigger job than I anticipated, but I managed to get it knocked apart and hauled outside. Thank Heaven for a dolly and a wheel barrow.

Gotta run.

Anchors - I know what you mean about the cliques in some guilds.

I am lucky to have about 4 really good groups that I quilt with.
Last night I was with 4 friends sewing from 6 - midnight (the shop was closed, so
we met at a friends house.)

We have Eleanor Burns Quilt in a day here in my area and everyone says that there
are some very tight "cold" cliques there. I've never been and don't think I would
bother.

I hope you enjoy your new group.

I finished to lap size quilt tops last night for Prayers & Squares. I'll take some pix
later and post them on my picasa. I'll let you all know.

Well, I need to get busy with my day.......the morning is already gone......

Today, I'm going to a sit and sew with a new guild that I trying out. The one I've been attending, I just never could warm up to the ladies, or maybe it was that they couldn't warm up to me. But I've been going to meetings at the old one for 2 years, and I have yet to make any new friends. There are about 60 in the group and they have all these cliques that I just have not been able to penetrate. I'm a pretty friendly person and not really that shy, so if I can't get to know people, it must just be the nature of that guild. I think that they've all been together for so long that they just aren't willing to welcome outsiders. We'll see how this goes. Wish me luck!

It is hard to stay on track. Because of my B/P problem, I have no choice, and with all of the work I have been doing, I am managing to lose, right now it is 28lbs. I would like to lose another 10# between now and the middle of June. I hope I can do it, one day at a time.

Think I am about ready to list this house. Have a couple of little yard projects to complete. Maybe I can get it listed this next week. I sure hope so.

Right now I am really tired again and just waiting until it gets dark and then I am going to bed.

Tuesday I have a fasting blood test to see how I did cleaning up my chlorestol. I have my fingers crossed.

My hands and arms are sure a mess, cuts everywhere and bruises all over. That's what happens when I am in a hurry and run into things. lol I look like I have been in an accident.
I bruise so easily and with all of the carrying things and climbing ladders, I l;ook awful.

Oh darn........ this past week I knew I had fallen off the wagon of sensible eating and tracking. I went to WW this AM and posted a 1.5# gain !!!!!
I knew wasn't paying attention, doing what I should. Also taking care of my sore knee......
that did it.
I'm back to tracking and paying attention...........

Sounds like everyone is keeping busy.

DS1 and I are going to a Mom & Scout Cub Scout camping trip this weekend. It should be... interesting. We're car pooling with a couple other moms, which should be fun. If the boys get restless I can just turn on a video. I love my van with the built-in movie player. :-)

Fesy the fires are all in northern AZ. I think the closest one is about 100 miles away, but we can see the smoke plumes rising from the mountains in the distance. My parents have a place up north. One of the fires is about 30 miles south of them. Hopefully, they will get it under control before it gets much closer to their property. My parents are still in Phoenix because of my Dad's cancer chemo treatments. I'm not sure if they will get to go up there this year or not because of that.

Anchors - just heard there are some big fires in AZ.
I hope they are no where near you and that the ash and smoke doesn't blow in your direction.
Sending prayers.....

I'll chat more later.

Jesslyn, thanks for the positive words, encouragement gratefully excepted. I stepped on the scale this morning and I have now lost a total of 28 lbs. Wahoo!!!! Flyin' high!!

Also, the painter is done and it looks fabulous! The realtor was here today and it's a go. I am not under water as far as the mortgage goes. Like everyone else, I will not be making a profit, but I will be out of it with maybe enough to buy dinner after the closing costs and the :wonderful" excise tax that the State of WA charges the home owner. It is what it is!

But she said it was a wonderful property and all she thinks I need to do is have one tree cut down. We had so many one isn't going to make a differnace. So......today has been a great day!

Hi gang,
Just dropping by to say HI. I'm off to Lunch Bunch with my friends and this afternoon - I really need to get working on my "round robin" quilt. My turn to put a border on this little quilt that we
are passing around my small group.

I went walking last night - my brisk walking group and my knee did pretty well. It is not any worse this morning.......but I'm still staying away from any stairs (ha ha)

Enjoy the day......

Fesy, I am glad that my cleaning, etc has inspired you. LOL It is endless. I have decided I don't ever want to own a house and 2 1/2 acres of land. I think I will lease a place when I get to Boise.

I think the yard is finished...finally!! My yard guy came today and planted the rest of the flowers and cleaned the flower bed in the front. He also carried the things that were too big for me to carry to the junk stack. He washed the shelves in the back of the shed, clean the 1/2 bath in the shed, and policed the area so it looks really nice. Pastor Jack came and hauled off another truck load of stuff. Yea for volunteers!!

The painter didn't get done today, maybe tomorrow. Don't know if the realtor will want to re-scedule or not. I called and left a message. I packed 6 boxes from my quilting room today. And I think I have found a family with 3 daughters to give the organ to. Our girls so enjoyed it when they were growing up. It will be really cool if they want it. Then someone will be enjoying it and I won't have to mvoe it. I am in the mood to give anything away that I don't want to move. Everything is on the possibility list except the bed and the quilting machine! lol

Our Crisis Pregnancy Center is have a large garage sale so I am donating shelves and chests to them. Someone will be happy to buy them and it will help the center.

I hope I sleep better tonight than I did last night. I think I must be fretting about the realtor visit and whether or not I can seel this place. I will be glad when this is ALL over!!

Hi all - it is a beautiful sunny day here.

I went to Yoga class this AM and my knees are better. I haven't tried stairs yet (thank goodness I don't have any in my house.)
My yoga teacher told me to really " baby" my knees for a while - until they are better.

Joy - you inspired me to get off my duff and get some cleaning done.
After buying gas at Costco (the best price in town) I went thru their car-wash.
Then came home and really cleaned the inside and outside of the car.
Put all my cloth shopping bags into a single bag and got the whole interior organized.
Even vacuumed the inside and all the carpets. Hope I can keep it clean for a while.

Then I mowed the grass (front and back) trimmed several things, sprayed Round--UP on all my weeds ......... and now I'm sitting and relaxing for a bit.
Need to get some lunch going.........

Tonight is my quilt guild meeting- I have a few things to "share" and will even taken some of my sewing stuff to donate.....to get it out of my house. ha ha

Hope everyone is having a good day - I'll chat more later.

Hurray for cleaning out the garage! My DH would love to do that, but we need to get rid of a couple pieces of furniture first. We've got a "bulk" garbage pick up scheduled for Friday, so it won't be too long now. :-D

Fesy, your poor knees. I wonder what you did to them? I hope you heal soon.

Bravo Joy - you are sure getting a lot done.
I'm glad I don't have to move.........
What a blessing that the pastor has a truck and can do the "dump runs" for you.

I think I injured my knees - they really hurt and I can hardly walk up a single step.
I "iced" them tonight and hope that tomorrow will be better.
I can't think of anything that could have caused this horrible pain...... if it doesn't clear
up, I may have to make a Dr. appt.
Thank goodness for insurance......

I'm off to bed now - goodnight all.................

Happy Mother's Day, ladies!! I received 2 bouquets of flowers and they are beautiful!!

I enjoyed church this morning. Then I went to my favorite nursery and spent money on flowers and plants for the yard. Tomorrow morning I will be digging in the dirt and planting them.

Yesterday I cleaned out the garage, and it took all day because I needed to go through some boxes that looked like they were ready to draw Social Security. Anyway I was brutal and really tossed out a lot of stuff we had been carrying around forever. I ended up with a lot less stuff in the garage, all neatly arranged and a giant stack of stuff for the dump. My pastor brought up his truck tonight and loaded it all up and took it home and tomorrow he will take it to the dump. He said to just let him know when I am ready for another pick up and he would come get it. I will reimburse him for the fees and the gas. It is such a blessing to have someone willing to help me like that.

Tomorrow after I plant the plants and flowers, I need to attack the shed and clean it put, sot, toss and decide what to do with the rest. I expect it will be another long day.

Hi all,
I spent the day and the Huntington Museum/Library and gardens.
It was a bus trip with my walking group. (near Pasadena CA.)

It was a nice place to visit (once) and it was sure warm.
The bus was super uncomfortable and everyone was complaining about it.

So, I 'm glad to be home and I know I'll be hitting the sack early tonight.

I'm thrilled.
That is 3 weeks in a row that I have had a weight loss - amazing for me.

I kind of felt food deprived all week- so this next week I'm going to try to eat
better, but still in control. It will take more planning.

WOW you are all doing fantastic with your exercises.
I need to step mine up a little bit.
I've gotten used to what I have been doing and it should be more intense.

I spent 8 hours at the local quilt shop today.
5 hours trying to longarm quilt a small 50x65 lap quilt - SHEESH I sure ran into
problems.
The machine did not like the thread I had and I ended up with a HUGE birds' nest of
thread . The owner of the shop had to cut it out with a razor....then I had to remove
a 2' x 2' area of quilting and start over with a different (thinner) thread.
But it is finally done and now just needs binding.
I then stayed for the sit and sew from 6 to 9 and I'm exhausted !!!!
my upper back is really sore from sewing for so long and all the stress.

So I'm home and will try to go to bed early - I'm beat.

I'll chat more later and let you all know how I do at Weight Watchers tomorrow AM.

I have been doing really good. I have not had soda in over a weak. Water, water, water. I am eating good and I have already shaved a minute off my 1.5 mile. I am going to school for my degree in divinity with an understudy in mathematics. I have been swimming at least two hours a day for the last three days. Pools are so awesome.

Good luck with the Kindle, Fesy! I hope you continue to improve in health.

I just got back from the gym. My shoulder is hurting a bit so I skipped the upper body strength machines and did the lower... and then did the stationary bike for an hour instead of 30 min on that and 30 on the elliptical. Water is good and I'm about to eat a healthy brunch.

Poor Fesy, Maybe you can take a Benydrl as well as your decongestant (or a different kind of decongestant) when you go to bed. Mine are typically allergies as well, but then I sometimes get a head cold on top of it.

Today is a gym day and I'm ready to go. Now I just have to drop my kids off at school and it's ME TIME!

Fesy, sorry you picked up a cold, or could it be allergies? With me it is always allergies! Tonight I am sooooo tired. The painter didn't get the painting finished in my bedroom, so tonight I sleep in the guest room, on the hide-a-bed. Guess I will see how comfortable that bed is. lol

I cleaned out the office today, shredded another big stack of documents, threw away a lot of crap and packed one box. the rest of the office stuff will have to be packed after I sell the house. I also started sorting, pitching and setting asside to give away the fabric. I also packed up a couple of plastic tubs of sorted stuff that I am going to keep. Tomorrow I will continue the process in the quilting room. I need to give away anything that isn't quilting fabric as I know I am probably not going to sew any more clothes for me or anyone else. Someone at Goodwill will be happy.

I rarely get colds and this one kept me up most of the night.
I took something to dry everything up and it didn't seem to do much good.

Hi all,
The weekend is over.
I enjoyed the street fair - but it was really really crowded. There were thousands of
people there.
We walked a lot - but not very fast - it was too crowded.
I did well with not eating the junk.
I only bought a straw hat that will roll up/fold up to pack in a suitcase.
and I got a small coin/id purse that clips on a belt loop.
I need that for when I usher and can't carry a purse - it will fit nicely under
my jacket (car keys, cell phone, some change.)

But - some how I now have a cold . I hate head colds - my nose is dripping
and the decongestant I took did not seem to do any good at all.
Hope I'll be able to sleep tonight.

I'll chat more later.......

Fesy, your life is so interesting! The street fair sounds great! I'm glad you are having so much fun.

I took a day of rest today. I went to church in the morning. Then this afternoon I went for an hour long walk. It was harder than it was a couple of years ago when I did that regularly but I am going to keep doing it until it gets easier again. Tonight one of my quilting friends had guests that she invited me to cvome join for a time of visiting and tea/coffee to get acquainted. This guy works at the Navagators Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. He is the Air Force coordinator/Manager for the Navigator services to Air Force personnel in the U.S. and in Europe and Japan. He started out working at the Air Force Academy about 15 years ago. It was really interesting, a lovely family.

Tomorrow starts the painting, the exterior of the windows, the yard, the gazebo, the lawn furniture and the porch cleanup. Hopefully, by week's end, I will be ready to have a couple of realtors pay me a visit and chat about selling this place. One step at a time and I am finally getting there.

I have the office and the quilting rooms to dig, sort, toss, give away and pack up. Does anyone know anyone that has used Pak Rat for moving? I think I will check them out and try to compare them with using U-haul. I think they will probably fall somewhere between U-Haull and a National Moving Company. I am looking for the best deal that's the easiest. Maybe I have un-realistic expectations! LOL

Everyone is keeping busy!
I did a bunch of cleaning up of my crafty areas yesterday... they have been so swamped that I couldn't actually do anything for a few weeks. Now I just have to figure on what project I want to work.

Food has been OK, water has been great, exercise has been semi-OK, but not great. I've been going to the gym 2x per week (great) but not much else.

Have a productive day!

Oh my gosh - Joy ..... you are sure busy.
Makes me tired to just think about it.
But sounds like you have "all your ducks in a row" and know what needs to be done and when. So Bravo!!!

I worked on my 4 table runners..... I have them all layered and after I turn them "right side out", I just need to do a little bit of machine stitching/quilting to hold them together.
I want to give them to special friends and will let them pick which ones they want.
They will have a choice between Raspberries or Lemons. ha ha

Well, I'm off to bed.............I'm really pooped.

Tomorrow I'm going to a big street fair with some friends. It is advertised as one of the largest on the west coast - in Carlsbad, CA.
I hope I don't spend too much money. ( maybe I should only take what I'm willing to spend.)
Chat more later.

I am so busy I haven't logged on in a few days. I jsut keep on with this process. I have a lot of people coming to help me this next week. One to finish the windows on the outside, last year's yard guy to help me with cleaning up the porch, the gazebo, all the lawn furniture and do the grass while I clean out in the office. the painter will be here this next week also. So, in another week I should be able to have to realtor come and talk so I can make a decision about what I can afford to do. I am making progress. I worked a couple of days in the kitchen last week and supervised the gals washing the blinds and putting them back up.

We had nice sunshine today some of the time. This next week is supposed to be nice so I should get everything that is on the list done. Tomorrow I need to spend some time cutting up all the boxes that have accumulated in the garage that are too small for much of anytjhing as I want to put them in the trash fror Tuesday.

I sewed some baby swaddling blankets for my sister who is babysitting her newest great grand child. He is really little and needs lots of care and she had long since given away all of the baby things. I got the box packed up this afternoon and ready to mail Monday with all of the blankets, onesy set and booties. It will help her take care of this little angel. She never thought she would be babysitting again at this stage of her life, but it's a job worth doing.

I am still taking off the pounds and have finally gotten down into the next lower size. I have lost about 23 lbs now and plan to continue for another 23 or so pounds. We can do this!!

Mowed - front & back, fertilized, watered, cleared up some other messes and I think the
yard looks very nice.
Next is on to sewing. I have 3 nice table runners to finish and I want to get those done today.

Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend.

I went to WW this AM and I'm glad to say that I am down 1 more lb!!!!!
wahoo - that is 5 lbs in the past 2 weeks.

So much has gone on since my last post. Joy, You and Fess. inspire me to keep busy. I feel tired just reading some of your post. Going from 1100 to 700 sqft. house is not what most would do but alas it is done. The packers over packed all my things thus filling my new house to the roof. I am not usually a napper but yesterday after working most the day in the heat to get unpacked, I took a three hour nap. I did not even feel tired. Wow, I just looked at everyone's quilts. and The video of the new quilt room. Sherri, You have a beautiful narrator voice. I am impressed. I have yet to capture mine. I should. I made four blankets and two quilts for christmas. I am starting back to school next week. My list of things to do just keeps growing. I do love to keep busy. Now to get excursive back into my daily schedule. I am up to 170. Yikes.

Amanda

Sunday is my 23rd anniversary. We are going to get away for the weekend. It's been so long since we have done something like this, I think we've almost forgotten how to have fun and take a respite trip in this way. DH is very tired from working horrendous hours at work, but I know he will want to go, go, go, while we are away. That's just his style. Hopefully, he will find it in himself to just relax.

Happy Wednesday.
I'm glad we have moved on to a new day.....
I had really bad luck with the pepto quilt yesterday at Prayers & Squares, Need to
layer it again and try another method. My machine was acting up and after about
an hour I was ready to turn in my good humor badge.

Then I came home and my eating was really out of control..... grrrr
But I did enjoy a nice brisk walk last evening with friends and today is a new day.

I already have 2 more quilts planned in my head - ha ha
Wonder if they will ever make it to the machine????
===============================
4:30PM - just finished the binding on the pepto bismol quilt and I'll take it to Prayers & Squares next Tuesday to put the ties in. WHEW - it always feels good to finish something doesn't it?????

Well... someone may not think of Pepto when they see it. Just hope they like pink!

Another gray overcast drizzly day down here. I'm tired of all the rain.......need sunshine!!!!
I'm off to Prayers & Squares and hope to get a binding sewn on a charity quilt.
I've decided that this quilt looks like Pepto-Bismol!!!! yuck.

Yes! I remembered to change to switch thread for the new month. Maybe I'll control myself better this month.
