I did week 3 day 1 of the running program I am using. I am still only running 30 seconds and walking for 45, but I am getting faster. After I finish the 7 weeks I am going to try to increase my running/walking intervals. I would like to get to where I can run a mile without stopping.

I didn't want to run today. I haven't done anything since last Thursday. I almost talked myself out of it. I did it anyway. I feel better now and wonder why I always have this struggle to get motivated. I'll see if it lasts past today. Happy Wednesday everyone.

HNCOTTON I get in those ruts sometime myself. We are here to help whatever way we can. When i start getting into that cycle i usually just spend hours on this site reading blogs, and articles to get me lifted back up and motivated into action again. I have learned that this journey is very forgiving and like the prodigal son, waits patiently for your return. Hang in there

I'm still having a horrible time trying to get back into training. I went walking once last week. And that's it. That's pathetic. My motivation is awful.

Just got a new bike and been putting in some miles there. Do have a 5k race coming up in August, going to be a hot one. Look forward to hearing from all of you this month.

Come and chat with us this month. Let us know how training is going, about upcoming races or anything else you want to share with us.

I am in week 3 of my easy 5K training. I am still only run/walk intervals of 30 sec./45 sec., but I am getting faster. I think I will continue this training session at this interval and then increase for the next one.
