I did a long run yesterday wearing my arch band and after my run the left side of my left foot hurt very badly, it was hard to walk and it had point tenderness- I thought maybe I had a stress fracture, but as the night went on it became hard (or tough), red, and warm to the touch and that is when I remembered I had ran in my arch support and it had probably rubbed and caused friction. Has anyone had a "rash" like this? How did you take care of it? I have iced it, elevated it and soaked it in corn starch and water.
DISCLAIMER: I would love feedback about my foot, but please do not use this thread to discourage me from running my planned races or to tell me I train too much. I will not be running until my foot is better. This thread will be closed if I get comments about my training in general, this has happened continually and has caused me great stress so please be respectful.
