We do a lot of mushroom foraging in the fall and I've come up with a theory on why some people (not me) love to shop so much. It's basically foraging except it's not for food and it's a lot easier since it's all laid out for you. Basically, we're just following our instincts and they've been a little misdirected toward the mall instead of the woods. People with a real problem with shopping should probably start geocaching instead.
I love the way you put it - I was trying to tell some friends what it was that made me like it so much - I think your wording --- "Definitely actuates our primal thrill of the hunt gene: nails it.. I am going to use this in one of my blogs - with your permission...!!!
Geocaching is so much fun! Definitely actuates our primal thrill of the hunt gene. I wish I could do it more. We've found our local caches and have kind of let it lapse, but I'm sure there are more out there. We seem to trip over them when we're out and about and not even looking.
Don't be a muggle, Ronna. You have a geocache right near your butt, I'm sure. ;)
caches are hidden treasures that people "hide" anywhere - everywhere. In Geocaching - the goal is to go find them - sign a log book - -- it is the thrill of the hunt. It is a world wide global hobby http://www.geocaching.com/
Today I went to the skating arena to join in a gathering of staff and campers for a mid winter reunion. I watched from the side boards - I can't skate - but it was a good time held by all. The owner wants to meet with me some time this week over lunch - a little anxious about that.
We know kitchens are a stress bowl - so many different personalities - pressures of time - guests / customers who just drive us nuts - not to mention the management team - ( sorry owners and managers). Who or what ticked you off the most today? Who or what happened to make your day?
