Friday . . .whewwww! I taught 8:15 am after being gone 3 weeks. I asked the class to be patient . . . I was shaking as if it was my first class that happened in 1974. I make jokes out of STUFF . . . so when my mind went blank I made a joke & we all survived.
The noon class was fine except when I saw the sympathy card set on the chair. I was walking around the pool as they were breathing with eyes closed. My voice broke & I had to focus so as to continue. Just like Don Quxiote's relationship with the bar maid. I can take harsh but offer me kindness & acceptance I melt to my knees.
I reached out to a friend whose husband died in August of a heart attack. We decided to go to our Overture Center for a UW Madison Swing Band, singer, dancers tonight. At 7:00 am there were LOTS of available seats. We decided to purchase our tickets when we got to the auditorium. I called them about 3:00 to make sure they were going to be open. Well, ALL tickets were purchased. Seriously! My friend & I will go to the craft sale after I teach Saturday.
Breathe in . . . breathe out. I rehung 3 pics today. My rooms are all in upheaval. Hopefully I'll get the rooms back in shape by Sunday.
I'm attempting to make a decision if I could create a small Thanksgiving dinner & invite people that don't have family in the area. It's a late start so I'm not sure how to proceed. I'll reflect on it tonight.
Enjoy your weekends. There's light snow on the ground here. It melted on the sidewalks & driveways . . . I'm grateful! Hugs to surround us. Connie, in WI

I'm not a ball of fire today, but I'm so happy it's Friday! I've had plans after work every single night this week and even the fun stuff has a price.
Tonight I'm getting a long overdue haircut - I have a long mop of hair that is mostly one length (mid-back) and it's time to cut some layers back into it, debulk it, and actually wear it styled. I went to one length during school because I was home and walking the dogs and acting like a non-professional and yanking it back in a ponytail. I'm very happy to be making a change with my hair... LOL
Yesterday I called my student loan servicing company and found out that they can do a LOT to lower my payments by basing it on income. I'm going to fill out the application tomorrow and get it submitted. I am killing myself with client work to close the gap between a relatively low-paying job and living expenses, and I desperately need more time to myself. I am hopeful that some free time is coming...
The office manager in the dentist client's office is writing checks for me now so I don't have to go there every week, and I am doing more remotely from home - that helps my sanity too. I feel like it's all starting to move in the right direction now, and hopefully that means my weight will follow!

-1 degree this morning. THAT really woke me up when I stepped outside. Not a lot planned for the weekend except the usual groceries/laundry/cleaning and I desperately need a nap. I have got to get my bedtime under control.
WOE: Atkins/real food. No processed bars/shakes/etc.

Not much planned for today. I tutor two Korean women in English this morning, then will do a bit of quick shopping for the Thanksgiving baskets the church is putting together, and finally doing a demo/tasting at the food pantry. The recipe they selected is for candied cranberries and sweet potatoes.
