Today was so crazy I half expected to see my hair standing on end when I got home. Instead it looked as schlumpy as I did. I actually crawled into pj's and laid down for a half hour before dinner - not something I usually do. I'm finally feeling human again at 7:30-ish. I am WAY too old to be working at this pace for this many days.

Gail - I feel for you about your puppy. I would be afraid to let my dog out, also. When I first got her, she only weighed 3 pounds, and I was afraid a hawk might pick her up out in the yard.

Have been crazy busy last week. Things are getting a little saner. Am trying to organize a quilting retreat for my fellow friends and quilters. Fall is here, kids are back in school and we are getting anxious to start our projects. We always have a great time when we can get away to a lodge with our sewing machines and fabric.

my poor pup (3 yrs old, not a pup anymore) woke me up a 3:30am. she really wanted to go outside. i didn't want to let her out loose, cuz, i was thinking she heard or smelled a bear or other wild animals (there's cougars around right now too. way scarier than a bear to me). so, i put her on a rope and let her out. she just stood there. after a few minutes i let her back in. went back to bed. she started bugging me again. i got up again, put on housecoat and ugg boots and took her for a little walk. she seemed happier, wasn't pulling to any particular place. we walked for a bit, staying within the lights of the house area (it's dark and there's lots of trees in our yard). after another little bit we went back in.

then my dh took her and one of the other dogs out. this whole thing was repeated a couple more times. by now the sky was lightening a little. i got dressed and we went back out. finally, she squatted. man, she had diarrhea! just exploded. poor darlin'. i don't know how she held it for more than 2 hours before she went. i am very grateful she didn't go in the house. now i know, when she behaves like that what the problem is.

i guess she wouldn't go because she's not used to going while on the leash. i couldn't figure out what she was trying to tell us. i was expecting anything--wild animals, injured horses in the pasture, an employee laying in parking lot--you know all the stories you read about animals sensing something wrong and trying to get help. she was just frantic.

cut into my sleep alot! but, once the problem was resolved she curled back up in her bed, i read myself to sleep and then we woke to a gorgeous sunny day. this made me sleep in late, but, at least i was rested and ready for the day when i woke up.

Gail

I am dragging today! Monday and Tuesday were very long days, but I have tonight to myself - no client work. My brain is mushy but I am plodding through pretty routine stuff on my desk. No real brain power required.

Faith, I wish I could share temps! It's cool outside but my office is hot and stuffy even with both windows open and the fan on.

It's good to be home! Had a great visit with all the cousins, and going to the church our great-great-great grandparents donated a corner of their land for was good. Then we all went to the cemetery. Met another Ward there and decided that we must be related somewhere back before my great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents! Will do more research and see if we connect somewhere before Great Grandpappy Adam and Great Granny Eve!

Then had a good visit with a friend from college, and visited two Gene Stratton Porter historic sites. Have you read her books? If not, you should!

Hi all. It is good to hear you doing well Debb! Keep up the good.forward progress!

It was really cold here last night. It was 50 when I got in the car this morning to come to work. B ut it could get up to 100 today here in the area where I work. Makes it hard to dress for two different extremes. Layering is the answer. My office is really cold too. This winter when it is really cold outside it will be hot in my office. Go figure! Have a great day all.

Never been to Universal in Florida -- only the one in So Calif, many years ago, and it was a blast! Have fun!

Quite chilly and breezy here today -- have had tuna and mayo so far, steak tonight, and no doubt, some shirataki noodles at some point, probably mid afternoon.

Not much ebay to do today, but done and off to the post shortly.

Food on track, and getting out with the dogs a few times a day as well.

Hope you're all having a fun Wednesday!

Off to playgroup in a few minutes. I bought a big slide and climbing structure for James, so I need my husband to put that together. He sure loves to climb.
We think we might head down to universal studios for a week in November. Andrew gets a week off school and wanted to go. I hate rides, so it will be a week of chasing James all over the parks.
