It does sound gross but if you mix or whip it up really good even with a fork in a tall cup or mug, it really tastes like having it with heavy whipping cream. Maybe a teanie bit saltier. Debating on getting unsalted butter for it. But I am using less cream and calories this way. It tastes better than coffee with only 2 T of cream. Some people put some cream in it as well.

Ok, I am doing it. About 2 T. per cup and about 2 cups a day. Yesterday I had bulletproof coffee, 4 really thin slices of bacon and 2 sausage links for breakfast. I am getting my fat % up as best I can. Breakfast is an easy time for me to bump it up.

Here it is:

"A whole stick of butter has 810 calories and 0.5 carbs. The equivalent would be one cup of HWC which has 821 calories and 7 carbs. That is a big difference, and it is a lot easier IMO for one to drink excessive cream than eat excessive butter.
I have fatty coffee every morning, either with just butter or butter and cream. It is actually an efficient breakfast and I stay full for ages.
I dont have a blender so I just plop some room temperature butter into the coffee and stir it with a spoon. Not that much trouble, and it saves some carbs."

I am told that for the amount of butter you put in your coffee versus cream that butter is less calories and carbs added up over the day or something like that. I can't find my post from another forum that explained it.

Well, I HAD to Google it and he called Starbucks "cheap" and rigid purists pi$$ me off because I can't do everything perfectly so I've already failed in their eyes and that means there's no way I'm trying it. And honestly, I think that big a hit of fat early in the morning in my beloved coffee would mean a lot of time in the bathroom later. I'm sticking with my cheap coffee and toxic cream!! Take that, Bulletproof Dude.

Probably because you can't buy Kerrygold cream stateside, but you CAN buy the butter. It's from grassfed A2 milk. Anyway, that's the recipe from Bulletproof Executive. I personally don't listen to any guru that uses the phrase "life hack". That's just stoopid.

So I tried it today with butter. I did use immersion blender in a very tall coffee travel mug and had coffee splattered everywhere. What was left in the cup was basically exactly the same as coffee with heavy whipping cream. So why go to all that trouble when butter is just HWC that has been churned, right? I sort of don't get it????
