Gail, I'm laughing in sympathy! I feel the same way about casinos - just don't find them entertaining. Stinky, loud, confusing, etc. But once in a while... last time I was in one I was there to see the Chippendales dancers - it was worth it! But for cheaper parking to see the Eagles? Yup, worth it too! LOL

we went to see the eagles in concert last night. it was an excellent concert! and long...over 3 hours with 2 encores.

when we go down, we get valet parking at the casino across the street (close and cheapest parking around). so, you have to spend some money there. we had a quick dinner there before the concert then stopped in briefly after. i've got to stay away from those dang casinos. they make me so mad. i sat at a slot machine and thought the max bet was $1.25. turned out it was $11.25. wow, i lost $11.25 in one pull. CRAZY. the machine was a 2 cent machine. i don't know how they can get away with making those machines so confusing! i think casinos are a blight on earth. but, i get sucked in now and again cuz my dh loves playing poker (he's good at it too). i have no interest in cards, so, i'll play penny slots (which cost way more than a penny) a bit. but, i almost always leave pissed off. yeah, i know. quit playing. but, i haven't played any since last november in vegas. anyway, good lesson. next time i have an urge to lose $20 i'll pull out a lighter.

still eagles were awesome!! emoticon

Wow, Junebug, that's a lot of change and stress to manage on any given day! I don't know about you but that kind of stress always takes my attention away from taking care of myself...

I've walked the boys in foggy weather and in the process of driving the mile and a half to our trails, dodged a huge mass of bicyclists doing a long ride and then got detoured a few freaking FEET from my development entrance by a cop who had closed the intersection for another huge mass of runners! Gads... Drove the long way around to get home.

I got my groceries for the week and now I'm sorta irritable and don't want to go anywhere else! I have laundry and food prep to do so it's just as well.

Good to know James. I go through up/down on reading but usually can keep readings .3 or more. I eat Nutritional Ketogenic and strive to keep blood reading over .5 I've been in a struggle for three weeks.

Much is going on in our home with both boys (42 and 33) being released from AForce due to injuries from Iraq and brother's home burning down I am grateful to be a port for them all but it do cause more stress.

As it approaches 5:30 p.m. here -- already! - I wish there were more hours left of today.

I had a lie-in till after 9:30 a.m! So 5 pm seems to have arrived earlier than usual.
I did get ebay packed and few other non-ebay items as well, ready for tomorrow. Answered ebay questions too. Will do a bit of paperwork to the books are caught up, too.

Neil and Sarah (hubby's son and partner) are out for the afternoon, returning after dinner, so I am having some quite, which I love. They're great "kids" (well, they're 30 and 39 yrs old, but still "kids" to us LOL), but it sure has been a change with their moving in with us. Nothing bad at all, just different having so much less (totally) alone time to myself.

Food on track, got some other things done, and am about to hoover (vacuum) soon, then take the last few hrs of the day to myself, no work at all!

"See" you all tomorrow, and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

DIXIEDOODLEDEAN,
Ketones show up most when staring a low carb diet. They are a byproduct of partially burned fat. The longer you eat low carb the more efficient your body chemistry becomes and the fewer ketones. So don't worry if your ketones drop over time, it doesn't mean that you are doing anything wrong.

Time for my morning coffee, I don't drink 5 cups a day, its more like 1 or 2.

Men have gone to farm to work on old cars and trucks. I sent them off with apples and water after breakfast. expect they will get involved and I won't see them until afternoon.
Blood test show I'm falling lower in ketons. Must be eating too much protein. Today I'm making bone broth egg drop soup, brussel sprouts, chicken bites, and boys will get spring rolls. Now off to get some artwork done.

Hockey try out began yesterday, more today. Andrew is on the edge, could go either way depending how he plays. All of his friends are on the BB team, so I hope he makes it.
Try outs are right in the middle of the day too
