Yup, Sandy, months ago I unknowingly cracked a molar and didn't know anything was wrong until the infection flared up last month. I had it pulled last Thursday (could not be saved with a root canal) and that was the first time I'd had anesthesia and other assorted drugs as an adult (and I'm 51)! I had an awesome oral surgeon and he did an amazing job - no pain at all (including the day of and the day after) but I think the drugs did a number on me. :)

Hope your procedure goes well tomorrow. I could have eaten better if I had planned better, so maybe you can hold still better if you plan stuff to do sitting still! I put a black tea bag on my boo-boo and that really helped the blood clot (but it kept me awake that night!) so maybe you want to have some tea bags handy!

Lucy Sunflower did you just have some oral surgery? Hope that went okay! I get to go tomorrow to have an endodontist mess with one of the root canals that he'd done right after my back surgery at the beginning of February. I swear it was back surgery (discectomy and laminectomy), that brought about an abcess in my tooth, which then needed a root canal, and then I got a nasty case of shingles on the right side of my face. I'm kinda of afraid of the guy now!!
He's just going to do a gum flap surgery to get rid of the remaining abcess so I don't lose my tooth, it's in front. Endo says I have to be quiet all day and lay around and rest all day, no housework, no shopping cause it could cause to much bleeding. My family is selling tickets to sit around and watch me try to be quiet and hold still! I get no respect! emoticon The rest of my week is looking much better though.

I spent 6 hours in my classroom yesterday catching up. How is it I was behind again before I left today?

I'm back- I was out of town for the weekend with very poor cell service. I got a lot of exercise but I was B A D! I ate the wrong things and too much of them and I drank too much. I'm glad I'm home now and can get back to my routine.

My new mirror gets here today, that has been holding up the progress- until it's up the light fixtures can't go in. Now I need to get the electrician back over.

What? No daily thread yet?? I'm lost without one!!

I'm back at my desk today. Didn't bring enough food and I feel hungry and tired! I hope I'm still working residual infection and anesthesia out of my system - I don't feel like a bundle of energy yet but I want to be.

Today I'm poking around with a bunch of silly, non-inspiring tasks that drifted into my inbox both from Denmark and locally. Need to run an errand later and I hope that breaks up the afternoon and wakes me up. Tomorrow I go back to the oral surgeon for a check-up, and the receptionist who made my appointment said it is not unusual for their patients to have little to no pain afterwards so I'm not a freak.

Anyone else out there today??
