No firm plans for this long weekend - I'm retired, so I tend to do more during the week when there isn't so much traffic. Two big college football games going on in my area today, traffic is murder, so I've stuck pretty close to home, the local game will probably be done next 30-40 minutes - no way would I go to that area!
Thought about driving up to Portland tomorrow. I figure everyone that was going somewhere is already there and they won't be coming home until Monday afternoon/evening most likely. There was a huge amount of traffic out last night.
We went (about 12-14 of us) to one of the local wineries that had entertainment and dinner and wine, of course. They bbq'd salmon (I ordered just the salmon without anything else) delicious! And had blackberry wine to go with it.. Wonderful evening with perfect weather.
EWEFLUFFY IS NOW KICK-SS
TODAY IS THE TOMORROW YOU WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY. GET ON WITH IT!!
BEFORE YOU CAN START A NEW CHAPTER - YOU HAVE TO FIRST TURN THE PAGE!
Is it Woubbie? I read your post and took a peek at your page. Do you have time to make a voicemail recording of the things you eat during the day? Maybe you could hire one of your high school kids to transcribe your words to the website so you can keep up with your tracking. Every high school kid I know needs (wants) money, might be worth a try. Or if you are a predictable eater, which a lot of people tend to be, you could make what would look like a premade food tracker of the things you usually eat. Do this before your busy season on Excel or some spreadsheet and leave a few blank spaces. When you are too busy to track you can just have a printed copy of your tracker and circle what you ate and if it's something new put it in the blank spots. Might work also, depends on how important it is to you to be accountable to yourself. You know the old saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way."

Went to our state fair and I did pretty good! Thick cut bacon on a stick 2x's, pork rinds with lemon, & ice tea. Though I did eat half of my hubbys Apple Pie with Cinnamon Ice Cream, and half of a frozen banana but it was worth it!
Happy Labor Day Weekend to all the Americans here! (Our 3-day weekend was last weekend.)
Got up early and got loads done, then took a nap. LOL Then ran some errands on my motorcycle. stopping at a friend's on the way home. What a lovely day it's been! After 7:30 pm now, and my chicken is probably ready. YUMMM
Looking forward to 3 days of recuperation. Work has been really stressful this week - missed a lot of walking and general exercise, so I'll make up for it by actually working out at home for the next three days.
The funny thing to me is that this period for me is just like a typical day in mid-December (our industry's "peak" season), but everyone around me is running around shouting "The sky is falling!!!!"
Get over yourselves, people! Welcome to 40 hours a week of actual work! (Am I implying that I work with a bunch of slackers? Ohhhhh yeahhhhhhh.)
This will be a good weekend to make my fall plans. My job WILL ramp up to this screeching level of production in just a couple of months anyway, so I should take this opportunity to come up with fitness alternatives for those days when there just isn't even a 5 minute window per hour to get up and walk around unless I'm walking TO someplace important.
I think I need to come up with an alternative way of tracking food too. I threw in the towel on tracking early this week. I know I abandoned it entirely last fall, and I got progressively sloppier through the holidays because I was so swamped. Maybe a checklist, instead of a pokey old database like SP's. (It should NOT take me 10-15 minutes a day to track my food.)
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble so much! Have a great weekend everyone!
Where is everyone?? We're off to such a slow start online that a west coast member is starting the daily thread!
I can't believe how much better I feel today. I think that tooth was really dragging me down. I had some minor pain last night so I took a pain pill to sleep better and ended up sleeping for 10 hours. Holy crow... I woke up when Whiskey jumped on me! I still feel a bit groggy but managed to drive the boys up to our trails for our walk. Now I'm going to hang out on the sofa and drink more iced coffee until I sharpen up.
Low key day ahead for me... :)
