Ha, Suzanne, I'm glad I missed that! I really do not like to see "meatless" promoted as virtuous - food should not be a moral issue. I dealt with that growing up (my mom made everything a moral issue), and it really bunches me up to hear it now! End of rant.
I'm doing better but I still tire out easily. My face is only slightly puffy but I can only feel it in my cheek now. I'll call the dentist on Monday and find out what the next step is to getting the tooth extracted. Eek.
Connie, I hope you held up okay!
I'm with Faith - never heard of those characters! Did anyone ever read the Freddy the Pig books by Walter R. Brooks? My grandmother owned the whole series and I read those as soon as I could read. I really don't remember an adult reading to me.

I don't think I've ever posted here. But this is my first day back on a diet. I faltered back in March and gained a bunch of weight back. So now after a visit with my Cardiologist with my wife and back on it. So today is all about starting induction - again - and get my head wrapped around this diet again. And trying to make good progress on my overdue paper as well. Wish me luck.
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Burger with fried eggs! Good idea! I'm getting bored with relatively plain ones. (I'm not sure if that's what you meant that you've been eating, Suzanne, but it reminded me of one of my favorite all night diner choices back in the day!)
I have not posted here in a while. I come today and the headline is "meatless Mondays!" Gross! All is good here. Andrew is back to school. Fall is coming. I am not a fan f summer, so I am ready for cool , crisp weather. I am back to rare burgers on the grill. I had a few months of well done ground beef with eggs. See? I mix it up!
Hi all. I have never heard of those characters. I plan on having a fairly quiet weekend also. This is the weekend that we have church on Saturday night instead of Sunday morning. Just something we do different the last weekend of the month. It is nice sometimes to have all of Sunday off or visit other churches in the community or whatever. I am making a point this weekend to stay on plan. And rest. Have a fun safe day everyone.

Love your attitude, Connie, even if it does wear me out sometimes! Why does it seem so much easier to be, if not actually glum, at least blah? Have a great day, and don't worry about telling your classes that you've been sick and will have to back off a bit. They'll all understand, and the lesson you teach them about exercising even when sick will be a big help to them!
It's finally getting to be summer around here, too. We've only had 5 days in the 90s this summer (last year there were 58, as I recall), but they're predicting 5 days next week in the 89 to 91 range. With humidity. But the sun is supposed to be shining and I have a/c in the car and in the house and I have a dehumidifier, so all will be well.
Maw, I can just picture you going around covering the lunches with a napkin or some other method - love Amelia Bedelia! Almost as much as Junie B. Jones...
Connie, hoping you have energy to teach your classes today and don't overdo it while you're still recovering.
We just had a thunderstorm come through, much needed rain. It seems summer has finally arrived, now that the kids are back in school. We'll have 90's for the next week, ugh. It hasn't been over 90 since May here, very unusual but then we had a late spring. Hoping fall is late too, so we can have nice weather for a long time yet. Have lots of household things to do today, a hair appointment and errands. DH and DS leave around 5 today so I'll have the house to myself for 24 hours - woo hoo! That doesn't happen very often.

Good Morning Team! Please send me energy & positive thoughts. I'm teaching two powerful classes today. My breathing still isn't top notch & I haven't done anything cardio in 2 weeks. YIKES! The concrete is harsh on the body as well as the sun glare off the pool water & the sun beating down on me. I have my floor fan, sun umbrella & microphones in the car. I'm hydrating, taking a smaller amount of my cold medicine . . . and I'm getting my attitude in the correct position.
YIPPEE! It's Saturday! It's my choice to do what I do! I'm back on 25 gms of carbs. I'm joining my friend to help him. It will serve me well also. My decision. My life. I'm a very lucky Woman! Hugs to surround all team members! Connie
