Kris - Sorry to hear about the biopsy - I have never had one. I'm sure everything will turn out okay. And I know what you mean about the doggie. So sad when you have to make that kind of decision about what feels like a family member. It's a long ride to the vet when you make that decision. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Heidi - I've never had chille rennos (did I spell that right?), but it sounds pretty good, and I like enchilada sauce. It's always a problem when we go to a Mexican restaurant now. I have to really overthink how I need to order to stay lowcarb.

Woubbie - the economy is not the greatest now. I know they are laying off people at my hubby's company. And the employees that are left end up doing 2 or even 3 people's jobs, including my poor hubby.Very unsecure times these days. But they keep building banks that no one needs or goes to. And they keep building health clinics. Do they expect us all to get sick at once? I try to stay away from the doctor's office as much as possible. And empty banks is just about the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. They were built in 2009, perhaps with stimulus taxpayer money.

Oh Fitkris, I'm so sorry about Cloe... I've been there three other times (with Schnauzers) and sometimes it's just not very clear. And good luck with the biopsy - I got called back for another mammogram and an ultrasound but I haven't made the appointment yet.

Heidi, here's to hoping you can put an adjective in front of 'day' tomorrow - a happy adjective! :)

Woubbie, sometimes ya just gotta break something... Don't let it devolve into something that can be described by scary legal terms such as "assault", "misdemeanor", or "malicious mischief" though!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, I so appreciate it. There's only one thing to do at this point - go to bed so my day is over!

Fingers crossed and prayers said for you Kris. Sorry about Chloe...I made that decision and it just about did me in.

Woubbie, go ahead, break something, get it over with then smile at the jerk that just handed you something else.

Leslie, recall the kids game of Concentration? Think of matching the truck to the title like that- who knows, it might become your fave part of the job. Most days I prefer to do something I don't have to think about.

Joy, do you like chile rellenos? I had 2.5 oz of pork chorizo in a poblano topped with .25 c canned enchilada sauce. I like Herdez sauces in the little cans but didn't have any. I put it on top of shredded lettuce and topped with a scoop of mashed avocado and a dollop of sour cream!

I had a day- pretty much all I can say...

1. Stop wasting money- Save money

2. Exercise- do something every day

3. Get organized- mise en place

4. Write a letter by hand at least once a week.

Every day this side of the sod is a good day-
not sure who said it

What a horrible day, Kris! Don't second guess yourself about Chloe. It sounds like it's time for her to go. For her sake, not yours! And good luck with the mammogram.

At least you're there to whip things into shape, Leslie. Makes you wonder how anything got done before.

I'm having a real Monday. Had to go in this morning for a follow up mammogram, since my earlier one showed a couple areas they wanted a better look at. One was fine, but the other they are recommending a biopsy, which I have on Wednesday afternoon. They told me that 80% of these are fine. I'm not too worried, a little concerned I guess. Then my DH talked to the vet clinic and we are putting Cloe to sleep tomorrow afternoon. Now that we have it scheduled, I'm sad and second guessing if it's really time or not. It's just so hard to let her go.

Oh yeah, then I got home from work and took the lid off the crockpot - BBQ ribs - and they were cold. My DD had unplugged it to make coffee this morning and didn't realize it was the crockpot so didn't plug it back in. Plan B is pancakes for the kids and I'll see what I can find to make that's LC for me and the DH.

My job is just going to ramp straight back up to crazy in no time flat. As usual, we're being asked to take on more responsibilities without divesting ourselves of any current ones. Makes me want to break things. I WILL NOT cave in this time. I know EXACTLY what I want to get rid of. Grrrrrrr!!

LOL, Maw, that sounds like something someone would tell me here, but they at least know it's kind of a dumb thing to say! I made progress by matching titles to insurance cards and cross-referencing to the list from the CPA... I keep saying 'next year will be better', but at the very least I hope my stress level is down. I know that has affected my weight!!

I feel your pain, Leslie. We used to do a lot of ranch accounting when I worked in Montana. A client would say (frequently via snail mail) that they sold a truck. When we would ask which one, they would tell us "the red one" or whatever. Not at all helpful!

I'm back at my desk at work and am starting on yet another project that should have been done several years ago. We operate in both Washington and Oregon and there isn't anything that resembles a fleet maintenance system! Trucks, employee-assigned vehicles, etc. and no clue what vehicle is in what state - makes me nuts. What finally brought it to the point of having to do something was getting a huge stack of new insurance cards in the mail and not being able to identify which card goes with which Toyota Tacoma truck... They all look the same on paper! GAH!!!

Other than that I'm puttering along - gray and cloudy here, but it's pretty warm and the sun will be out any minute now. :)

have to go now and get my cell phone replace. bought a lemon. it broke, bought the same phone again, cuz i couldn't make a decision. so lemon #2 has bit the dust now. so, doing a bit of research online to compare phones and then i won't go into the store unprepared.
had company this weekend and a huge music festival here, so, it was an absolutely fun weekend. my girlfriend has celiac disease, so, we she and i had gluten free pizza one night and i ate pretty healthy over the weekend. hopefully my monday morning weigh in will concur. emoticon
happy monday gang!!

Small thunderstorm rolled in this morning - as soon as I heard some thunder, I got up to let the dogs out before they got their paws wet.

Need to stay home today and get some things done. Want to try a low carb recipe today. Need to have a little more variety of things to eat. Thinking about making some Revolution Rolls and freezing them. Never made them before. Hope they are good.
