Beautiful weather here, but traffic is horrendous - pretty sure it has something to do with Canada's long weekend!

I'm done running around and am home the rest of the day. I read a book and sorta relaxed but now I need to admit that I have to go back to work tomorrow and I need to get ready - change sheets, do the floors, and do the laundry!

Woubbie, pretty soon there's just gonna be two of you at home most of the time!

Speaking of squash, I made Laura Dolson's Zucchini Lasagna recipe yesterday and it took me forever, but boy was it good! My DH had made something similar before, and it was delicious, but runny. She had a great tip about dehydrating the zucchini first by salting it and letting it drain for an hour. Worked out great! Too bad I hate cooking so much. Couldn't wait to get out of that kitchen!

Packed off Kyle for away band camp today - it went smooth, but felt really weird not sending his brother along too. Seems strange that Kyle is one of the "elder statesmen" in both band and boy scouts now. Wow. Where did my rugrats go?!?!?

Off to do some paperwork - have a beauteous Sunday, all!

Church this morning, then went to the grocery store for some staples. A gardener at church was giving away zucchini and summer squash, and I brought home a summer squash. Now I have to remember how I cook it!

MIM with cream (like a hot cereal) for breakfast. Cabbage salad with leftover corned beef for lunch. Green beans and ham for supper.
