Got a haircut and color today -- decided to keep the length -- it is nice to be able to pull it back or put it up in the summer. Then just for fun added blonde streaks.
Ran a few errands then came home and made chicken manicotti for my dh. I don't make it often even though it is one of his favorite dishes. I grilled a great ribeye for me. I thought I would be tempted by the manicotti but I wasn't.
Just got back from picking the kids up at camp. As usual, they had a better time than they expected to, yay!
It's nice to have them home again, though I appreciated the quiet a lot. Only another month and the older one will be off to college. It's going to be a weird adjustment for all of us, though his younger brother is (so far) happy as a clam about it.
I got most of my housekeeping done during the week, so tonight I'm just chillin' and tomorrow I'm going to start a big "old photo" project that has been kicking around my mind for years now. I'm a type 2 perfectionist (meaning, I can live in total chaos because I don't have the time or the money to "do it right" right now), so I have to just shake that off and get going.

I'm home all day today and I'm glad. I got up and walked the boys and part way through our walk,Whiskey, who usually bounces and crashes around on his retractable leash, slowed way down and dragged his way back to the car. It is SO hard to diagnose a Schnauzer, but I am pretty sure he's having back spasms and is in a lot of pain. It seems to be fairly regular with him so I gave him left meds leftover from his last episode. He's better now, but I'm not going to rule out a run to the vet later.
I've got client work I should be doing today, but once Whiskey finally jumped up on the sofa next to me I decided to read for now - that way I could pet him at the same time. :) I fell asleep so hard (yup, sorta sitting up!) and I think I slept for about four hours!! Crikey... I didn't think I was that tired, but I feel better now so I must have needed it. Reminded me of those old days of post-carb sleepiness! LOL

Oh I was tempted alright.... but just decided it wasn't worth it. And I told myself what I always do when I'm super tempted: When I am at a healthy weight and maintaining, all those foods will still be there. If I still want to, I can eat them then.
Hello all, this is the first time I have started a daily thread... Hope that's okay!
So, I took my kids to the Fair (K-Days in Edmonton) yesterday. I didn't eat anything I shouldn't, and it didn't totally suck! YAY! It is cooler and cloudy today, so it's a yard work day. When I get out of my pjs, anyway.
