I agree Suzanne, I am addicted to every non-natural "food" item there is! LCing has slowly brought me back to reality.

Warm beer Woubbie!! Oh! My!! My beer must be cold!! LOL!!
I do drink warm drinks though because I'm so busy that anything cold is warm by the time I can get to it!

I'll check out Aldis!
Thanks!

I can't say that I actually gag on water, but it just doesn't go down happily. I really have to push myself to drink it. I kept looking for a way to make it easier, though, and I did find something that works. I can guzzle a whole bottle of water at once from the thin plastic bottles. I buy them at ALDI and actually let the thing collapse as I drink. No air gets in and it goes down very smoothly. (I can't drink cold liquids at all, so both my beer and my water are room temperature, but YMMV [your mileage may vary].

Keep trying different things until you find something that works.

Drinking water makes you gag? That is the most natural thing for any animal to drink. It goes against nature. I would work on re training yourself to drink water.

I wish I could drink water- it makes me gag. Eating only meat makes me gag too. Which makes me incredibly frustrated. I want to eat more beef than 4 oz, I want to drink water. :o(
Thank You Suzanne.

Left work early today to get a desperately needed pedicure -- sometimes I think I love my pedicures for the stress relief more than the look. I even splurged today with a parafin treatment. I am taking tomorrow off to go play with my husband -- he wants to golf but I would rather head up the canyon where it is cooler.

Good job on getting things done Woubbie! I wish I could say the same!

Great on the ticker move, Joy!

Gemini- that's awesome that you can spend the day with your mom! I talked to mine on the phone for an hour this morning, which was nice.

Today was another day of getting absolutely nothing accomplished.... but I did take the kids geocaching, so at least we got out for some walking. Soooo hot out today!

Hey, Gail, I want YOUR day! LOL I've had my head down at work and have been working on a bunch of weird little details and tasks and I'm bouncing back and forth between two fiscal years. I think I'm keeping it all straight, but then again I thought I was fine the other night and then found the salt shaker in the microwave the next day... :( Can't blame THAT on a Schnauzer!

I am leaving work early to take a couple of checks to the mail and then I have to get gas in the car before the idiot light comes on and scares me and then I'm off to a client's office!

Way to go on the weight loss, Joy! I will even cheer for fractions of a pound - it all counts!

Hi everyone, I guess I will chime in on here today. I had my teeth cleaning appointment today. I always have really bad plaque, not exactly sure why but she told me that my mouth looks beautiful. She is talking about my gums. I had really bad gum disease in the past but ever since I started this WOE my gums are great. Such a difference not having sugar and carbs, etc. Another advantage of this WOE!

YIPPEE JLKL! Doing the Happy Dance for you! YIPPEE!

Food's good . . . sleep was good . . . I'm dealing with Medicare & Supplemental insurance information today. I turn 65 this year & all of this information is over-whelming. I've broken it down to little things to do each day. I don't mind turning 65. My attitude & thinking isn't old. What is surprising & shocking for me is when I look in a mirror I see my Grandmother. LOL!

Life is a journey! I'm lucky to have the ability to travel the path I have chosen. YIIPPPEE! Connie

Good going, Joy! I'm perfectly happy to lose an ounce here and an ounce there.

As to phones, all 4 of us have had pre-paid phones for years. If I need the internet I use a computer.

Me and DH still have Tracfones and the kids have Boost Mobile. I pre-paid $99. last summer for mine and still have tons of airtime left. My DH is having more trouble because he insists on a flip phone and his options are limited, so we might be shopping for something else for him. Honestly, my eldest doesn't really NEED a smartphone - he'll be on campus most of the time and it's one giant wifi hotspot. It's more along the lines of a graduation gift, with strings attached. He's never had a job, so he's never had to learn how to budget for a monthly payment. Well, the time has come. :)

This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Oh - I forgot to tell everyone that my ticker finally moved down a pound. emoticon

I know it doesn't sound like a lot to some of you, but I am insulin resistant and every pound I am able to lose is such a victory for me. Losing weight for me is like Mission Impossible.

I had to go back to Atkins Induction Phase, and I am following Jimmy Moore (La Vida Low Carb Guy) formula of 85% fat, 12% protein and 3% carbs. I have ended up eating about 1500 - 1600 calories. Seems to be working for me. I, now, no longer fear the fat!

Woubbie - I was watching QVC one day on TV, and they had what they called a trac phone. I started to get one for myself because I just have a regular cell phone with no gimmicks. I had never heard of trac phones. They have everything the smart phones or iphones have, but you only pay about $90 for about 1,500 minutes. (Probably not enough for a college person.) But it had texting and anything you can imagine on it. Started to get one, but didn't understand it enough yet to buy one.

Had a lovely day yesterday, but still didn't get as much done as I would have liked, so I'm taking another vacation day. Already knocked a couple of tasks off my worry list this morning, including figuring out how to get my older son a smartphone before he heads to college. Those 2 year expensive contracts just get me p.o.'d, so I kept digging and found a prepaid plan that will cost about $1000. less over the same two years. It's cheap enough that Max can pay for it himself with the pittance he'll probably earn with his work-study job, lol!

Still have some things that I've been putting off and putting off doing that I just HAVE to get done today. I figure I'll play a little for an hour, then tackle them one after another.

Have a great day, all!
