I'm like Heidi - too far west to start the daily thread unless you guys are REALLY late. I didn't even check my email until this evening. Had a manic workday with my boss flailing around the office - good thing he's funny too!
Made stuffed peppers for dinner - yum. Might have blueberries and Greek yogurt for dessert!
Terr, cheers to your friend! Hope she just continues to get stronger and healthier.

Went to lunch today with my dearest friend. No sign of the lukemia again today so now it is all about getting her blood levels all on track. She is finally smiling, has her hair back, and feeling pretty decent. She was laughing today about her primary social life over the last 3 years being in the Drs office. She says you know the nursing staff too well when they invite you to their wedding.
We lucked out with a couple of days in the low 90s but the heat is back. 97 today and forecast for 100-101 for the weekend.
strangers to this team must think we're kinda nuts--there's the gal who's trying to keep her fat btwn 75 and 85% and the gal who's stopping at the beer store today.....really strangers this is a diet team!! cheers everyone!
I'd start it but I'd have to get u at 2:00 am to beat you guys.
It's hazy here so the full force of the sun isn't evident and we have a wee bit of a breeze blowing through; it would feel good if it were hot.
ON a cold, dark, rainy day (about 265 a year here) I sew. I'll go into my sewing room, turn on the TV and watch a movie or if there isn't anything on I'll turn on the iPad and watch Netflix. A lot of the time I'll have tea and a scented candle. The cat likes it because it's warm and quiet- the dog doesn't like to go in there because he can't trash anything and he gets bored. I can start my day in there with coffee, move on to breakfast, then lucn and finaly dinner and hardly ever come out. The view is killer from there (if you can see it through clouds or fog).
However much I like the rainy days, I LOVE this sunshine! I am sporting a natural tan for the first time in years from my own town.
I have PT today then I"m blowing off this popsicle stand for the day, I have places to go (home), things to do (sit in the sun), people to see (not!).
I am stopping by the beer store to look for the Miller 64 that Woubbie suggested- I so hope it tastes good. . .
1. Stop wasting time! Save Money!
2. Get organized- mise en place as the French say.
Every day this side of the sod is a good day- not sure who said it
My animals make me happy, some people not so much- a bumper sticker
I am at the beach with my family and mil and fil. They have been awesome about the fact that when they're eating spaghetti or lasagna, I'm having fish and veggies. Everyone's also been cool about the amount of time I spend on the computer tracking my nutrition and fitness, moving along to fitness videos and communicating with all of you. It makes it much easier to keep from derailing for a whole week. I feel truly blessed today.
By the way, weather and surf have been perfect!
Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
Gail - I'm from the Midwest where we get all four seasons. I need the sunlight to feel energized, but I like the gloomy, rainy days, too. Then I want to curl up and have a cup of tea and watch an old movie.
Trying to keep my fat intake between 75 and 85%. Have to really plan my daily menu to be able to do that. Am keeping my carbs below 20 grams. Will stay with this formula until the weight decides to leave me. My fat just loves me so.
George S. Patton-You're never beaten until you admit it.
