Thank you ALL, for your help. I've started my day with hot lemon water. That's what always worked for me when I had temporary challenges. I appreciate all the help. It warms my heart! This to shall pass. (Pardon the pun.)

Connie, I found that in order to stay fairly regular, I had to add more fat into my diet, so now I try for at least 60% fat. I also add 1 tsp. psyllium husk to my protein shakes which are my usual morning fare. And of course, drinking a LOT of water as well. Get plenty of veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, etc. Look up the fiber content of veggies and fruits if you eat them (raspberries have a lot of fiber) and pick some that are higher in fiber.

Russell!!! OMG! I haven't seen you on here in awhile! Good to hear that you are doing well, my friend!
Re my trainer, even though he had to bail on me on Tuesday, I DID stay and did an hour and a half work out. I just need him right now to get my butt back in gear! If I have to pay someone, I will get my buns to the gym!! This not only motivates me and teaches me new exercises to target my problem areas, but also helps me to go 4 times a week instead of just 2. I've been having a hard time getting back on the LCarbing, but the gym thing also helps me to 'couple' them together and have a 'fresh start' on both, if you know what I mean. I WILL DO THIS!! TOMORROW is my start day again!!

Woubbie - be careful driving in the deep rain.
Connie - congrats on the 13 pound loss - incredible!
Agieterr - it got to 99 here yesterday. Hot, hot, hot! I feel for you and the poor kids in that stifling heat.
Went to lunch with my mom, daughter and granddaughter. Had steak and a really good salad. We represented 4 generations of women at the steakhouse.
Then I babysat my toddler granddaughter who is very active. I'm a little tired. I need to go to bed early because I need my energy to watch her again tomorrow. Last night our electricity went out and with it the cool air from the a/c. But we called the utility company, and they had it back on in about an hour.

Connie, Congrats on the 13 lbs. Woubbie good luck unraveling your tangle at work.
102 here today, then to make it better we were testing in a school without AC-- thank goodness we were done and kids headed home at noon. Our low this week is supposed to be 98.

Finallee - 13 lbs lost on Induction is pretty good. I have had a few issues with irregularity, and find that if I keep fat high enough ( 60% + ), I stay regular. I only consume 10 grams of fiber out of 55 total carbs.
If you think fiber is the answer though, don't forget raspberries when you can have them.
Lady - even if trainer doesn't show up, you can still get started. Trainers are a wasted expense unless you need help with how to do a lift, or exercise. Don't let your health be dependent on the schedule of some guy. If he shows up, great! You have a cheerleader.
My brother just asked me to go to a restaurant, and not even one flicker of temptation was felt. I have my dinner cooked, but would usually give in, if he asked ( most times it was me asking ). I think he is just bored, and wanted to go out. So he went and got a 2 liter of pop.
My doctors told me to cut down to 1 liter of fluid a day, but I am struggling to stick to three 20 oz. waters. I have one left for dinner, and to take my night pills, and then 12 hours with no fluids.

Congrats on the 13 pounds!! That's awesome! Sounds like you are doing all the right things. Are you also taking vitamin supplements, like Magnesium, Potassium, etc.? They have helped me.
Today, my daughter and I did some running around town do this and that. We also went to the community college for her to sign up for some more classes in the Fall. Which gave ME the idea of checking out a few for myself this Fall/Winter. Couple those with workouts at the gym, we at least have me out of the house and doing something other than trying not to eat or sit and watch tv all Winter! lol
Meeting my trainer at the gym tomorrow morning to get started on another round of exercises. This is a GOOD thing ...espec since I have not been doing much (twice) of it since I've been back from my CA trip ending on May 24th! Plus I haven't been back FT on my LC either!! I KNOW..I'm bad!!! So, tomorrow is my 'jump on' the wagon again day!! I just hope he doesn't have to cancel on me again like he did on Tuesday!

Hello all! Today is the last day of my Induction Phase of Atkins. It's honestly the first day I've been hungry. I've been home all day (I take one day a week to stay home--if at all possible). I've cleaned, organized, washed & hung out laundry, caught up on emails, financials, etc.
I haven't done a specific workout. Lifting baskets of wet sheets, blankets, & towels is strengthening. I have finished everything but taking clothes off the line & folding. Smells great.
I've read everything I could on Sparks re: Atkins & bowel movements. I've been as regular as clock work until I 13 days ago. I've read the suggestions on the threads. I've done most of them. It's been 6 days & this afternoon I started feeling sluggish & 'full'. I drink lots of water, I use oilive oil, chia seeds, mayonnaise, & now have started on a stool softener.
I've lost 13# in these 13 days & I've had lots of energy to teach all my aerobic classes & go for walks, ride my bike, etc. Today . . . I've been dragging myself. Now, my positive thought of the day is that I can figure out how to resolve this challenge.
I figure it's because of the change in less fruits & veggies & the Greek yogart I usually eat with steel cut oatmeal each day. I also usually have my 'normal' after 2nd cup of coffee.
I'm going to breathe in . . . breathe out . . . .tomorrow I'll purchase some fresh spinach & lettuce. I'll take all my carbs in greens. Maybe that will help with all the water.
Now, it's my decision to get my metabolism sparked so I want to stick with the program. Hopefully all will be ok in the next day or so. Anyone else having similiar challenges at this point in your program?

Best wishes sorting it out, Woubbie! My son says he's been getting flood warnings the past couple of days for eastern Tennessee, where he goes to school. We've also had an amazing amount of rain this summer here in central NC, and are apparently bracing for more over the next few days.

Eeek, good luck with the mess, Woubbie! I untangled a bunch of those when I started this job, and now I am down to three mystery invoices/credits on customer accounts. When I can get my boss nailed down for a few minutes I'll get answers. Then I need to make corrections in such a way that no one in the home office thinks I'm incompetently deleting things I don't like. Sounds like your boss will accept a reasonable resolution!
Quiet day here, sunny, not too hot, and I obviously have to Spark! I wouldn't mind a little bit of that rain, Woubbie, but not that kind of dumping!

Wish you could send that rain our way. The river is already low and too warm, and it looks bad for the salmon run.

Wow. Started the day driving to work during a real gullywasher rain! Luckily for me most of my route follows the tops of the hills, not the valleys, but even up top the storm drains were completely overwhelmed. Drove through 12 inches of water in several spots, including the turn into the parking lot here! Hope all the folks living in the hollows are OK. This was definitely flash-flood conditions. It finally moved on about an hour ago and is only overcast now. Wow again.
I have one godawful invoice snarl of a task to unsnarl today and I'm posting here in order to put it off for just another couple of minutes before I jump in and ruin the rest of the day (and probably the week). These kinds of tangled issues tax every last grey cell I have left. Missing equipment, duplicate billing, overcharges, undercharges, misallocations, you name it, this statement just has it all! A veritable encyclopedia of everything that can possibly go wrong with invoicing, right up to and including landing on the desk of someone who is really unmotivated to get the mess cleaned up. And get this. I would guesstimate that when all is said and done we're probably talking about only 2 to 3 thousand dollars in total that one large corporation (mine) owes to another (theirs).
*sigh* I promised their AP guy that I'd have it solved today. Lies, dirty lies, and dirty rotten lies. Wish me luck!
