Thanks! Yes which is a lot for me, especially with having foot trouble before the relay. It was a great experience and plan to do it next year again. Some on my team walked almost 20 miles!

Hi all, I know I have sort of been missing in action pretty much since I did Relay for Life. Lot's going on. I overdid it at the relay according to my PT guy and my ortho doc. Had a real problem with my ankle. I think I sprained it after also having plantar fasciitis. But I did 14 laps and raised near $400 for the American cancer society.

I took 10 days off work, went to Nevada to my kids and we had a big 60th anniversary party for my folks and stayed to watch my son win in his dirt track car racing! Got back yesterday, almost had to evacuate due to a large fire in our canyon. Back to work today with piles and piles of surgeries to schedule. It will be a busy summer at work.

Yes Fitkris I have stayed on track, thanks for checking in on me and for the goodie! Just been so busy. I did not gain weight on vacation even with some "cheats" or choices. I am satisfied that I at least stayed the same. Sorry this is so long I should have blodded instead. Oh well. Russell, I pray you feel better real soon.

Happy Monday! I'm back at my desk after four wonderful days that were mine, all mine! I'm working on wrapping up month end, quarter end, and our fiscal year end. I fully expect a call from Denmark this week in which she will challenge me on a good third of my decisions.... *sigh*

I think I'm having turkey burgers for dinner. Can't remember what's thawed out.

Russell, keep us posted! I hope the discomfort in your back disappears on its own!

I hear you about the electricity. Fortunately, I like to camp and our water is gravity fed, so I can at least cook on the camp stove and flush the toilet.

Woubbie - I told my hubby that even though all the new technology we have available to us now can be wonderful, I often feel like it allows us to do more and more work without even realizing how much of a burden it can be.

But when our electricity went out last week for a few hours, I knew it would be hard to go back to the simple life. I couldn't even function. I kept telling myself, well I can boil some water and have some tea. Duh - can't use the stove or microwave. Couldn't watch TV or work on the computer. I just walked around the house all confused.

Anyway, getting a haircut today. New stylist - hope she doesn't mess me up too bad.

Will probably have a steak and salad for lunch afterwards. I seem to lose after eating a lot of red meat.

Then I need to think about cleaning the house and start repainting on the inside. Hubby doesn't seem to have the time these days.

Back at my desk after four days off. Yesterday I seemed to finally be back to equilibrium.

I think that I've just had so many months (years, really) of obligations and responsibilities on my shoulders that sometimes I just heap guilt on my head when I take a day off and don't keep my nose to the grindstone. And these days that kind of guilt leads to either depression or anxiety.

By late Saturday I realized that I had taken care of most of the pressing responsibilities and the rest would get done all in good time. So (ironically) I actually got more done on Sunday than I usually do!

Younger son is at Scout Camp this week, so he's officially an SEP: Somebody Else's Problem. Older son is pretty low maintenance, other than taxi service, so it should be an easy peasy week. Next week they're BOTH off to church camp. Yay!

Hope it's just a pulled muscle, Russell!

Both of my bridge groups meet today. I'll leave one a bit early and get the other a bit late. Oh, what a social butterfly I am!

I may have overdone it a bit yesterday at the pool. But it feels so good! Will probably be back again today.

Up a bit early due to lack of AC. The office for the apt opens by 10. I have to pay some bills, order pills, and then go to the bank to get everything in order. Then I will either feel better, or go to hospital.

My center of my back hurts me right now, and I was a bit short of breath before I fell asleep at 4 a.m. I don't feel great, but I am not short of breath, or having a rapid heartbeat at the moment. Just feels like a pulled back muscle now. It would help my decision some if I felt worse, but I am not going to wish that on myself.

I had a sausage omelette for breakfast, and have a few shows to watch tonight. Not much else till I feel better.

Hope you are better soon russell.
My older son is in soccer camp this week, so I might bring James somewhere to play. Steak is on sale, so I might have that a few nights. I have been eating my burgers with a few fried eggs recently.
