I've accomplished a lot of nothing today! The only thing I did was to sort out a bunch of old books for Goodwill and folded a load of towels that I washed and dried yesterday. (Forgot to take them out of the dryer last night).
Tomorrow starts a new month, and the second half of 2013. I'm going to really work at making it more productive than the first half was.
It was/is about 95 here today, really hot outside for this part of the country. Our "normal" high temperatures are in the mid 80's.... Oh well, this too shall pass!!

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today. Every Sunday night I have a panic list of "what's going to burn me this week if I don't get it taken care of before Monday morning?" The list is blessedly short, but it's still a list, so I'd better go finish cooking my chicken thighs for lunches and finding the documentation my medical plan requested. Grumph.
The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest--but the myth--persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.

It's hot and humid again today. It just drains me of energy! I walked the boys before 7 this morning and we stayed on the shady part of the trails. I've already gotten groceries and then paid all my bills online, so I really don't have to go anywhere today. I need to do some laundry and get ready for work tomorrow (a three-day work week since I'm taking Friday off!!), and now I'm about to go work out despite the heat and heavy air. I should whip out a client's laptop and work on her stuff, but I really just want to take a nap! :)

You beat me to it, Suzanne! I was just replying to Connie on yesterday's thread and then going to start today's.
Coolish today (70's) but humid. We had a lot of rain and thunder and lightning and wind yesterday. I think it's supposed to rain again this afternoon/evening. At the moment, it's delightful on my patio, though I'm about ready to turn on the ceiling fan. Mama Cass (cat) likes to come out on the patio, which is fine since it's screened in, but this morning the kittens followed us out. I have a beautiful begonia out here, and they are toxic. And the kittens, being babies, put everything in their mouths! So I have to keep the door to the patio closed and let Mama Cass in and out instead of letting her wander on her own.
Hope you're all having a great day to end the month!
