Not much going on here today. I have a boring life. Its raining, well pouring. I have to go out later and pick my son up so I hope it stops. Then my oldest son wants to upgrade his cell phone because some of the buttons on his don't want to work, not sure I want to do that tho for he just turned 19 and I am about ready to make him pay for his own phone bill.
I have a slight head ach, i think its from the lack of sleep.
I wish we had somewhere here that done some kind of vegy deal, program. There is a framers market but its 30 minutes away and to be honest I usually don't find that many great deals to make it worth the drive there and back.
Pea stems. Wow. Every time I think I've at least HEARD of all the vegetables there are someone posts about a new one!
Just another day here. Both kids are officially out of school finally and both had friends over last night, so they're all still sleeping and lazing the day away. I'll set the alarms tonight for tomorrow. They have STUFF to do!
When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. Love thy neighbor. No exceptions. Equal rights for others does not mean less rights for you. It's not pie.
Hubby and I went to the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday and stayed at a really wonderful resort overnight to celebrate my Bday and his Father's day.
I started out really good - but when it came to dessert buffet, I was weak - I had the cheesecake. Then on the drive home, I kept falling asleep so we pulled over at the gas station and I ate a sprinkled cake donut. That kept us awake for quite awhile, but then I kept nodding off all the way home.
I was having an allergy attack down at the Lake, and I had to take some benadryl, which was making me drowsy.
Anyway, I was naughty - but I am back on plan today.

I had a great Father's Day, yesterday, and look forward to a bike ride today. Keep up the good fight! I joined a CSA for veggies and because it is still early in the year I am getting weird things that are fun to eat....pea stems?!
Ham for dinner!

I'm back, after a whirlwind trip to Kansas for a funeral. Due to road construction and some unplanned detours (though nothing like my brother's, who accidentally booked his plane reservation to Kansas City instead of St. Louis!), it took thirteen hours to get there on Friday, funeral and catching up with cousins and once-or-twice-removeds on Saturday, and then eleven hours to get back home on Sunday. Fortunately, the cousins who live where the funeral was held also eat low carb, so there was appropriate food there.
I'm glad to be home, where I can get back on track and things are under my control! I'll play bridge this morning (if enough people show up), get some pet supplies while I'm on that side of town, and hopefully pick up my fosterling(s) this afternoon.
