JLKL, I read your post and it made me want to join you on the porch swing with coffee and the quiet morning. Our mornings are mostly too cool for that very early, but when I go down to So. TX coast (spring or fall, NOT mid summer) on vacation, I do that at my DD's house, sit on her patio, watch the sun come up and the birds singing etc. - Absolutely Love it!!!

SUZANNEYEA- That movie is hilarious! But it also had more depth than I expected. I really liked it a lot. I loved Knocked Up when it came out and watched it about 100 times.
As far as my Sunday, I spent it sleeping in a bit. Then went did some grocery shopping. Then went out to dinner w/ my mom and stepdad, then came home and cooked a little to prepare for tomorrow and now I am Sparking for a bit. :)

Been a nice day here until a few minutes ago. The wind got up and it started pouring down rain, big rain drops to. They are calling for thunder storms tonight.
We had a nice grilled supper. Pork chops, shrimp and some vegys all cooked on the grill. I love those fresh green onions. We had to do two meats for we did not have enough of either one for all of us and then for hubby to have lunch tomorrow.
Late check in today. It sounds like most everyone had a pleasant weekend.
At church they invited this year's high school graduates to come forward for a blessing. (Just two this year; the parish just continues to shrink and shrink.) I was beaming and proud, but no sniffles, until the congregation sang the traditional congratulations/happy birthday/happy anniversary/happy whatever song, Mnohaya Lita. I got to the third line and just couldn't sing anymore. I would swear, for the first time since we started going there, that my grandparents were right there with us. I mean, the church has always filled me with memories of them, but not their presence. I think they're very pleased and proud.
This is the version we sing, though obviously not QUITE this grand! We sing it at about the speed that they sing it after the first minute.
On the home front, I got a lot of stuff cleared away this weekend, which always makes me feel lighter. It also makes me sneeze like crazy from the dust, but it's GOOD sneezing. I'm trying to make the older one's transition to college easier for both boys by giving them a whole summer to enjoy more of a grown-up room. The last of the little kid toys are getting boxed up and either donated or stored. It's almost looking human in there finally!

Slept in a little bit (well, dozed in, really), then got up and went for a while it was still cool. The path is along the side of the country club golf course, so it's pretty much open and green on that side, and the houses on the other side have nice deep back yards. Not as nice as walking through the woods, but still nice. Missed Sunday School, but went to church and then a bunch of us went out for lunch. To a pizza place, but they have a wonderful chicken dish with pesto, cheese, and nuts. I'll do some work in the yard this afternoon, even if I have to do it Fly Lady fashion!
Just went through the garden and discovered my spaghetti squash vine has begun to bite the dust at the base of its vine. Can not figure what that could be?? I was so excited of the squash growing. Oh, so sad.
As a bonus I have three sunflower plans growing I didn't plant. Wild birds must have dropped seeds. Mulch pile that I turned over and placed plastic on to kill the weed seed was ripped open by wildlife. As a result I now have unplanned squash growing .. maybe this will make up for the winter squash.
I woke up to gray skies and pretty much threw myself together, loaded the boys in the car, and went off to get the groceries. Now I'm home with a very long To Do list and no real motivation... *sigh* I'm going to get out my timer and do the FlyLady thing. I have GOT to knock some stuff off the list before I let myself go off duty today!!

I could hear the thunderstorm approaching about 10:30 last night, and then it just poured down. I love lying there in the dark and listening to a thunderstorm knowing that I am safe inside the house.
When I let the dogs out this morning, the rained had stopped and the sun was out and the patio had already dried off - like nothing had happened last night. But my roses were still a little droopy from all the heavy rain and some of the petals came off. I love to sit on my patio swing in the morning and have my coffee before most people are up. It's so quiet and peaceful watching the birds feeding their babies.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Off to church and Sunday dinner with my parents and brother & sister-in-law. Small group of us today so we are going out, apparently someone picked Original Pancake House which means I need all my willpower to resist pancakes!! Ugh. Hopefully they have omelets or even just eggs. Didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped, so today will be busy. Hoping the rain stops so I can take Cloe for a walk later too.
WOE: Atkins/real food. No processed bars/shakes/etc.
