Way to go, Maw - you did deserve that and I'm glad you did it for yourself!
I am so glad it's Friday - after that customer/boss scream-fest in the office next to me on Wednesday I really haven't slept all that well. However, my boss is returning to normal and is laughing again, and that will balance things back out! I'm meeting a client tomorrow morning to finish setting up an accounting system for her personal stuff, but after that my time is my own. I have a lot of work to churn out today, but that will help me leave here with a clear head.
Had a yummy leftover pork chop and a little roasted butternut squash for lunch, and some raw veggies and triple cream brie for a snack later! :)

I had a doctor's appointment this morning to get some Rx refills and some lab work done, then decided to get my hair cut while I was in the neighborhood. Then decided as long as I was there I'd get a scalp treatment (You know how the shampoo is the best part of getting your hair cut? Picture that kind of scalp massage for about 20 minutes!). And I noticed that my nails were getting long so I decided to get a manicure while I was there. Talk about being pampered! Of course, it was all at a beauty school or I never could have afforded it, but it was sure nice.
Nothing particular planned for this afternoon, though I'm so relaxed after all of that, whatever i do won't be much!
I will have afternoons off (hours at my job are reduced) for a few weeks starting next week. I've got a bear of a commute from home, and loads of health issues--so in the a.m., I am thinking to leave earlier and chop down the a.m. commute time by about 30% ...

Took a vacation day today, but still had to get up bright and early to take the kids to school (only 3 more days of that!!!) so I thought I'd do all my Sparking first thing.
Have lots of plans for the day - knocking more things off the to-do list. That list is actually, finally, getting a lot shorter! Woohoo!
Gonna play some World of Warcraft first though! I mean, it's a vacation day, right?
Have a great day, all!
The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest--but the myth--persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.
