We thought it was going to rain today so we/I took the twins to chucky cheese to play games. They love that place. $40 and they had 820 tickets to use but we save them so they cant build up for something a little nicer.

The we went to check out a new store called Dirt Cheap. They have some nice stuff in there. They have a leather love seat the I would love to have for my den. I have to wait till hubby is home over the weekend to see if I maybe can buy it. We always buy stuff like that together. I did find my little girl a few pices of nice clothes for nest to nothing all new.

Now tomorrow will be a stay at home day for someone is coming to play with Julia and maybe spend the night. She get lonely with her being the only girl here(kid wise).

This is the link to the Atkins website. even tho I dont fully do it the atkins way anymore I do still eat from the atkins food list/eat. I just count carbs different than they do.

Yeah, Fitkris, it IS possible, but it's a temporary one. I think it's called a Bailey Bridge and it's a design that was developed during WWII. It will open up traffic on the Interstate again (at a reduced speed) and then they'll close it again for a couple weeks in September to finish off the "real" replacement. Our little back roads are really suffering under all the heavy traffic. This has been an interesting interruption to so-called normal life!

I don't know if I'd trust a bridge that could be put up in a few weeks...is that even possible?!

Helloooo!!!

Wish I could volunteer at something I actually enjoy doing. Alas, I probably have at least 12 more years in the salt mines before I can even THINK of retiring.

I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow, my annual beginning-of-the-fiscal-year-not-quite-end
-of-the-school-year day off. I have vacation days available again, and the kids are still in school, so I have a day with the house to myself. Ah. Bliss.

But that means today I have to work like it's a 16 hour day, so I'd better get back to it.

Have a great day, all!

I have been volunteering the last 2 days, about 4 hours each. Both sitting jobs, since my knee was hurting. Yesterday I typed in surveys at Clean water Action, and there are still over 500, and they get in 100 a weekend. Would be boring if my friends wasn't working there. So it's a social event too. I rarely see here otherwise.

My knee feels better, from icing, and the Prednisone. I have only lost 2/10ths of a lb in the last 2 days, but I feel I will drop more after I go off the steroids on Saturday. I slept in late today, since I only got 2.5 hours sleep yesterday, and my plans are breakfast, laundry/dishes/garbage, and then reading the afternoon away. The weather has been beautiful all week, and I can't even go for a walk. My knee still has one sore spot, and I only have 1 pill to take the next 2 days. I am worried that it is still sore. I see the doctor again on Tuesday, but just want to get past this, and feel good.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Woke up to gorgeous weather again today, and walked the dogs in sunshine! Now I'm at work and I'm the only one here! This is a small office anyway but when the two main staff members downstairs don't show up that means I'm on my own! I'm a tad annoyed because one of them has my cell phone number, but such is life!

This afternoon after work I have to cross the river on detours again (the bridge is still VERY broken but supposedly the state is working to get a temporary one up in the next couple of weeks) to get to a client's office, and I'm hoping it doesn't take me an hour like last week! It's normally a 15-minute trip. Maybe I'll leave work early... :)

Maw - that is funny! I have had that happen to me before when I volunteered. But if you volunteer at the schools, they never send you home. At least, that has been my experience. And Girl Scouts never send you home.

Well, thanks to everyone replying to my Nutrition Tracker yesterday, I have my whole day of eating planned out to meet my nutritional requirements. Also, I am keeping my calories around 1,300 calories.

So, I will be eating this way; and hopefully, the scales will start to move in the right direction.

Getting my hair done this afternoon with something called a weave. My hairstylist talked me into doing this. Last year, she had my dark hair highlighted to almost a blonde.

Then, in the afternoon, I get to babysit my 2-year old granddaughter. She ususally gives me quite a workout. She wants to play on the swing, but it has been raining here so much, it is just too wet to get in the yard.

Not much planned for today. Will be at the library all morning, if they have anything for me to do. Kind of discouraging when you're volunteering and they send you home. But I guess it's better than being sent home when you're expecting to be paid!
