Hubby and I are spending the whole sunny beautiful daying getting our flowers out in the yard, cutting the grass and making everything look nice for Mother's Day. Daughter and her hubby and my granddaughter Noelle are coming over Sunday to grill out.
So I am exhausting myself to get things ready for them.
George S. Patton-You're never beaten until you admit it.
My lovely daughter April is taking me to lunch today in the middle of all of her paper writing for college. She has a heavy load this year and tough profs. I am looking forward to spending time with her though. will eat on track. I am on the downward trend again and don't want to be sidetracked. By the way she is going to walk the Relay for Life with me the end of June.
I almost had an opportunity to go see my fav Mario Frangoulis in concert tonight. I was an "alternate" if one of the others couldn't go but so far that looks like it isn't happening. I was so hoping it would. Next time I will make sure it happens. I hope there is a next time!

Amen to that, Debbie. Grrr. I'm 55 and still dealing with it. Grrr again.
Have a small houseful of kids this morning, all sleeping in, since they were up until 4am. The college freshman are returning home for the summer, and my older son, whose friends almost all graduated LAST year, is happy as a clam to hang out with them.
He did his practice presentation for his Senior Project yesterday and it went well, so I think he really needed to blow off some steam. Things are finally starting to come together in his corner, which is a real relief. He's on track for college, I got his financial aid documents together, signed us both up for orientation, just need to reserve a room - it's a 2-day orientation seminar!
Got a lot more paperwork to clear out this weekend, but my "Office in a Bag" is finally looking pretty tidy again. (See FlyLady.net if you've never heard of that one!)
DH is working on the bedroom ceiling project again, which motivates me to get some more prettifying done to the house. I'm still focused on the kids' room to help them weed out their dusty old possessions. I never wanted to be the mom that threw their toys away when they weren't looking, so periodically we all go through stuff they've outgrown and either pitch them or donate them. This time I'm moving their hardcover books out of their room. I'm keeping ALL of them, but not on constant display. The Harry Potter books can live in my room, and the others can go into a nice tote back in the storage cubbyhole.
It's funny, too. I'm usually the one who decides to hang onto some little object that they're willing to let go of because I suspect that 10 years from now they'll rediscover it and put it back out on display. So back into the storage closet go all the Pokemon and Rescue Heroes, lol!
I'm the only one up today! Stupid digs and that time of the month cramping got me up'! I'm too old for this, I wish thus part would hurry and end! Dh and I are doing talking and I'm praying a lot! He is trying though so that is a good sign! Not sure what were doing today but I do wa t my house cleaned for Mother's Day!!!!
James and I are the only two awake so far. HDTV and drew we're at softball pretty last, so they need to sleep in a bit. Or they will not be in very good humour today. It is rainy here, but I am sure there will be breaks and I can take James for our daily walk. Andrew has his dance show this afternoon. His group is just terrible, but he loves dance. So, we smile and clap for him, but laugh a lot on the inside. When he sees the videos as an adult, he will just die!
