I use the navigator on my phone for directions. But many times I look it up on line first.

Debb, GOOD! I'm glad you guys got the place that you wanted - it sounds like it will make things a whole lot easier for you.
My car has a built in GPS, but would you believe, I've never used it except once for a hilarous day. I also have a regular GPS that I had before I got the car and I know how to use that and everything, so thats what I use if I need it.
My DD and I were going to Portland to the zoo one day, got off at the wrong exit and in Portland there are numerous bridges across the Willamette and if you get on the wrong direction, you sometimes will have to go across one of the bridges before you can get back. She had hooked up the GPS (we "thought" we knew where we were going" - and somehow I'd activated the voice part of the one in the car - so we had two of them going... It was such a funny hour or so. I finally got the car shut up and we used the other and got to our destination without further ado. But we had some good laughs with two GPS's telling us where to go...
I'm going to a lapband support meeting tonight with my friend, she's been having some issues with hers that she got about 3 years ago... We'll see what's going on - they finally had to take some of the fluid out, so it might be better now for her. They're pretty tempramental things sometimes..
It's been a good day here, a very nice day once the clouds burned off this morning - sunny and not too hot - about 75 most likely. I'll take a jacket tonight, I know when the sun goes down it will cool down.
EWEFLUFFY IS NOW KICK-SS
TODAY IS THE TOMORROW YOU WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY. GET ON WITH IT!!
BEFORE YOU CAN START A NEW CHAPTER - YOU HAVE TO FIRST TURN THE PAGE!
Yay, Debb!! I'm so happy for you - I can imagine how much easier life will be with all your business roles consolidated into the same location.
Maw, maybe your rental car will have GPS? Personally I prefer a map because I like the big-picture orientation a map gives me versus "turn here' directions. Probably one of the reasons I have felt no need to buy a GPS!
Oh Woubbie, you did great - you shut her down by taking the high road! I would probably have ended up huddled at my desk trying to figure out how to get her out to a stairwell without witnesses...
My day has been moderately frustrating. Managed to get out for a dog walk this morning, but then at work all I've done is crunch numbers to explain 2nd quarter versus 3rd quarter revenue differences. These Danish home office people blast out spreadsheets for everything and the only visible differences are in the name - each spreadsheet looks the same as the last one and it makes me nuts! End of rant.

Congrats, Debb! You've worked long and hard to get this move put together!
I don't know if you all remember my co-worker meltdown from a couple of months ago, but it actually ended up having excellent fallout.
~ She's too self-conscious to sit on the phone with her family all day long, now that she knows I complained to our Sr Manager about it. Much quieter most of the day.
~ She's also too self-conscious to keep coming in late every day and taking ridiculously long lunches! Same reason as above.
~ She's been nice as pie to me since she realized what a lot of crap I have going on that's causing me to be so short-tempered. (It also didn't hurt that I brought her flowers from my garden and a sappy card by way of apology. Actually got a hug out of that! LOL! You know what they say, Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...)
~ Of my 2 suggestions to help prevent any future problems management shot down the "relocating my desk" one - which I would have thought was the easier sell because it was zero cost - but actually followed through on getting me a bluetooth headset so that I can listen to music instead of all the phone conversations I'm bombarded with all day! It cost just over a hundred bucks, but the company's already made that back from me in productivity! I can focus again! WOOHOO!!!! Here's to being the squeaky wheel!!!
Have a great day all!

Well, it's been an interesting and chaotic week! (I am still on plan, however!)
We saw a house (with a huge workshop) that we really liked last week, and put in an offer (it is a rental) which was accepted by the landlords; we are going through an agency. That said, we filled out all the paperwork for references and financial stuff and got accepted yesterday! We are so excited -- we'll finally have the office/admin/accounts part at the same property as the workshop/manufacturing part! WOOHOO!
We still have 5-1/2weeks till we move in (we get the keys on 14 June), so we can still save up more for this move, as we have heavy equipment to be transported as well.
We had a lovely weekend - it was warm and sunny! It was also a 3-day bank holiday weekend, so it was especially nice with the (finally) good weather!
All else is pretty normal (haha)... work, packing, ebay, post office etc, and now thinking about the move.
Maps? Who uses maps these days. Don't you have a gps? Another super hot day. I will probably go to bible study at noon, nice and cool in there. James loves all the attention. Tonight is Andrews last dance class, hurray. With baseball and soccer also going, I am ready to end dance.
Be safe maw! I'm only 3 hours from Tulsa!! I go to day for my yearly female visit part one!!! I believe it will be fine I just get real nervous when I Hv to go for the mamo!!!i won't do that today! Thank goodness! Then off to work !
I leave today for a couple of days in Tulsa, about 10 hours from here. I'll do it in two days. Then I hope to get all my business done Thursday afternoon, maybe taking until Friday morning, then come back Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. I hope.
I have done almost nothing about getting ready. Not only do I have to pack and stuff like that, but the house is pig sty and has to be cleaned up before Christine comes over to take care of the cat. I am a tiny bit house proud, but not very! And I need to get over to AAA to get some maps. I threw out all of my maps of here to Tulsa because I didn't expect I'd be going back after Aunt Helen died.
Anyway, I'd better get back to getting ready. I'd much rather spend my time here with you! Actually, I'd much rather do just about anything instead of cleaning up!
