hey debbie,
i can get the nasty sinus headache when i eat wheat.

had a weird day today. everything just a bit off....first i wrestled to put my boots on and they were tight. got them off again and checked the size. my mom and i have the same boots and i think she took mine home by mistake emoticon so, i had to change my whole outfit to adapt to the footwear i had to wear.

then had a lovely sunday drive with my dh. but, service was annoying today. we went to whistler which is an international resort. walked around for awhile, looked at restaurant menus and picked one. went in and sat down on the patio, read our menu, picked our choices...and waited...and waited and finally just left. no one came near our table (and they were serving tables on either side of us). we went to another patio and it was awfully slow service too, but, at least there was service. i had a burger with swiss cheese, bacon and blue cheese (no bun) and caesar salad. when we got the bill we were told they didn't take debit cards; credit cards and cash only. i was directed to an atm machine inside the bar. it cost me $2.50 to take money out. i thought that was really tacky, being unwilling to pay for debit card service in their interac machines and then robbing you of an extra $2.50 to use their atm machine. it wasn't a cheap meal either. that is enough to ensure i never go that restaurant again, since i pay for all meals (and specific other things) with debit. also, i'm afraid that i gave the waitress $2.50 less for a tip. she still got a good tip, i'm fairly generous that way. i know it's not her fault her boss is cheap, but, i hate to be nickeled and dimed like that.

then we came back to our town and dh asked if i wanted to go for gelato. i said sure, they make sugar free gelato too. and wouldn't you know, they didn't make any sugar free today emoticon i go there maybe once a year or less cuz it's just not a healthy treat, i don't think, so, i was really psyched up for a little bowl of sugar free gelato. ended up with a san pellagrino water.....not quite the same. did have a couple licks of dh's cone just to taste. he had a double scoop of chocolate and banana on a waffle cone.

finally, on our way home we stopped at a clients' company to pick up a cheque. on friday, this client (ex-client, i'm just trying to get the last 2 months of their account paid...from last september!) said she had mailed out a cheque a month ago and it must have gone to our old address (from 5 years ago), so, she would put a stop payment on that and have a new one ready to pick up at the guards' office. they have been horrible with their account since day one and i will be so relieved to see the last of them. anyway, there was no cheque waiting for us...of course.

anyway, overall the day out was lovely and i was happy to spend the day away from business. but, gosh, it was weird how not one thing seemed to really work out. though it was actually perfect and i have no right to bitch. emoticon . i'm a terrible person, and long winded too emoticon

A beautiful Sunday here - about 85... (That's warm enough as far as I'm concerned). Bright sun - only bad thing it's really windy and the fire people are afraid of uncontrolled fires. I'm expecting a burning ban around here soon unless it cools off and the humidity rises.

I stayed up too late last night enjoying the whole idea of a "day off", and now I am a tad sluggish. I have lots to do today - workout, dog walk, the usual home chores, laundry, and a little client work, and then this evening am meeting friends (ex-husband!) for dinner at a Mexican restaurant.

The weather is gorgeous and the back door is propped open so the boys can wander in and out. They both really love this weather too!

No real plans today. Just spending the day outside. It has been very warm here, almost too warm for me.

Happy Sunday! It's Orthodox Easter and we just got back from a very early service (that turned out lovely). As part of my son's Senior Project he was learning to rehearse and direct the choir. Today was the last part of his project and it turned out very well. Hope the video did too! I just propped up the iPod and let it roll!

I was starving after the service and I wanted to eat out (with our Easter being so late this year I just couldn't get motivated to cook all the traditional Easter stuff; didn't even make up a food basket to take to the church), so I asked the boys if they minded stopping at Eat N Park for brunch (local diner-style chain). They both said Bleh, and I'm like, how could you not like the buffet? There's tons of good stuff! So I made them go anyway and....

And bleh! When did our best regional family restaurant get so crappy? They seem to have spent all their money on the decor and none on the food. I mean. Precooked bacon-in-a-bag?!?!?! Ugh. Disgusting. I complained. The poor waitress gave us 20% off (I tipped her based on the original price - it wasn't her fault), and then as soon as I walked in my door I fired off a "Contact Us" email to their Corporate HQ. I can't believe people are putting up with the crappy quality. I mean, it's not particularly cheap, either!

OK. Rant over. The weather's absolutely gorgeous and I'm planning to totally enjoy my day!

Has been rainy and colder here in Missouri for about 4 days now. Good for the grass and flowers - we had such a bad drought last year. My Hubby had to redo all the yard, we lost 20 Dwarf Albert Spruces and my lovely old Redbud Tree is about 75% dead. I hate to have it cut down. I think I'll give it one more year and see what it looks like next Spring.

I feel like that too sometimes. We also are a small church. I lead our women's ministry. But women are under so much stress from so many sources. Gotta give Grace, grace, grace...good thing you are woman of grace.

Had our banquet last night it was good I was named woman of grace this year so that was special! It was disappointing we only had 18 women and we are a small church but alot more woman could have come! It frustrated me because as the pastors wife we here always we want fellowships we want to do stuff so we gave stuff then they don't come! Ugh !! Oh well new day! I did est a few thinks not on plan , we had made food from different countries, mine was France do I made ratatouille and low carb creapes! But I woke up in the middle I'd the night with a horrific sinus headache! Had that ever happened to anyone who had not eaten on plan? Usually it's only my digestive system that gets annoyed! Thanks y 'all !

I live in the deep south. We just had winter come home. I can see my BREATH for goodness sake. All my garden plants look ok which I consider great because they must be healthy to stay out all night in sub 40 degree weather.

We are checking our security cameras and reloading field cameras for the nasty folks who like to trespass and "find" things. Gives me great pleasure to see turkey, deer, bobcats, coyotes (not) They all use the same trails each night. Each one has a pee pattern to re-mark the path. I think on bobcat wanted to poop in front of the camera to show what a big boy he was.lol

Slightly warmer here today (about normal for this time of year) and rainy. Church and Sunday School this morning, then a potluck at church. Taking some students out to Golden Corral for supper.
