Congratulations Debb on getting the house - that's great and I'm sure quite a relief to you too to know you will have a place.
I can relate to those of you who want "alone time", but on the other hand I envy those of you with families close and things happening... I've been living alone for over 20 years now since my husband died - the kids are all away from home and except for one, don't live in the same town as I do. I miss the hubbub of 4 kids running around, at least sometimes - but by the same token, I've learned to be alone and I enjoy that too most of the time. I was an only child, so I learned early on to entertain myself...
I eat veggies, unlike Suzanne, but hey - whatever works for us is what we need to do. I also eat some fruit, mostly berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). It's what works best for me.

True, Suzanne, but you are an old hand at this, and your decision not to eat veggies was conciously made. My main concern is that some folks still think that low carb means you only eat meat. And for the vast majority of us, that's just not true. In fact, many of us eat more veggies now than we did when we weren't eating low carb. Also, Kath said that she is missing her veggies, and it's important that she not get bored or she's not likely to stick with it.
Woubbie, I totally get it - even happy fun can drain us introverts, and I hope today recharges you.
There are only TWO of us at work today and it feels sorta spooky. The warehouse is pitch black and quiet and I freaked out at having to walk into it (just a little corner of it) to get into the office so the guy downstairs opened one of the bay doors. When he leaves today, I'm leaving too! Which will probably be early... :) In between now and then I'm finishing up a few loose ends, paying some bills, and finishing payroll. It's a tad chilly outside but the sun is out and it's a gorgeous day. Wish I could share, Fitkris! LOL

Spent yesterday on the road. It turned out to be a wasted business trip, but a wonderful lunch with my nephew's wife and son. Will get to see them again Thursday as they rescheduled my appointment. It is a three hour drive and will have to be there by 8:30am so will be up early tomorrow.
Did manage to eat on plan yesterday and today is planned for more of the same. I miss my veggies, but I eat enough fat so that I am not hungry, just need to loose the thought of needing more veggies. Will be walking more than I did yesterday, also.
Was happy to hear that you found a place, Deb. I haven't been posting here but have been lurking and praying you would find a good place!
Debb- very good news. I hope this place works out well and you can stay a good long time. Moving is so HARD. Woubbie- I'm proud of you being in touch with you, knowing you just needed some "alone" time. I , too, crave that kind of time. Sometimes I get a little frantic wanting the house to be "just mine" for a few hours. When that idea doesn't work I just have to get in the car and GO somewhere. It's MAY- I would like it to be a good strong month- guess I better make a plan if I want that to happen : ) duh!
Woubbie, I am an introvert too so I can relate to needing time alone. Enjoy your day!! Debb - great news on the house, congrats!
Woke up this morning to an inch of that pesky white stuff on the ground and still falling...heard we haven't had snow in May since 1976 but I'm really not surprised considering April was the 3rd snowiest on record here. So, back to temps about 25-30 degrees below normal the rest of the week. We had 60's and 70's for about 5 days, we'll get there again, I hope! On the bright side, I think we are out of the drought we had last year.
Happy May Day!

Called off work today. I suppose I COULD have gone in to work today, but I am SO tired and SO run down I don't think I would have accomplished much anyway. I need a couple more hours of sleep and some serious decompression. For an introvert like me to go weeks, sometimes MONTHS without more than an hour to myself is like torture. Today the kids are at school and my DH had some appointments so the house is mine all mine for a few hours! Ahhhhhhhhhh.
Have a great day, all!
~ Declutter my current batch of paper and clerical To-Do's by ~ Getting all my daily personal clerical upkeep tasks done in the first hour of the day and ~ Scheduling my workday workouts like I would schedule a meeting and ~ Scheduling a defined half hour for lunch, when I work/play only on personal business
Hope you get the house Debb, and good for you for staying on track!! I had a great workout with my trainer last night....really sore quads today, but hey, I needed that. Today taking my daughter and sister for a girls day out to the Japanese hibachi grill for lunch, so I should be able to stay compliant. Will have steak/shrimp combo with stir fry veggies. Yum Then later this afternoon and evening I will be working and setting up my appointments for the weekend. All in all it should be a stellar day!
