Another gorgeous sunny day here today. I've sat out on my deck and read a good part of the afternoon... Tomorrow am going to a wine/cheese tasting affair downtown - ticket $$ were donation to a good cause.
EWEFLUFFY IS NOW KICK-SS
TODAY IS THE TOMORROW YOU WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY. GET ON WITH IT!!
BEFORE YOU CAN START A NEW CHAPTER - YOU HAVE TO FIRST TURN THE PAGE!
Forgot to set the alarm last night so I got up a little later than I should have - about 10am. Which was not great since my elder son and I were supposed to start a 5K walk at 11 and the drive was at least 25 minutes!
We were nearly the last ones to start (which was OK, we had preregistered and just needed to check in). It's a fundraiser/Senior Project involving one of our young parishioners, Timmy. He has Huntington's Disease (he's about 20 now) and isn't expected to make it much past his mid-20's. One of his former soccer club teammates chose to organize a 5k fundraiser for the Huntington's Disease Society of America in his honor. An excellent turnout! There were at least 100 walkers, and probably at least as many runners.
We didn't keep terribly accurate count of our time, but it was just about 60 minutes. Man those hills at the end were rough, though!
Still gotta get a shower and then get some housekeeping done. Have a great day all!

The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest--but the myth--persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.
I made a nice breakfast for me and hubby. Just taking it easy today. I think I am feeling better every day. I went through some rough days after radiation involving burnt skin, cracking and really sore. But Aquaphor ointment and Udder cream have helped and I am much better!
We are going to our DD and SIL's for a BBQ. She went vegan a few months ago but he did not so hopefully there will be some good meat on the barbie. Not veggie burgers So far on track today and plan to stay that way.

I'm up with the Schnauzers drinking coffee and waiting for my MIL to get up. We stayed up late last night talking, catching up, and drinking wine and I think I lost track of the wine... My head sorta hurts! LOL I love having her here though, and we caught up on a lot of family stuff - some sad, some heartbreaking, and some funny. Between the wine and all the news I had weird dreams. I think today we're going to go do some light shopping and then I'll drive her back to my (former) SIL's house. Found out they all went Paleo a few years ago, and we all have our eating in common! :) Awesome.

Good morning, all! Enjoying a nice, hot cup of coffee to get the day started and then I will be busy all day today as this is my biggest workday of the week. Making about 100-150 phone calls to set up my appointments for next week. (I am a life insurance/retirement consultant) and Saturday is the best day to reach people at home, then I will go on a couple of appointments after lunch. After that, some errands and then hopefully to play tennis. If nobody's available to play tennis, then I'll go hit the treadmill at the gym. I just started working with a personal trainer and I am really sore, but gotta keep doing that cardio! Then back home for dinner and perhaps a movie with DH. Speaking of dinner, I better go and pull some chicken out of the freezer so I don't get tempted to order something naughty for take out like pizza! Planning meals is key!!
Make it a great weekend!

We watched the movie The Impossible last night, amazing film. We cried the entire time. Today I have a bunch of errands starting with new school uniforms. We have to go n to Montreal for that, which is a hassle.
it's 00:09 hrs here (that's 12:09 am), so, i am still in friday and going to bed now. my mom's birthday is april 27th, as is my mom's best friend. they were both born in the same hospital on the same day, but, didn't meet til jr high school. they have been bff ever since and are turning 69. they have one other bff from jr. high and the 3 gals go on a holiday somewhere every 5 years, so, next year they'll be off again. i think that's pretty great. nite all.
Just after 7:30 am here -- the dogs like me to get up early and feed them. LOL But it's good, as I get lots done, especially the packing that has to be at the post office.
Been real tight (and clean) on food for weeks, but this last week I have been up a pound and down a pound, never straying above or below those 2 one-pound-apart numbers. No idea why -- so I decided to add some (more) fat to my meals. We'll see what happens.
Sunny and cold today, with colder temps the next few days. What's with the frost at the end of April, anyway? It's nearly May!
Went to see 2 more house this past week... no go. What we seek, at what we can afford, is not often available. Meanwhile, the landlord's estate agent hasn't put up the FOR SALE sign yet, though it isn't expected to sell so fast anyway.
